Masseria Salamina

This place is so cool -- we stayed for 6 nights for a recent vacation. Such a great central location to visit nearby towns - Lecce, Bari, Polignano a Mare, Monopoli more. The staff was so pleasant and attentive to our requests -- breakfast and coffee were spot on. The rooms are cleaned each day and the grounds are spotless. The buildings are so cool to come back each night where we'd have a glass of wine sitting in a sofa or chair in a large sitting room. We had dinner 2 nights here, which were fine, but we also enjoyed several nice restaurants withing 15 minutes in nearby towns,

We were invited to a 3-day wedding on the premises. It is a beautiful place inside and out, Service was impeccable and food absolutely superb. The property can cater on various places inside and out for 100 - 120 people. We loved every day there. Atmosphere can be from very relaxed to extremely festive.

We had a booking for 16 people, 21:30 hrs - some of the food arrived cold, the monkfish was not cooked properly. Tiramisu was still frozen. The waiter did not even know what an affogato was. When sending dishes back to the kitchen, it took forever to be returned. The staff did not seem very happy and was not very attentive. When we complained upon settling the bill, the guy was very apologetic and sorry. However, he got his manager who denied any wrongdoing and they ended up charging us the full amount for everything, even though he assured us, that he’s giving us a discount. Very disappointing experience, such a beautiful place, be aware!

We stayed for a week and it was superb. The hospitality we received was warm and welcoming throughout our stay. The Masseria is a wonderful building retaining and showing off its heritage. Beautiful old stone and marble floors, arches, carved doors, barrel vaulted ceilings and elegant original furniture. It was a real treat to stay in such a place. Modern conveniences aren’t ignored though - the wifi speed was as good as we have at home, the bathroom was nicely appointed and spacious and the swimming pool and surrounding pool area were lovely. The pool was extremely clean. Wherever you looked there are places to sit scattered around the outside of the building - some sunny, some shady. The gardens are colourful and well kept. There is another covered area for lunch by the pool area and a small bar for drinks during the day and always a member of staff on hand if you need anything. We had room 33 upstairs in the main part of the Villa and it was lovely to walk up the old stairs and through the grand sitting room and ante room to get to our room. Our bed was a superking size, the air conditioning was excellent (it was very hot outside during our stay) and there was a fridge. We had a view of the large internal courtyard and the hills in the background. The courtyard is used for breakfast and dinner during the summer. It is a lovely place to eat surrounded by the old walls and lit at night. The food was superb and either grown on the Masseria or locally. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience of Puglia cuisine. So many different types of pasta, meats, sauces, cheeses and lots of vegetables and herbs and all beautifully presented. All the breads and cakes are made on the premises too. The waiting staff couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful. Service was excellent and it was a joy to eat there which we did every night. The other star of the show is the olive oil produced on the estate! We took part in an olive oil history and tasting session which was very interesting. We would definitely have brought some home but couldn’t as we were flying. At least we know what to look out for when buying olive oil in future. We would thoroughly recommend a stay here. Genuine hospitality, superb food and service, beautiful pool and lovely old building.

Cannot recommend this place enough. It's a working farm that looks like a castle and treats guests like royalty. Three nights were not enough to take it all in. This working farm is simply beautiful and the modern touches are just right--keeping the integrity of the property while providing all the comforts. It is a place to stay just for the relaxation and beauty, but it is also convenient located to visit various other sites of magical Puglia. The food was fabulous and the staff wonderful. My only complaint is that we didn't have enough time there to simply luxuriate. I plan to go back!

I recently visited Masseria Salamina for a week and I can't say enough about it. It was beautiful, immaculately clean, the location is great and the staff was the absolute best. Fillipo, the owner of the masseria, was extremely accommodating and helpful. We didn't have a car while we were there and he helped us with securing local transportation and restaurant recommendations. We had to do nothing while we were there. I would like to visit again but in the summer so I can take advantage of their beautiful pool. I highly recommend Masseria Salamina!

Local com muita paz, acomodações confortáveis, café da manhã bom, atendimento nota dez. O restaurante também agrada, muito charmoso e com comida boa. Uma experiência que vale a pena conferir. Piscina linda, com serviço simpático. Recomendo

Fantastico - vraiment magnifique. Superbe Masseria, qui cultive et propose leurs propres produits. Nous y avons soupé en famille plus d'une fois et c'était très bon, et le service optimal, le personnel très gentil et toujours serviable. Les enfants ont pu profiter de la piscine (19 oct 2022). Notre chambre était propre avec une petite terrasse pour profiter du soleil. Les responsables de la Masseria sont très acceuillants et à l'écoute. Nous avons dû malheureusement écourter notre séjour d'une nuit (vol annulé) et cela n'a pas été un souci. La masseria se trouve un peu à l'écart donc tranquille mais pas loin en voiture de villes "Must be visited" comme Ostuni, Monopoli, Polignano a mar, Alberobello et la côte adriatique. Une grosse recommandation.

Super fijne plek tussen de olijfbomen. Wij hebben hier 5 super fijne dagen gehad. Het is een hele mooie plek en allemaal erg goed geregeld. Ontbijt was veel keuze & vers Diner was uitstekend, hebben 3 avonden erg lekker gegeten en gedronken & ook het personeel was erg vriendelijk en gastvrij Relaxed zwembad met handdoek & bar service. Zeker aan te raden!
