A lovely hotel in a quiet setting. Bar service was a bit slow but available most times during the day. Food service was ok. Breakfast was good… wide variety… although fruit could have been fresher, ( apple was brown). Dinner at night was ok. Entertainer was good, enjoyed his music and cheerfulness. Difficult to get a taxi on the day we left and was pouring with rain. Staff were really helpful and took us to the train for which we were really grateful! I suggest booking a cab the day before.
Our room was comfortable and a good size. However the bathroom window curtains need attention. A shower curtain pinned up with press studs wasn’t appropriate for security and privacy!
We would stay again.

Tatty rooms, we paid for a superior room, and it was cheap, office like furniture- room was large, but in no way worth the money spent. Service was average at best, no music in the bar or at the pool, so it had no atmosphere at all. The pool amenities weren’t good either, lots of broken lockers, we chose this hotel in part for the jacuzzi , which took approx 20-30mins to become operational again after one use. Very old and guests were sitting in it when off, on cleaning cycle. We waited 45 mins in the pool and didn’t get to use the jacuzzi or sauna as they were small or out of service. I wouldn’t stay here again. When we checked out, no one was at reception so we couldnt even feedback to them in person our disappointment.

Great value as there's a pool, jacuzzi and sauna. Room only so can't comment on the food. The family enjoyed the stay. It's a Victorian building so could do with some updates but had a creaky charm.

Check in was fine, gym was ok-ish. sauna ok. Bed was horrible, half of it was compressed and other falf was higher. presume its very old mattress..
Toilet didn't flush.

Plenty of free parking. Quiet area close to the town centre. Comfortable bed and spacious room.
Bar and restaurant available. Would definitely book again if working in the area.

The room was manky. The carpet was actually disgusting it made me baulk. Stained, like urine. Dust on top of pictures about 1cm thick. Duvet was torn. Shower terrible. No heater in bathroom. General cleanliness was so so poor.

The property could do with revamp pure quality lighting in the rooms. Well left was outdated. Staff went walking around with uniforms on every day clothing slate organization that menu wasn’t very great. Specially, the fish cake, coffee spelt over a carton, very uneven floor in the rooms and in the corridors I think the place needs a serious update in interior

Lovely stay at Pitlochry Hydro. Receptionist on arrival, was not very welcoming but did his job. Other staff encountered were friendly and helpful. Breakfast hot and varied. Did not use leisure facilities. Room and facilities were the standard we expected for 3 star large hotel. Enjoyed our stay for exploring Pitlochry and surrounding area.

The location in Pitlochry is great and the hotel is good overall though it needs to upgrade some aspects.
Family room was set out ideally with a double bed and two singles. Bathroom had all that was needed. Breakfast was adequate but bar meals reasonable priced. Room was cosy. Pool and sauna were good.
Check-in was a bit slow though. Service a bit patchy - I wanted a coffee from the bar one day and there was no-one there. Spoke to a managerial-looking guy on the reception who said he'd do it. Waited ten minutes before giving up. Bedroom windows are single-glazed and there was a lot of mould around the frames. Showers and changing rooms are not really big enough, esp at peak times. Also, not enough vegetarian/ vegan choices for breakfast.
Overall though we enjoyed our stay.
