This is my second times to be here in Porto I know this hotel is new this year and everything seems very perfect for me, the environment, the service from the reception, the attitude for from all the colleges as it belongs to Marriott group I can confirm the hotel level is satisfactory to the group, but the most critical point for me is the water flow from the tap in the washing basin and also the showerhead. It’s extremely slow and nearly to 0 I had a really bad experience when I took a shower, and also when I would like to wash something from the washing basin  I feel a pity for it I hope next time the hotel can improve it otherwise, I will not take my 3rd time here

I arrived at the hotel on 20 November 2022 for a 5 night stay. The stay was business related and with so many hotels to choose from, I decided to go with the Porto Palacio. What an excellent choice! The hotel is absolutely brilliant - I cannot find a fault. Check-in was very smooth and on arrival to the room - wow - very modern, crisp clean sheets on the bed and a spacious room. In terms of food, the Breakfast experience was the best part of the stay for me. I have stayed in many hotels around the world - both on a personal basis and a business basis - I can honestly say that the breakfast staff at the Porto Palacio are the best I've ever come across. On arrival, I was seated quickly. On Day 1, the staff members memorised what I had that cannot be chosen by the buffet - for example, a tea and two plates (as I like two plates) - on Days 2 and for the rest of the trip, I didn't even need to ask. I was called by my Title and Surname on arrival. The whole experience was brilliant. I would like to mention a lady called Rosa and another lady (they both greet staff members at the door) - their hospitality skills are great and they are always smiling - nothing is too much for them. I didn't eat at the restaurant in the evening but had room service as personally, I like to relax after a day at the office. The food was of good quality and was tasty and piping hot. I used the gym during my stay - the gym is open to members of the public, therefore is not your usual hotel gym. It's huge - there are loads of machines and I was never waiting for someone to finish using something. Staff members are friendly. All in all - a brilliant stay and is a genuine 5 star hotel! I will return to the Porto Palacio both on a business basis and also on a personal basis - Porto looks like a great city! It's a shame that I didn't have time to look around as I had a busy schedule but I will certainly be back! Thank you!!

The rooms are clean and relatively spacious. Interesting enough, they give a complimentary bottle of wine to elite members which is something I have not seen before in other Marriotts. The staff are some of the friendliest I’ve seen, each taking their time to ensure you have a comfortable stay. One of the members, Miguel, if I remember his name correctly, gave us a lot of tips on what to explore in Porto. There honestly isn’t too much to elaborate on, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a stay in Porto. The only slight problem is the elevators don‘t always seem to function properly, but it’s a minimal issue as they take care of it rapidly.

I stayed at the Crowne Plaza Porto for 2 nights recently as part of a work trip. The hotel is in a good location, about 10 mins drive from the airport. There are a few small shops and bars / restaurants nearby. The rooms are nice, a great size and come with all the usual amenities that you'd expect from such a hotel. I ate in the bar on each night, the food was great and very good value for money. The service provided by the 2 bartenders was also great! I'll be back again in early summer and would recommend to anyone looking for a good hotel in Porto.

We stayed in the Wine and Books Hotel for Seven nights .The Hotel should be rated 7* .We have travelled worldwide and this is by far the best Hotel we have stayed in .The staff are very special , working as an excellent team to make us feel at home. Special thanks to Camilla and Soraia on the front desk and to the food and beverage manager and all the restaurant and housekeeping staff for excellent Service which went above and beyond what we expected...Nothing is too much trouble for this excellent team. The room was quiet and comfortable and the food and breakfast is the best we ate in Porto. We truly felt we were leaving good friends by the time we left .Thank you all for a truly great stay. Stayed 4 nights upon arriving in Porto. For a 3 star hotel the property is very clean and quiet. Check in was easy. Rooms are clean and offer a closet with a safe, a kettle and tea/coffee service, a small fridge that is stocked but still room to put a beer, wine bottle or water bottle in to chill. Several outlets but no usb ports. Bathroom has a bidet. Shower had good water pressure. It’s actually a tub/shower combination. Only thing missing was wash cloth. Didn’t get one in either of my Portugal hotels. The breakfast is outstanding, Starts at 7. Several options from eggs to pancakes, side dishes, so many fresh breads, cereal, fancy coffee machine, fresh juices. There is also a bar at the hotel but we didn’t visit it. Next door is a 3 store mall with a full service American size grocery store to buy water, snacks, wine etc. at very affordable prices. One block away is the Mercado Bom Success, an upscale food court. We ate dinner there twice. The hotel is in an area called Villa Nova so a 30 to 40 minute walk from the historical center. The metro is 10 to 15 minutes away, Casa de Musical stop, which will take you to the historical center in 15 minutes. I would stay here again if ever in Porto.

Honestly this small hotel is perfect for your stay in Porto, i cant wait to visit again in the summer when the pool is open!! i went for 2 nights last week and managed to get 16-17 degrees on both days!! although the locals still walk around in winter clothes you can easily spot the British tourists in t shirts lol Nice breakfast, plenty of options, easy journey on the metro from the airport and the other direction into the city center. More importantly the levels of friendliness from all staff was in incredible, a special shout out to Rosa, honestly extremely helpful and just a genuinely lovely lady, super nice experience all round. Only negative if i had one, was the rooms are quire close to each other, and we had a snoring elephant next door, but im just being picky there lol

Great location close to the Metro, although a bit noisy as there is construction outside and a barking next door. The rooms are tiny with minimal amenities. This is not a 4 star hotel as our package promised. Just a heads up, they charge you for extra coffee pods. Staff here is professional and very helpful-they wear many hats! They helped us book an amazing tour. Walking distance to shopping, an amazing indoor food court, and grocery stores. The breakfast room is very nice, and has good selections.

Susana, Antonio and Paula were helpfulness itself. The guest house is a beautiful conversion of a traditional old Porto house. High ceilings and polished wooden floors. A great breakfast served by Paula with home made pasteles de nata. Delicious. Just across the road is the landmark Casa da Música, a music venue and cultural centre with a great café serving top notch coffee and food. The guest house is convenient for all sights including the must visit Park and Museum Serralves which is a 10 minute bus ride away. It is also extremely easy to get to from the airport on the direct Metro line. €2.60 one way at time of writing. I will be back!!!

The treatment I received at this hostel was despicable, unreasonable and hostile. My flight was delayed for 5 hours and whilst in airport I received a very encouraging email from 'so cool' explaining reception closes at 9pm and if I haven't checked in by then I would have to wait to the morning. Having found somewhere else to stay for that night, I turned up at this hostel the next morning, the rigid lady at reception simply wasn't interested or concerned in the least of my predicament and informed me I was a ”no show” and my room was gone for the whole 3 nights I'd booked. I asked for a partial refund for the further 2 nights as I was now having to find somewhere else to stay and would have to pay top price, she was not interested to know this and told me there would be no refund and no room. Whilst I understand policies are policies I think a bit of allowance for unforeseen circumstances wouldn't go amiss. I had no control of my flight being delayed and had I not received the welcome text reminding me of reception opening hours I would have thought twice about contacting them, their communication was confusing and had mixed messages. More unforgivably is the attitude of the manager even when she knew I had nowhere to go and would need the partial refund to secure alternative accomodation, she was not losing any money and had sold my bed twice. I have used *********** for years to book hostels and I have never received such harsh heartless treatment. Whilst I get business is business, there's more to life than a computer database and rigid rules that don't allow for unforeseen circumstances. The rigid lady tried to tell me it was *********** who cancelled me but this was just a lie,. Thankfully the 'hostel Rosalina' saved my bacon and were a fantastic contrast to ”so cool's awful treatment. The receptionist was wonderful and helpful and her friendliness reassured me Porto was not full of heartless money grabbing robots. Avoid this hostel if you're not going to be there for 9pm or you have any chance of a flight delay. .

They were responsive to my emails prior to my arrival. My flight was delayed in Porto and arrived around 1 am when there was a staff waiting for me upon arrival (24 reception). I'd say the room was enough for me, essentials were provided such as shampoo, and body wash. The room is cleaned every day. The hotel is quite a walk from the old town though (20-30mins), and going back it is a really steepy hill so I'd advise to wear comfy shoes if you're walking to/from the hotel. Although there is a bus stop nearby and Ubers are relatively cheap. Breakfast wise- there is no hot food but you get your bread, fruit, yoghurt (continental breakfast). The staff were very helpful during my stay- very hospitable!! i would book again here to stay if I was in Porto.

Really loved this central hotel in Porto. So many images of music here in the reception lounge and bedrooms. Good value as well and loved the rooms. There is an amazing eating extravaganza within the complex. We went as a couple but it works for families too. Nice choice at breakfast too and you can park in their underground car park at a reasonable rate
