We reserved a suite and a connecting room for our children. It felt as if we were in a flat. We stayed one week. We asked for a view on the Royal Palace, which I highly recommend. Hotel is very new and extremely comfortable and luxurious, staff very friendly and professional. Special mention for Sotheavy Hem in the breakfast lounge, dynamic and always ready to help and to the enthusiastic Srini. As othet reviews mentioned hotel is ideally placed. Hotel was above my expectations and I can only recommend to stay there.

Beautiful old hotel right opposite the Royal Palace. The hotel grounds make you feel like you're surrounded by nature. The rivrr promenade is a 3 minute walk away. Breakfast was very good with a wide selection of Western, Asian and local Cambodian food. After arriving quite late, Mealea restaurant was great for dinner. We had a few drinks, a salad and 2 local dishes which came to around $45. Overall, a lovely place to stay and will definitely return.

I had the most wonderful weekend at the Himawari Hotel and Apartments. I stayed at one of the newly renovated rooms and it was really great! I had a nice view of the Mekong river. The showers have good water pressure too. I was also impressed at the staff of the hotel. Incredibly polite and courteous, which put a smile on my face always. As a return guest, I was so pleased that some of the longer serving staff remembered me! It made me feel at home and that Himawari is one big family ❤️ I’ve always enjoyed my meals at the Oyster restaurant too. Buffet breakfast always excellent, as well as their regular menu. My favorite are the fish and chips (as good as any high end restaurants I’ve been too) and the beef Lok Lak over rice. Overall, I highly recommend staying at the Himawari when you’re visiting Phnom Penh. I’ll be looking forward to returning in the future!

The Sokha hotel is an amazing place. An enormous hotel but with nothing going on. We arrived at 8pm and were upgraded to a suite. A huge room in a huge hotel but nobody else in the hotel? The venue was very clean, lots of staff all very friendly. The hotel is the wrong side of the river. On the other side it was buzzing with locals and tourists unlike the hotel sokha side which has only locals. Even the tuk-tuk drivers don’t want to go there. Breakfast the following morning was good. We paid less than £100 for this hotel, great value for a 5* hotel but Unfortunately lacking customers and therefor any sort of atmosphere !

Lyna pour l'attribution de ma chambre, elle fait face au revers, c'est fantastique. c'est un bon gars. The location of this hotel is beautiful. The accommodation is what I like the most, I like the design and how comfortable it be. Cleanliness is nothing to complain its very clean. This is first time that my friend and I visit Phnom Penh. So, this hotel makes this vacation more remarkable. The view in the night is spectacular. Possibly one of the best places I’ve ever stayed at in my life and I travel a lot. I’ve experienced a lot of hotels. The pool area is very tropical with lots of mature plants and trees. The water temperature is perfect. Great cabanas on the edge of the pool and plenty of them. The food at the restaurant is great. Plus I love the lighting in the restaurant at night. In fact the lighting is well thought out throughout the hotel and in the rooms, creating ambience and mood. It’s something that’s so often overlooked in hotels. The room itself is a reasonable size with a very comfortable bed, fridge, tv, AC, god water pressure and hot water, lots of nice little touches in the rooms. Pretty cushions, free water, toiletries, flowers. I also loved the day bed for reading. I had a balcony overlooking the pool on the second level. It was peaceful and all I could hear was bird song. The staff are smiley and attentive. The location is perfect. Yet despite its central location it’s so peaceful. When you come in off the street and walk passed the Koi carp pond you feel as if your walking into another world. It’s as if the sound even from the street gets turned down, even the air smells differently here which I’m assuming is due to all the plants. The price is competitive and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the place highly. I will be returning in December and will definitely be back. Also don’t miss a deep tissue massage at the spa with Bopa , it’s one of the best I’ve ever had. Just book it!

Yes, the Frangipani Hotel is good value for money. I was on a business trip for a non profit and had a small budget. The rooms were fine and the location was unbeatable. The reason I gave this hotel a five-star rating however is because of the staff. I had a problem involving hundreds of dollars cash and the night manager personally went out of his way to correct it. He went far and beyond and then refused to accept a tip. I will never forget that. Kindness earns stars.

On arrival I was slightly underwhelmed; the reception area is pretty basic. But the room was absolutely delightful, plenty of space, a superbly comfy bed, lovely views out over the river (and a balcony to enjoy it from) and stylish but simple decor. Spotlessly cleaned by the lovely housekeeping staff. I felt that I'd landed in heaven. Reception staff were super-helpful (although English was a bit limited) and breakfast (in the adjoining restaurant) was super. Staff were wonderful, the food selection was a bit limited I guess, but the service, quality of food and presentation made up for it. There aren't THAT many rooms, and I think I was probably lucky to be able to have been able to book at short notice just a day or two before my stay) and the price I paid was fantastically reasonable for the standard of accommodation. The rooftop bar/restaurant, with a bit of a breeze and a beer in the early evening was super too; with a wide range of locals and visitors. I should also add that the hotel is within a short tuk-tuk ride of all the major Phnom Penh attractions. Thank you so much, team. I hope very much to return some day, it was a splendid experience.

We were traveling in a group, we had 8 rooms booked more than a month in advance, we arrived late because our flight was deviated due to bad weather, we contacted them to notify them about it and they replied with an ok. At 2:30-3 am that we arrived they told us that there were mo rooms available. The guy in the front desk had a really terrible attitude even saying that it was not his problem, and also telling us he couldn’t find our bookings. After a while the manager came and he did find all our bookings, and he managed to help us get the first night in a neighbor hotel (which given the circumstances we had no other choice).

Pretty good hotel. First it’s made in authentic Khmer style, just beautiful. Room is clean. One thing I just don’t get - only one socket. It’s really strange, we can’t charge all our devices. Very big and comfortable beds. Things seems a little old, but it’s ok, does not affect comfort. Personal is responsive. Breakfast is Swedish-table and it’s decent. Very good location - 2 mins from National Museum and Royal Palace. Near all embankment and all good bars. Definitely recommend for visiting.

From check in to check out, everything was almost perfect. But after check out, I had trouble to go to the Bus station.The Bus station I needed to go was not on the grab application. So I was needed to point out the location by myself on the map in Grab app. Eventhough, can find that location on google map, it was hard to point out on Grab map by pointing out due to the fact that map in grab was not that detailed like google and the whole alley on Phnom penh was so many. So I told one of the staffs to help me point out the location on Grab map that I needed to go comparing the right location on google map, but got rejected by the male staff. So shocked coz it's not that difficult request. It was just for him to help me point out the location on goolgle in grab. He just rejected just refused. So I called grab driver with rough location and needed to ask for the driver to help me find bus company that I booked with 10,000 tips. And then almost missed the bus. It should not happed to all guests including guests from Trip.com from now on.

When we went here, we were on a budget. We arrived at night, only to realise our card didn't work and they told us to pay the next day, giving us the first night for free. Now I don't know if this is standard procedure, but I was so grateful when it happened because it made me appreciate the staff more and the trust they had (of course I paid the next day if you were wondering!). We had no qualms, the room had everything we needed. Wifi was great, tuk tuks are everywhere and you could go places without it being expensive. If you're on a budget, I would recommend this place. It's clean and does the work. Ours was on the third floor and it was all stairs, which wasn't an issue for us because we only had light bags. If you're planning on bringing a heavy luggage, maybe you'd want to take that into consideration. Lovely stay, will recommend for cleanliness, and staff kindness.

The hotel actually has a different name - Altos Hotel. It looks a little more aged or run down than what you see in the photos. However, the service was excellent. Housecleaning lady left water at my door even though I had a ”Do not disturb” sign on my door. One of the men at reception also went to a nearby shop for me to make photocopies of important documents.

Booked via Agoda for $10 a night. same place as Diamond Palace II/RS II Opposite the park. 2 rows of 4 rooms with the ones at the front having a view the ones at the back are quieter. The stairs are a bit steep. There's no lift. I got a small but decent sized room for 1 person. Wifi was good. There were 2 bottles of water in the room. I put them in the fridge (which was unplugged, doh!). Some of the plug sockets were a bit dodgy in the room. I asked to be moved to another room. This one was better. Most of the plug sockets worked and there was a wardrobe and it was on the 2nd floor.
