The experience of the holiday over all was fantastic, and we have to thank the staff for making making so, comfortable rooms, and situated in quiet part of playa del carmen, nothing wasn’t too much to ask the staff where always there to help us, we definitely will be back, thank you again for making our holiday so amazing.

I guess this hotel has to be reviewed on the basis that it is a very cheap place in the middle of a very expensive town. The pros are that it is in an excellent location with large, comfortable beds, good air conditioning, a large fridge, microwave and electric hob and a lot of storage space and has friendly staff. The cons are that it is very basic in terms of facilities, the rooms are small, there is very little equipment in the kitchen and it needs a proper deep clean ( there were cobwebs, the bed head was very dusty and there was a lump of hair stuck on the back of the loo door which other reviewers have mentioned). The rooms also have very thin walls and the staff have very poor English. Also the breakfast was pretty dismal and when we had to leave early for a trip before the time when breakfast could be brought to the room, they were not willing to put it in the fridge for our return. In conclusion it was sufficient for our needs since we planned to be out for most days and it was near lots of restaurants and the beach so good value for money.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotelito del Mar for many reasons! The rooms are very spacious so instead of a room you get a small apartment with a lovely kitchen dining area and a nice bedroom with a comfy king bed. The apartment don’t have see view but there’s a lovely palm just outside. Air conditioning works well, good size wardrobe and good bathroom. Whatever you need extra you can just ask and the staff will give it to you. We stayed 10 days but we could easily stay longer as it was super comfy. Nice to come back to our nice little apartment every day and find it clean and tidied up by the maid. I travelled with my partner and little baby and we really needed to stay in a comfortable place and it was. The staff was super friendly and helpful and always super nice with our baby girl. Especial thanks to Gina, the receptionist, she has been super professional and at the same time kind, it felt to have someone to try on for everything for our all stay. The swimming pool also is very nice but unfortunately we didn’t use it as we were very busy doing trips and going to the beach . Playa it’s a great place for that and we made the most of it. If at any time of my life we will go back to Playa we will go back to the Hotelito. It’s in quieter area of Playa and it feels super safe. Thank you again! Martina, James and little India

First of all, do not understand from where are coming all those good reviews. The hotel definitely needs better maintenance, the furniture is dated, not clean, and the sofa needs profound cleaning. Hotel staff is not especially nice and welcoming. They barely respond hello to you. If you do not leave enough tips for the maid, you will not receive a proper cleaning of your room. Everything in the room is counted, starting from cutlery. Literally, if you are 2 people, you get two forks, etc. There is no bottle of water waiting for you in the room or any other courtesy. Towels - I have never experienced such low-cost, washed towels in the worst hotel I have visited in my life (after drying all the cotton stays on your skin). The main lady from reception is very gossip, so do not think is the good image for the place. Overall, we were not pleased with the stay, and we will not recommend or come back and to Playa del Carmen as this place became not friendly place for tourists.

Our rooms are finished in Italian marble and kitchen and appliances very new, In utensils we have to have a normal control so that you know what we leave or what you need but I do not think that is a catastrophic issue, since it is normal for places that you rent a space that will let you know that they deliver you so that you do not have a dislike, although we appreciate very much that they leave tips to the waiters that would be ideal because it is part of their day to day, if the tip is not left they will continue to serve you with all the love and passion to their work believe me when I tell you that we are not that type of company where we give or do not give service if there is money involved, First of all is our work, our passion and commitment If at any time we fail with a towel or white do not take it personal it is better to go to reception and gladly solve an issue so that you continue enjoying your stay, it is a pity that you take a bad impression but in the future anywhere you go if the rules are met you will see that every experience will be incredible :)

To me, the location is great — away from from the noise of la Quinta, yet still very close on foot. The staff at the reception was very friendly and reactive, as was the rest of the staff and the cleaning services. A special thank you to Selene and Gio for their advice and kind words during my stay.

Would definitely recommend! Clean. Reasonable rates. Friendly and helpful staff. Great little roof top patio with pool and lounge area - watch the sunset! We were treated to one complementary room service breakfast. Location is great ＞ away from the hustle/bustle, but close enough to walk to lots of dining/5th Avenue, a large grocery store and banks. My only dislike was the firmness of the mattress - it was too hard for my comfort. Hope you get the chance to visit!

Spacious and Comfortable Room Very good ACs, clean, frienfly staff, good kitchen, great location, there is a collectivo station close by, ask the staff for directions The breakfast is not good though, I skipped it. Still good value for money.

I stayed for almost a month at hotelito del mar during May 2022. The room feels like a one bedroom appartment. It is very cozy, clean, with a functional kitchen. The location is great, you can walk everywhere and it is a very safe neighborhood. I guess what really stands out is the staff. Everyone in the hotel is super friendly and helpful, it feels like being at home. Thanks guys for making me so comfortable. Totally recommend Hotelito del mar!

La habitación muy bien con lo necesario para la estancia , cocineta , baño , refrigerador y limpieza , buena atención de la Señorita Sarai en recepción , tranquilo para dormír bien , sábanas y toallas limpias , solo me faltó subir a la alberca .

Excelente atención de los recepcionistas, en especial Gina, muy amable y atenta. El servicio de los apartamentos son cómodos con lo justo y necesario. El servicio de habitaciones muy bueno, lo recomiendo para aquellos que quieran visitar Playa del Carmen y elegir un lugar de descanso acogedor.

Estuve 5 días y me sentí como en casa, desde la recepción fuimos muy bien atendidos y asesorados en cuanto a restaurantes y lugares de interés, del apartamento ni se diga, hermosísimo, amplio y con todo lo necesario para pasar unos buenos días de estadía en Playa del Carmen

El lugar es muy bonito, muy limpio y la habitaciones ideales, la ubicación esta bien, puedes ir caminando a la 5a avenida y tiene restaurantes ricos cerca. Lo único pero Muy importante... las camas y las almohadas no son comodas, no dormimos agusto.

El hotel es muy tranquilo, aseado y cuenta con todas las comodidades necesarias para una estancia muy cómoda, el servicio del personal muy amable y atento! Esta cerca a la 5° AV por lo que tienes acceso a ella fácilmente, pero la zona es muy tranquila por lo que no te molesta el ruido.
