Hotel Porec dengan Bar

The hotel is a little gem. Fabulous location on the Porec waterfront, well appointed and comfortable rooms, a genuinely world class breakfast /brunch offer and lovely helpful staff. We arrived mid-day and were quickly taken yo our room (301 , superior sea view). The room was not the largest in the hotel but for us was great as it was very quiet and peaceful with spectacular views over the harbour and nearby island. We did hear other guests saying their rooms were a little noisy, we think on 1st floor above the bar, but as I said, upper floors were peaceful. You could if you were so inclined eat so much during the longest breakfast /brunch that you will not eat again that day and just take the complementary boat to the hotels island and beaches to rest...... but then you would miss out on the champagne and canapes provided between 5 pm and 6 pm daily. This hotel likes to feed you!! Fabulous hotel run by fabulous people. will return again soon.

We are staying here at the moment having stayed at a great hotel the other side of porec multiple times (Park Resort) and the hotel in itself is not shabby or run down and has decent facilities, but is not really for people with young families. We were given a room which looks like it has come straight from the 80’s with us huge solid wood cupboards and furniture. There could be so much more space if they simply removed this and put some cheap modern furniture in like the ones in the pictures! Needless to say our room looks nothing like the pictures! You also have to pay for a fridge in this hotel too which is another €50 and is not exactly the coldest or most powerful. I asked at reception having known this from other reviews and it’s been added to my bill even though when I got there I think there was already a fridge in there and one next door where my son and mother in law are staying- they haven’t added a fridge but theirs barely works! When I said the fridge was already in there so why should I have to pay I was told that they managed to put it in the room within the minute I walked from reception to room- yeah I doubt that! Sofa bed after spending 20 min removing 10 tonne 1980 cushions and throws and dodging the huge wooden furniture is very uncomfortable. Nowhere to really store suitcases or put buggy The hotel is quite possibly the most inaccessible hotel I have ever stayed in: - there are steps EVERYWHERE and 3 tiny lifts that only go from certain level. - steps by the pool, steps to get to the lift, steps to the restaurant, steps to the bar, steps to all the other bathing and pool areasj - most of the steps are just too wide that you can’t even gradually ease the buggy up so you ok literally have to carry it all the time! - all pool areas have small amount of sun beds which by 11am are all taken and before midday the here are literally no loungers AT ALL - yet most of them are empty for hours at a time if not the whole day - there is only one route down to the sea front and to all the different pools and it’s like a rabbit warren with no simple gates or openings to allow you to move freely between the different spaces. - for example if no sun loungers and want to sit on hammocks or grass, you have to walk all the way round because there are glass divides all around except a single entrance, and you guessed it- more steps!ii There was a stuff around this hotel but not loads and everything is at least a few minute walk. The ‘mini shop’ is pathetic and has no food or drinks really and just full of ‘tat’ and it opens at random times- best off walking a bit to a half decent market. There are a few nice little pebble coves but the sea was horrible with some dirty looking film on it or something right where you would expect to take the kids in normally. Having visited another plava Laguna I wouldn’t stay here again as most of the staff are pretty miserable too compared to the normal people we have come across in previous visits to

The Bo Palazzo is a very special hotel, with a rich history and southwest facing location at the end of the marina jutting out into the harbor. It is lovely, impeccably clean, very stylish in a classic way, and very customer service oriented. It is within very easy walking distance of everywhere in the small old town and, although it is on the far west end of the peninsula that is old town Porec, it is not far (20-30 minutes) to walk through the Riva and marina area to reach the grocery stores, shopping mall, and shady park with walking paths and beaches (and the occasional WW2 concrete pillbox defense structure) on the far eastern side of town. The sunset views are lovely as are the views of the marina, riva, and sea. Parking is offsite, at the large Valamar lot near the large community sports center about 10 minutes away. It is safe. Call about 10 minutes before you get to the lot and the hotel van will come to pick up and transport to the hotel. It’s about an 8 minute ride to the hotel. The hotel has a pool area but no beach, and there were no suncobrans (sun umbrellas) this year. The hotel breakfast is still a nice buffet but the offering has slimmed down noticeably in the past year. The bread is some of the freshest and most gluteny that we had anywhere in Croatia this year. The fresh cut fruit is particularly good as are the omelettes. The cereal selection is skimpy – mostly all nuts and muselix. Seating is both indoors and outdoors; watch out for scavenging seagulls outside. The Suite in which we stayed was beautiful, with solid burnished wood panels, large picture windows on three sides, a large balcony facing the water, a bedroom with a sliding wooden door, a living room area, a large formal dining area with a very large table, an office area, and two full baths. The windows open, which is nice. The AC is individually controlled and works well. The window curtains do a good job blocking out light and sunlight. The lighting is very decorative and classy chandeliers, chandelier sconses, and lamps. There is a large empty hallway at entry that is wasted space in which some storage tables / chests of drawers would be very useful. There is a small frig hidden in a desk in the far corner of the dining / office room area; you need to take out the hotel’s products to make room for your own, The large master bathroom has good sink shelf space but we cannot use the shower ….it is a large jacuzzi tub with a shower head that is a hand held only (not mounted high enough to use as a showerhead) and there is no curtain or glass wall to contain the shower water in the tub, vs. on the floor, nor to shield the person taking the shower. The small bathroom off of the main door has a walk in shower which is a self contained unit. It has excellent water pressure and is easy to use, although it is dark. We have been going to hotel Molindrio for 10 years with my parents and sister and are club members. Every year has been a great experience but that all changed this year. From the beginning the reception has told us every year that we are free to use the beach at hotel Parentium and we are also able to use the white chairs to lie down. We have been doing this ever since. This year we were approached by life guards at the beach asking us why we were using the white chairs if we are not guests of hotel Parentium, because this was not allowed. We explained that we have been doing this for years and had been told by the reception that this was not a problem because we were guests at the sister hotel Molindrio. When we made the reception aware of this altercation with the life guards they first claimed that these chairs were never offerd to us by the reception and that we were lucky that we had not been caught earlier for using these chairs ( which made us feel absolutely horrible, we just did what the reception has told us for years that we could do ), after we explained that we are not lying and have been guest for 10 years and have always been using these chairs they switched up the story and told us that there is a new management and there are new rules so we cannot use these chairs at the beach anymore ( so now we are not liars but the new director has given these orders, reception could have just told us this from the start instead of making us look like liars ). So we had to lie down on the concrete. My dad has a bad back and instead if a relaxing vacation his back got even worse from lying on the hard concrete with just a towel. Absolutely disgraceful! Furthermore the food this year was of very poor quality. The fruit they served was either rotten or without taste, which left us really feeling disappointed especially because we have been coming here for years and have always been so satisfied with the food. Needless to say we will not be coming back anymore after being treated this way. We are very disappointed.

A few people complain about the rooms/showers being small. I had an economy room with french bed, park side for single use. I was actually quite pleased with it and thought there was plenty of room. No balcony but I knew that when booking. I thought the food in the evening buffet was exceptional with lots of choice and the added bonus of soft drinks, wine and beer. The breakfast offering was fine but could have been improved by having some of the fresh fruit that was available in the evening buffet. The decor in the hotel is perfectly acceptable and the swimming pool was fine. Not a lot of sunbeds for the size of the hotel but I never struggled to get one mid afternoon. Loved the location, it is about an hours walk around the bay and through pine trees to get to Porec with fantastic views all the way round. If you don’t want to walk both ways (or either way) there is a small land train that costs €4 each way. I paid around €60 per night half board in the second week in June which I thought was very good value for a single traveller. Don’t bother with packages, get yourself a cheap Ryanair flight into Pula, hire a car and book a hotel directly on the Plava Laguna website. I stayed a few nights in Umag and then drove down the coast to Zelena Laguna to spend the last few nights at the Plavi.

Het is een prachtige locatie met uitzicht op zee. De kamers en badkamer zijn ruim met een zitje. Bedden liggen goed. Het was heel schoon en rustig. Geen lawaai en harde muziek of luidruchtig publiek. Heerlijk. Als je van een DJ houdt kan je naar een van de andere hotels lopen. Deze staan op het zelfde terrein. Wij hadden ontbijt en diner. Dat was uitgebreid veel keus en echt lekker. Wij gaan zeker terug naar dit hotel.
