We have stayed here many time because it is a beautiful building in an excellent location. The general staff are outstanding and the food and rooms are amazing. Unfortunately the front desk is just not the same as the rest of the experience. When I wrote in to ask for an early check in I got no reply- on my arrival I asked about this and was told because I got no reply that means it’s fine. I find this odd as I explained that we were arriving after a three part flight over 18 hours. We have stayed here at least 3 other times and my comment for each time would be pretty much the same - I feel the front desk could do better to Mach their rest of the experience.

Amazing staffs and bedroom with Seaview is breath-taking

A great hotel. Great location on the Marine Drive. The only problem was the service in the Veranda restuarant which was very bad Otherwise a n enjoyable stay.

The area is fantastic with wonderful staff Food and wine selections are excellent The hotel needs a revamp as it has huge potential and is value for money The beds , shower areas and interiors needs serious attention The staff tries very hard to maintain this place an notice that the outside is busy going thru a paint job Pool area needs attention

Avoid this place it’s nice to look at but the facilities are poor and it overcharges compared to other establishments. The room we have is spacious and sea view. It could be great but badly let down by facilities. About to try breakfast so upp to now nae idea about food

I used to always book at this hotel until my last experience. I had to cancel my booking for 2 nights 2 days in advanced even though i only made the booking the day before, but when trying to cancel i was told they can cancel the booking but will KEEP 100% of the fees which was more than R4000. I had to change my flights in order to stay here against my wishes just to not lose my money ive paid. I feel it would have been fair to refund atleast a portion of my money as it was days before check-in and most hotels in PE was fully booked that weekend so they could have easily rented out the room to someone else after i tried to cancel. Therefore i wont be staying here again.

We stayed for 1 night as we had a flight out of Johannesburg the next morning and had just come from our safari. The hotel is lovely, just a bit tired in places but clean and the staff were friendly and helpful.

I have stayed at The Beach Hotel previously with friends, and it is a good place to stay even for one night - good location and nice to have a sea view when enjoying sundowner drinks in the lounge or breakfast on the veranda/patio. Staff are helpful and accommodating.

Comfortable hotel on very nice site. Quiet rooms and good restaurant. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good place to travel through on longer tour is South African coast and Natural Parks. Beach alongside, but also swimmingpool available.

It was our 25th Anniversary, nothing special was done. This was disappointing. The room comfortable.

I stayed for 2 nights in the family rooms. I have to say I loved The Beach Hotel. Yes it could do with a refurbishment but it’s old world and I loved it. There isn’t a lift but there is a lovely staircase. We ate in the hotel both nights as the food was lovely. There is an air of just relaxation In the hotel….. the music is just playing low in the background and it’s so nice. You are next door to the Boardwalk shopping centre which was great. Overall I would stay here again

Due to a mix up at another hotel I found myself without accommodation at 7pm in P.E. I walked into the reception of the Beach Hotel and was immediately help by Xola. Her level of service and efficiency was simply outstanding – something that continued (maybe on a smaller scale) with all the staff I met during my stay. The hotel “did what it said on the tin” and although I only visit PE 3 or 4 times a year, on business, this will be my hotel of choice
