Amazing snorkelling out front of resort easily accessible by ramp/ladder.. some of the best coral I've seen. Bungalows are authentic.. dated but have kitchen and laundry. Birdies Bar & Kitchen caters for your dining wants.. ask Jonathon to whip up a mystery cocktail. Hosts Caroline and Damien are hands-on and encourage guest interaction.

I recently spent a week at Magic Island Resort Vanuatu in a 2 bedroom, 2 Bathroom bungalow overlooking the water. The kitchen was well equipped, the bed very comfortable and there was plenty of hot water. There was free snorkeling, scuba diving and swimming off the jetty. There is a swimming pool and a delightful little rock pool for the children adjacent to the jetty. The restaurant served delicious meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Seafood was abundant and the bar was well stocked. The managers Damien and Caroline Bird are warm and welcoming and happy to arrange any tour you would like. The cleaning, outdoor and restaurant staff are friendly, eager to please and all do an excellent job. I cannot reccommend Island Magic Resort more highly.

What an amazing 5 days we have had at Island Magic Resort where Caroline and Damien went out of their way to make our stay even more special. With the gorgeous reef just metres from our bungalow this was a hidden gem and some of the best coral reef we have ever seen. Island Magic Resort is ideally located within close proximity to the airport and town just 15 minutes. Tanna Coffee is within walking distance and coffee roasted on site with free tours available, along with the Beach Bar which has an unbelievable fire show. This resort is perfect for rest and relaxation with Birdies Bar and Restaurant serving drinks and amazing food by the beautiful friendly staff. We will definitely be back.

We booked a bungalow with a view on the ocean. When we arrived we were given a bungalow with a view on another bungalow right in front us. When we talked to the owner he said to take our bagages and find another place ! I told him that it is not a Nice way to welcome people. He said he doesn’t care. The bungalow has nothing to do with the pictures! It is dirty 😱😱😱 And there is no wifi !!!!

We loved our evening at Island Magic resort. We didn't stay there but it looks great. The restaurant is fabulous, the food and service was great and the hostess is so welcoming. It doesn't always open to just check it is open before you drive there. There's a pool and it's a great place to swim and snorkel too.

Comfortable accommodation in a peaceful location. Bungalows are fully self contained with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, clean and comfortable, however could benefit from a dip clean. You have your own reef at the resort but there are no snorkels or masks provided, you need to supply your own. Staff very friendly and the restaurant does great food, just need to check the opening hours. Location - there’s a small shop about 1km down the road and a beach bar about 1.5km along the beach apart from that be prepared to walk or have pre-arranged transport. Locals are friendly and will offer you a lift if you’re heading in their direction.

Mixed feelings about this place. The Bungalows are excellent - spacious, well-designed, high ceilings and louvred to capture the cooling sea breezes. They are also comfortably-furnished and appointed with excellent lighting, a well-equipped kitchen and laundry area with good washing machine, some washing powder, drying rack, iron and board etc. We stayed in a two-bedroom, 2 bathroom bungalow which was perfect for our 19 year old to have her own space. The main issue with this place is it’s location about 2kms along a VERY rough, rocky and gravel road - probably the roughest we’ve ever driven on which means it feels quite isolated. There were 2 bikes that could be borrowed but we only used them the first afternoon to ride to the tiny grocery store at the start of the gravel road as we weren’t told the restaurant was closed the first night for a private function. We ended up hiring a little car because nothing was in real walking distance. The view over the bay is lovely and the coral just off the deck fantastic. The pool wasn’t very appealing. We only ate in the restaurant twice (as it was closed a number of times for either private Christmas parties or Sunday and Monday scheduled closures) The food was excellent though - very tasty, fresh and generously proportioned and quite reasonably priced for dinner. Staff lovely, especially Joe. Geraldine the manager was chatty and helpful at times. If you’re after a quiet, tranquil, relaxed, spacious retreat, I would recommend, but only if you have a car, preferably a 4WD.

Had a wonderful 5 night stay here. If you like to be out of the way of the main town & have transport - the staff here will ensure you have a fantastic time. Excellent snorkelling from the jetty off the front. The food is excellent & the island style bungalow rooms are nice and spacious & well ventilated with ceiling fans.

We had 10 days in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom Bungalow at Island Magic. We had a 6 month old and an 11 year old with us and found the bungalows to be exactly what we needed. Geraldine and her husband were excellent to deal with. They gave us a lift into town to collect our car and help with anything we needed. They even bought our son a ball to play with whilst at the Resort which was a lovely touch. The bungalows need some TLC but after the Covid shut down that was to be expected and I’m sure in time, they will be fixed up. The snorkeling was the best spot we found the whole time and the views are to die for. Coco De Mer was also yummy and handy to have on site. The road out to the resort is not great and I can imagine without a hire car this could be a difficult place to get back and forth from but it was ideal for us. I was worried they didn’t have air conditioning but with the coastal breeze and the heavy duty fans throughout the bungalows it was just right. The kitchen was pretty well equiped but could use a kettle. And I think a nice finishing touch would be one long length mirror somewhere in the bungalow. I have no idea if my shoes matched all holiday ha ha. Having a washing machine was extremely handy and we used it everyday. All in all, it was a lovely stay and we would stay again. Thank you to Geraldine and her husband for looking after us all.
