Book to celebrate my anniversary. The location is perfect, walkable distance to 7-11, massage, restaurant, and bike rental. There will be slightly far if walk to beach, but after rental of bike should not be an issue.

Grand Kata VIP Hotel left a fantastic impression on me this time! It's a one-bedroom, one-living-room layout, less than 300 RMB, and includes a buffet breakfast for two. This transitional hotel was really, really good!

We booked for 2 days, and ended up staying for another 2 days. We chose the two-bedroom option without breakfast. The room had pool towels, a microwave, and a small stovetop, so you could cook your own meals if you wanted to. Housekeeping was daily, and each room had air conditioning, which was very convenient. There was a view of a construction site, but we didn't mind it, and it wasn't particularly noisy at night.

The location is the hotel's main selling point! It's close to everything: an excellent cafe (Orhide House), a laundry service, a bakery, a bus stop, a fruit market, a bus stop for the airport, a street with bars, and much more. No police presence, you can grab a scooter and ride to Karon or Davai. The breakfast buffet is excellent, with 5 types of eggs to choose from, and the menu isn't monotonous – things change up. There's a pool with a bar. The room itself has a kitchen, a bathroom with a tub, and a balcony. The only downside is that there's construction nearby from 9 AM to 6 PM, so it can be noisy, but you didn't come here to sleep, did you?

Really loved the hotel! The breakfasts were absolutely the best – you just tell them what you want, and they'll make you an omelet or poached eggs right on the spot. There's a great variety. The rooms are clean and are tidied up every day.

I had a very positive experience at this hotel. The location is convenient, with a 7-Eleven, KFC, night market, laundry service, and massage parlors nearby. It's about a 10-15 minute walk to the beach if you enter from the northern side. I really liked the room; it's clear it had a recent refresh. The kitchen has cookware available. Breakfasts are typical for Thailand. The only minor drawback is that there's construction happening nearby, specifically behind our pool, past a mesh fence. However, they only work during the day, so the noise didn't bother us.

Not very near to the beach and the shuttle bus was down hence we needed to walk quite a bit to the beach. Very near to 7e and a lot eateries nearby as well as the night market.

Pros: + Convenient for extended stays, with a fully equipped kitchen (pots, pans, spatula, though no sharp knife). + Air conditioning in both the bedroom and living room (convenient because you can turn it on in the living room and it will cool the bedroom without blowing directly over the bed, which often happens). + Lots of cafes nearby, a night market, and a 7/11 just a minute's walk away. + Staff are quick to respond to requests and feedback. Cons: - There's a construction site nearby, and some road noise. - A bit far from the beach, about 12-15 minutes to Kata Beach. - Housekeeping is poor. The floor was only cleaned 2-3 times in two weeks, and only when requested. - Breakfast is average (but generally has the essentials). - The Wi-Fi constantly disconnects, and you have to re-enter your login and password every day.

No laundry room. The balcony has two air conditioner units, which you can use to hang clothes. It's like a small one-bedroom apartment, very quiet at night! The room I stayed in had two beds pushed together... Breakfast was okay, seems to be a set menu. I wish there were more options.

Coming back after a few years, I've really noticed that prices in Phuket have skyrocketed, even more so than in Bangkok. Especially for consumables like slippers, buying them locally is terrible value for money. I highly recommend bringing them from home, otherwise it's a shame to buy a pair only to wear them for a few days and then throw them away. Regarding the accommodation: The hotel I chose this time had a great location, making getting around super convenient. - Transportation: Getting to the beach was very easy, just about a 10-minute walk. - Food & Drink: The breakfast quality was consistently good and worth trying. Overall, even though the prices were shocking, a comfortable stay definitely helped improve my mood.

The apartment-style room has two air conditioners; if one is too cold, you can use the one in the living room. There's an induction cooker with pots, and I used the microwave to heat up a bento box once, which was very convenient. The only downside is the noisy construction site across the street, which looks like it will continue for a long time.

The price of this hotel varies greatly between the off-season and peak season, but the hotel facilities are truly excellent. The rooms are laid out with a separate kitchen, living room, and bedroom. The hotel itself has three swimming pools, and the reception hall is very spacious. The breakfast in the morning is also quite good. The location is also very convenient. If you rent a scooter, getting to the beach is incredibly fast, and it's only about a ten-minute walk. The hotel is also very, very close to a street food area where the snacks are cheap and delicious. In the evenings, there's a lively bar street nearby. There's also a highly-rated and very clean 'The One Thai Massage' shop (Branch 1) near the hotel, which offers purely green services. You need to book your massage in advance, otherwise, you'll have to wait a long time. I recommend the 300 baht an hour option; it's very relaxing and stretches you out nicely. Downstairs, just a 3-minute walk away, is a 7-Eleven convenience store, and there's also a Chinese restaurant next to it. I'll definitely book this hotel again next time I visit during the off-season.
