Lovely hotel right in the heart of the walled city. Be aware entrance is trough a hairdresser. Spacious and modern rooms, very clean and traditional. Before you visit be advised, taxis cannot enter walled town therefore cannot reach the hotel. Ask taxi driver to drop you off at the East gate of the walls and from there take the golf cart like vehicles (only taxi service allowed within the walled area) to reach the hotel. If you speak mandarin you may be able to get the service for free from the hotel, couldn't get it before check in but they kindly drove me to the East Gate for free when I left. Closest gate to the hotel is the South but has no vehicular access, if carrying luggage, always use East Gate.

Alice and everyone at the hotel are so lovely, extremely attentive and took care of our needs. We received a crash course from Alice how to tour the inner city, making our short stay in Pingyao effective and visiting all the key scenic spots with ease. The hospitality from everyone is the best I have experienced in a very long time. Thank you for making this such a lovely trip stay for us in Pingyao ❤️.

a very good hotel, 7min away by walk of the center center of the city So we are not distrub by the noise authentic hotel i appreciate my weekend on it. first try on Kang bed =＞ I like it and the owner drove me to the train station !

房間乾淨整潔，設施齊全。民宿老闆會提前聯繫，告訴你最近的停車場。提供接送服務。接待的小哥哥帥氣陽光，熱情的笑容讓人感覺特別舒服。到達後小哥哥會給一張免費地圖並標註好主要景點位置路線時間。民宿的位置很好，在兩條熱鬧的主街的中間。去迎薰門看燈光秀很方便。民宿前有個大院子，門口有可供休息的桌椅，遮陽傘。北面的城隍廟街各種店鋪齊全，不用走太遠就能滿足所有需求。離城隍廟和文廟很近，這兩個景點建築一看就很古老，很值得去看。因為離主街都很近，每次出去玩累了還能及時回來休息，就像回家一樣。還有一個優點是雖然離主街近，但真的做到了鬧中取靜。晚上睡覺特別安靜。一家三口睡在大炕上，彷彿回到了小時候。我這個睡眠不好的人在這家民宿的兩晚竟然睡的特別好。每次醒來就好像小時候在家裡一樣。走的時候還給送了一瓶老陳醋，平遙的醋沒得説，特別香。總之，這是一次特別愉快的住宿體驗。如果再來平遙，還會住這家民宿。

Perfectly placed in a beautiful street near from the main attractions but quieter than the major touristic streets, this hotel is very charming and confortable. Owners are very nice and helpful. A place where to stay if you plan a few days in Pingyao !!

酒店位置還行，在主街後面，環境還可以，就是我們四個人給了三個被子，説沒有了，説明條件有限，沒有熱水，衹能説是温水，根本沒法洗澡，空調聲音跟直升機一樣，響一晚上，電視還是壞的，看不了，裏面有個大的礦泉水，要10塊一瓶，床別翻身，一動就響！外觀還好…

Excellent stay. It's a massive complex with many sections, looks beautiful day and night, perfect location near entrance gate to city wall and main roads. Room was big, clean, comfortable and nicely designed. Toiletries and breakfast included, good food. Staff very friendly, helpful and patient with my attempts at chinese/using a translator app. Overall great value, no issues at all.

The location was great; along a quiet alley just minutes away from the MingQing street. Hotel is a residential place and has beautiful courtyards. The breakfast was delicious, we even requested for extra helpings! Hotel offers pickup and dropoff at Pingyao Gucheng Station and helped arranged for a knowledgeable private guide for our day.

Great place in Pingyao. It is reasonably priced, a bit out of the very center (meaning also out of tourists crowds that can be quite noisy in the evenings and mornings), but still close, has same old-style design as the more popular and well-established places that cater to foreigners, but priced twice as much. Pick-up and drop off service is provided - just contact the hotel in advance via phone using the reception of tour previous hotel - no one speaks English - it will solve your communication issue if you do not speak Chinese. At the place itself everyone is very eager to help - use your phone app to translate. Onwer helped me to buy tickets to Pingyao attractions and Terracota Army as I was heading to Xian next (available only through WeChat Pay that is in turn is not availablefor foreign tourists as of April 2023). If you go to Shuanglin temple, be sure to ask to buy tickets through WeChat for you as well. I was able to buy physical one by pure compassion of local guard who asked the staff to open ticket office just for me (Probably was the only foreigner in Pingyao at a time). Please also note that as of April 2023, the reconstruction works in the historical city parts are continuing, so, large chunks of the city within the walls are not looking as great as it could have been. The very center of the city is mostly untouched though and you can still come and explore. If going in spring, be prepared for the temperature swings. I got a temperature drop from 28C to 3C within 2 days by the moment I got to Pingyao. It was even snowing at night.
