Athol Park Guest House

The hospitality of the owners were great. They went above and beyond to make my stay as comfortabke as possible.

We booked this accommodation based on Price as we were only having a quick overnight day. I would say it was good value for money. the front of house lady was pleasant and helpful and served a nice breakfast. The general layout is fairly dated but clean and had everything we needed. Decor is a mix of old English and Oriental. Can recommend the nearby pub, Station Hotel for interesting food and drink with local specialities.

Lovely hotel in a fantastic area, the room was large enough with ensuite, very clean, breakfast included and was very good, they have an on-site restaurant which we tried got me night and the food was exceptional It was a surprise wedding anniversary for our 40th. Would stay here again if ever go back to the Isle of Man

Stayed at the Athol Guest house for three night bed and breakfast, This guest house is very clean ideally located in Port Erin. The Hosts are friendly and the cooked breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice, Modern rooms with up to date bathrooms and plenty of towels. Port Erin has excellent transport links by bus or steam train which is really nice, The beach and general area is lovely.

We stayed Friday till Tuesday, we had a wonderful stay, nothing was too much trouble for the hosts. The bedroom was lovely, with ensuite, the toilet has a machinater, but doesn't disturb your sleep, the views from our window were lovely. We also had a meal in there Chinese restaurant. The food tasted sublime. If I ever go back to the Isle of Man, I would love to stay here again

We stayed here in Port Erin. We were welcomed by the friendly proprietor. Room was clean, decent size, nicely kept, attention to details. Sea view available too. Choice of Chinese and English breakfast downstairs

A superb B & B with a Chinese restaurant .Spotlessly clean throughout . Newly decorated to a high standard and retaining many of the original features. Very Tasty Full English Breakfast ( Chinese option also available ) Perfect Chinese food at the Restaurant .Hosts Allan and Jen lovely people .Stayed in Room 3 - first floor bay window . Comfy, firm ,huge bed ( 6ft wide ) Good views .Minor criticism was the small shower cubicle - Jen said that was to be replaced with a larger one . Well located for steam railway , seafront and pubs etc. Highly recommended.

Stayed at Athol Park Quest House at the end of August for the Manx GP here are some comments Good Points The owners a very nice and very helpful Our room was warm and clean and of a good size with all the usual extras –tea / coffee making station TV,etc Very good breakfast Quiet hotel = good nights sleep Bad Points None to be honest apart from the en-suit could have done with being wider , as you can see I don’t prattle on about the wall paper / carpet blah blah blah we are over on the I.O.M to see the racing not sit in our rooms , up first thing back last thing ,sleep ,eat,repeat. The hotel its self is well presented with all the communal rooms clean and warm it’s in a quiet area of Port Erin but well within walking distance of the shops ,café and public transport links . The hotel its self is a Chinese restaurant in the evening ( we did stay for a meal and it was very good ) . When we arrived we did wonder about noise from the dining room but there was none and there were bookings every night we stayed . Area If you are expecting wild nights out forget it it won’t happen it’s a resort for young families with a smart beach and the steam trains.
