Ukino Terrace Algarve Concept

Having just spent 2 weeks at this hotel , I can say the accommodation was spacious and clean , the food enjoyable , reception and restaurant staff lovely . We stayed fully inclusive enabling us to have drinks at the pool bar until 7pm . There is another bar on site named the Sweet spot if I remember rightly . Unfortunately food is only available to purchase and drinks are only available between 7pm and 11pm . It is a public bar so anyone passing by or locals frequent the pub . The highlight of our stay has to be the entertainment staff Pedro, Carolina and Salvi !! They go absolutely above and beyond to keep you entertained and nothing is too much trouble , with little resources compared to the bigger hotel and outside entertainment provided only 3 nights per week .they will be sure to keep you entertained with their energy, kindness and you may be one of the many who go home with wonderful new dance moves lol and know every trick in the book to cheat at Uno ,on a quiet evening ! We truly would have been bored without them and are a credit to themselves and the hotel . Unfortunately I can’t speak as highly regarding the sweet spot bar manager whose main priority seemed to be how much revenue he could make from passing trade . Being fully inclusive is a draw back as tables are needed for paying customers and our nightmare of trying to reserve a table for a group to celebrate a birthday … eventually was resolved under duress . That aside we had a lovely break away which was welcomed. The supermarket is a 10 min walk away . There is a little lovely beach at the bottom of the hill with a tiny cave to the right , it leads to another beautiful beach . There is a bar on the beach that arranges boat trips and serves delicious food and drinks . There is a land train that leaves every hour at twenty to the hour , that takes you to an amazing beach with bars , restaurants and shops for 4 euro return . Other than that there is nothing in the area so it’s peaceful !

Hard one to review. Many pros but a lot of cons. So the pros : The rooms are very spacious, clean and well equipped. A great location for the restaurants, beach and boat trips. Staff are friendly and very helpful. We were a family of four with breakfast included. The buffet breakfast was decent, more than enough selection. Pool area clean and spacious with a pool bar and changing room nearby. Sea view from our room over looking the play area, from the big balcony, was lovely. A great cafe serving very good snacks and drinks. The pastry's are amazing. Now the cons : Rooms can get very noisy depending who's your neighbour. The noise seems to echo constantly. Our bathroom smelled of cigarettes due to the extraction system. The whole layout seems wrong. The biggest issue by far is no bar area at night, no pool table etc. The restaurant is tucked away on the bottom corner. Overall a decent hotel but i've stayed in way better. As a family all inclusive i'd be very cautious. I met a couple on all inc and were not happy at all. This resort is better suited to adventures couples using it a base to explore the Algarve. Not dreadful, but we won't be returning.

Absolutely loved it here! Such a warm home from home vibe. Booked fairly last minute and just wanted somewhere for some R&R, with a pool and close enough to walk to a beach. The beach is great and about a 6 minute walk, walk through the tunnel to the right and you get to the next beach. Apartment was huge, we had a 1 bed (plenty big enough for 4 people) side sea view but actually ended up with the front line apartment facing the sea and with 2 huge balconies! Never wanted to leave that view. Little bakery/cafe at reception is great and convenient. Room was cleaned every other day and fresh towels. Area is quiet so not the place to go if you want lively, but there are restaurants and a mini market in walking distance. You can hire a car from reception which we had planned to do but then didn't get round to it, instead we got a taxi into the town one day which cost 10euros had a wander and did the bengil caves boat trip then caught the land train back, nice and easy. There is an entertainment team around the pool, the kiddy club was mainly for under 6yeats old with arts and crafts, kids looked like they were having fun and then there were activities on the hour like table tennis, darts, volleyball etc, my kids are older and enjoyed joining in those. We thought drinks were expensive for the size at the pool bar and cocktails weren't brilliant that's probably the only down side. We loved the mix of nationalities around the pool, although busy we always managed to get sunbeds. Nice to have a pool where kids can play with inflatables and balls, but equally it was never an issue swimming lengths. We had such a good time that we plan on coming back next year! Hopefully we can get the same apartment number 😜

Great hotel, rooms clean, comfy and very spacious. Quiet and dark at night, nice size, fully equipped kitchen. Close to beaches, short walk/drive to various restaurants. Lovely little Terrace club bar/restaurant on site, nice food, dj vibes. Would defo recommend car hire, lots worth seeing & too far to walk into neighbouring resorts. They do offer a mini tram to take you in, but we never used as had a car. (Also free parking on site) No complaints. Yes you need a key fob to open door to pool .. not really a drama just take it down with you ?! A kids club seem to run around the pool area, probably aimed towards younger children. Happy half term stay for us, would recommend and return.

On arrival the Reception Staff were very Friendly and Helpful our Apartment was spacious and clean the Restaurant well equipped Good Food and Beers and Wine. The Restaurant Staff were very Friendly and Efficient Good Size Pool with Friendly Poolside Bar The Animation Team were a good bunch getting all involved The only Drawback was the Hotel does not have Lifts We were on the 3rd Floor and it was a pull carrying the Cases to the Apartment you are best going All Inclusive as there are not many Bars and Restaurants Nearby.

On arrival it was easy to check in staff were friendly , we were in room 512 so ground floor We found our block our apartment was very large and clean but very dark and dreary It had 4 terraces with patios doors but was very cold and dark Only one plug socket in bedroom Only one plug socket that was safe to use in kitchen for 3 appliances Hob that tripped electrics everytime you used it , the apartments are very basic but serviceable but the main problem was noise , loud music every evening , doors slamming , shutters going up and down the building allows you to hear every noise The pool is lovely but again not that peaceful We booked self catering as we like it relaxing and quiet These apartments cater for all boards so lively entertainment round the pool ! Resorts is very quiet so not much around and only a few restaurants and the beach is lovely but sunbeds 20 euros for 2 beds seems a bit steep Lots of places only except cash Glad we had a hire car for the week or would have got bored !

Stayed for a week with my 2 daughters and my mum. Stayed in a 2 bed apartment,the apartment is basic but clean and very spacious.2 bathrooms and a massive balcony.the beds were very comfortable. Pool area was nice could always get a sun bed,nice little pool bar too. We were self catering,found some lovely places to eat within walking distance.if walking isn't for you,taxis are so cheap I used the bolt app.taxi to albufeira was only 10 euros each way. Lovely beaches only 5 min walk away. Supermarket 10 min walk. Only down side was we were on the 3rd floor and my mum having to use a stick was a bit of a struggle with her but managed it. Overall a nice stay,would definitely return.

Booked via easyJet Holidays. Upon arrival reception had no record of our booking, eventually found it for 3 days later! Ist room allocated was on the 3rd floor , no lifts ( not mentioned in description) so no good . Moved to 1st floor by helpful staff to Room A12 . Room basic but fine. Ist and 2nd night unbelievable, unacceptable shouting and singing to 1 and 2am. Hotel made fully aware of this via their helpful security department. Moved out for next 4 nights. Returned for our last night to catch our early airport transfer next morning. Unbelievable same early hours noise disturbance. Security and hotel informed. Maybe we were just unlucky to choose this week with a particularly noisy group of guests staying. However we will not be returning. Additional local info Steep road or many steps to nearest beaches Limited choice of eating out places around Supermarket 10 minutes walk away A hire car or taxi would be good if you wanted more than sit by the pool all day.

The entertainment staff at the pool are excellent, in particular Pedro and Carolina. They are great with the children older and young. Various activities around the pool and sports area all day. Theyre really kind, helpful and informative. My son has ADHD and they were great with him and kept him busy all day. If I was to come back or recommend others they would be the reason. The bar staff in the separate bar however aren’t great, they’re rude, question people about all inclusive unnecessarily and prioritise the separate ‘paying customers’ over the all Inclusive guests that are using the hotel.
