H10 Timanfaya Palace

This is a beautiful and friendly hotel in an ideal location. The hotel is right on the seafront and only a 10 minute walk to playa blanca . Staff are friendly, efficient and interact with everyone. Food here is excellent especially in the Kasbah restaurant. Can't speak highly enough of this hotel . Only downside is so refurbishment required but could see some rooms were undergoing a face lift .

We visited early May 2024, the hotel definitely delivers on all counts. From checking in, room, food, pool areas, service and entertainment. As it was our 35th wedding anniversary during our stay we found a congratulations note and cava on ice in our room on arrival with a free upgrade to a pool/sea view. This set the scene for the rest of the week. Lots of staff who are very attentive, never had to wait for a drink. Evening entertainment was good quality every night with tribute acts. We have stayed in around 8 different Lanzarote hotels and this definitely is now top, as the saying goes you do get what you pay for!

We stayed at this hotel for the first time and we were very impressed by the cleanliness everywhere from our room to all the public areas. I don’t drink alcohol but having checked the drinks menu there a few zero alcohol choices such as tanqueray gin % which is very forward thinking. The staff are very accommodating and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Booked again for next April

Not posted a review for a number of years, we visited the hotel at the end of March for 10 days, and stayed Privilege All Inclusive. I emailed the hotel a week or so before and asked for a room on the 3rd floor and a low number, delighted that this was arranged. Good to be welcomed back at reception, with the check-in only taking a few minutes. I posted a couple of photos on Facebook of the view from our room, which was 301. Good to note that the WiFi appears to have been improved. Most days followed a similar pattern, early breakfast, then up to the privilege area, which in the main was quite quiet. Although some people were there very early for specific sun loungers and then heading for breakfast at 9,30, no real need there are plenty of loungers. We had breakfast and lunch in the buffet restaurant, as it suits us, with the staff bringing water and wine to the table as soon they spotted us coming in for lunch. We also ate in the buffet most evenings, although we had booked the Kasbah for a couple of nights but in the end cancelled the bookings, the menu has remained the same for a number of years which is bit disappointing. Most evenings we would go to the Piano Bar after dinner for a couple of drinks and then head downstairs depending on what the entertainment was on. As a malt whisky and gin drinker delighted with the choices available, many thanks to Angel for looking after us most evenings. We have in the last few years stayed twice a year at TP, although we have stayed at better hotels TP suits us on many levels. The staff are really excellent, from the boss Jose through all the departments. It was good to see Jose in the restaurant most lunchtimes and evenings. We enjoyed the meat and fish being freshly cooked at lunchtime and also in the evenings, we didn’t have lunch in the Pool bar this trip, and would have drink most days in the Privilege Lounge. The Club Bar has been a great addition in recent years, although if it opened a bit earlier that would great as its a bit of a trek if you run out of water in the morning and need to go down to the Pool Bar. We have already booked our next trip which will be in November, are there things that could be improved of course there are, lots of people enjoy the Kasbah restaurant but for us the menu needs to change, maybe a couple of daily chef specials would help. As many people have stated the staff are great, and its always a nice touch when they have remembered you from previous visits and what you drink. The GM has stated many times that they are a very good 4 star hotel, that’s their aim which they achieve. In summary a very enjoyable holiday, many thanks to everyone at TP, for ensuring that this is the case.

We have just returned from Timanfaya Palace Hotel brilliant Holiday staff were wonderful especially the Restaurant staff the food although good isn't very hot plenty of choice yes we would stay there again great location straight onto the promonard.This Hotel is situated in the ideal position plenty of walks

The check in was smooth and efficient for my wife and I. Our room was laid out well and everything was working as they should. There is a coffee machine in the room but not for us so phone reception and asked for a kettle 10 minutes later kettle arrived. Our room had a sea view and was cleaned to a high standard every day. Plenty choices for food and very tasty and never any problems getting a table. All the staff we had dealing with were allways polite and helpful. Easy access to the promenade turn left to the marina and right to the lighthouse. We have had many good holidays abroad but only two exceptional ones and Timanfaya Palace is one of them.

Our 2nd visit to this fabulous hotel. We booked the hotel direct and also contacted in advance. The response was a warm welcome before we’d arrived. As H10 members we had a room in the area requested, additional meal at the Kasbah, welcome wine, mini bar, bathrobes, slippers and daily turn down service with chocolates. We had a friendly welcome on arrival and a speedy check in, where we were given the new wristbands which gave entry to our room and the colour showed room board for drinks and food (we booked all inclusive). The food was good both within the buffet restaurant and at the Kasbah a la carte. Plenty of choice at the buffet with fresh fish and meat made to order, along with omelettes at breakfast. The location is perfect to enjoy the Playa Blanca coastline. A short walk to Flamingo beach with a small selection of shops and approx an hour stroll to the marina. We hired a car on this visit and drove to the north of the island for a day trip out. €70 for an SUV using Cabrera Medina in the port. The service from the hotel staff is exceptional, all friendly but a special mention to Pepe in the main restaurant and Angel in the pool bar. There is work being done by the pool which we can imagine is disruptive if your room is in that location, but it didn’t impact on our holiday, and for a hotel open all year round ongoing maintenance is needed. The weather was mixed and quite breezy but our stay in such lovely surroundings made it a memorable holiday. We will return.

First time at this hotel for a short break. Initial impressions were good as we walked in to the hotel lobby, nice area which smelled lovely! Friendly staff and greeted with a glass of bubbly. Unfortunately couldn’t get in the room until 15:00hrs so we tried the buffet lunch. Usual buffet style food, nothing outstanding. One very friendly waiter stood out for us and looked out for us every time he saw us. The room key is on a wristband you have to wear 24/7. We found it extremely temperamental; it took ages rubbing it against the door to try and get it open. The walk to the room showed us a very tired and stained carpet. On entry to the room, the bathroom and the entire space were lovely and large. The balcony was overlooking the sea and pool area. Unfortunately the closer we looked at the room the more we found it was very tired. It really needs some updating. The furniture shows a lot of wear and tear, the TV is very old, the kettle doesn’t have anywhere to plug in unless you put it on the floor and the air con/heating system is out of date. The balcony furniture is that horrible brittle white plastic. Even more annoying is that the balcony sides are so high when you sit down you can’t see over! So all you can see is the sky. On arrival there was a lot of bird droppings on the floor so I had to visit reception to get them to clean that up. One of my biggest bug bears with hotels is when they don’t have any night lighting in the bathroom. The bathroom lighting is horrendously bright when you get up in the night. The bed is a VERY hard pocket spring mattress, very wide but not very long. There is a fridge in the room but there was nothing inside it. We did have a welcome bottle of cava which was nice. There is a safe but reception didn’t have the reset key so we couldn’t use it. They also charge for its use!? The hotel is large and over 5 floors, lots of stairs and lifts. The water feature running through the hotel is a nice touch but was annoyingly dirty and grim. The pool area is nice and they have thankfully updated the tiles; they are in the process of updating the tiles everywhere outside so there was some building working going on whilst we were there. We always found a bed and reserving beds isn’t allowed prior to 09:30hrs. The beds are very basic and pretty uncomfortable. The breakfast buffet is good enough although the coffee is TERRIBLE. The lunch at the outside restaurant is also okay; better than the buffet. However, I’d avoid the chicken burger as it’s some weird chicken patty thing. We tried the al a carte restaurant once and were very disappointed. I’d stick with the buffet. The food was uninspiring, the menu lacked any creativity and each meal came with the same potatoes and veg. Service was good. The usual commercial drinks are available at the hotel but I’d avoid any off the menu cocktails. I tried a whisky sour… it was whisky of some sort but no sour, and served in a martini glass. We just love this hotel.the room was great...plenty of food to choose from.plenty of sunbeds for everyone...love theres no kids so its peaceful and relaxing...but my fave part to this holiday is the cats 😍I love them all. Would go and feed them every morning and in the evening..so lovely to see how they have grown from kittens..🐈‍⬛🐈🐈‍⬛ as for the people who dont like them they do not bother you and will leave you alone.5 mins out of the back of hotel takes you to a lovely beach..nice and shallow for swimming.supermarkets in front of the beach or a spar supermarket along the main road at the front of hotel around a 15min walk.town is around 20 mins along coastal path.will be returning next may+november 😁counting the days down already .if your going lucky you+enjoy this fab hotel x
