This place is just dirty. The carpet flooring is thin and shaggy. The bathrooms are tiny––there is no storage for any toiletries so you basically need to keep everything in your bag. There was mold in the bathroom near the shower area on the ceiling. The shower head was dirty. When I arrived, the exhaust fan in the bathroom was making a hissing noise, so I decided to take a look at it. I unscrewed the front cover, and it railed thick dust all over the bathroom. The cleanliness is really disappointing, especially when a lot of these issues could be fixed with more thorough cleaning and some preventative maintenance. Other than that, the rooms are small. The twin beds in the rooms are so close, it may as well be one bed. The cabinets and shelving are built in, and they make the room feel really cramped. Overall, the whole place is pretty bad. Nothing about it is pleasing or enjoyable, and the pool comes at an extra fee. The place earns an extra star because the location is great, and it provides a great jumping off point to see the beautiful city of Prague. I've stayed at a lot of hotels in a lot of different countries. I'd say this is the worst one I've seen. I'm sure you can find a fairly comparable place that actually cleans their rooms.

I don't know how many 4* hotels you have been to before but I have been to multiple in MANY countries. This hotel is 2* at best. Price-wise it does go to 4* but the quality of everything barely hits the minimum requirements for it to be a place to stay. Which 4* hotel doesn't have a reception after 7PM? Sonata doesn't. The interior is dated (and I am being generous here), they don't have basic things like a working fridge. Receptionist said ”We don't offer that service anymore” Well, thanks, now I have a box that has lights in when you open it. They don't have Q-tips, a basic box of paper tissues in the room, no pads to remove makeup, nothing! Just cheap toilet paper. And no bidet. My favorite part was when I found my expensive silk pajamas thrown on the floor by the housekeeper when they were making the bed. No, they didn't push it off the bed unintentionally. it was kinda far away from the bed, it had definitely been thrown. I guess they throw everything that happens to be on the bed, and then put it on the bed and fold it neatly like nothing happened. But this last time they forgot they threw it on the floor and left it there. Disgusting! Even if it wasn't expensive, I wear this to bed! How can these people be so disrespectful to your belongings is beyond words. Sonata, get your act together because this is a disgrace! Location, room size and breakfast were alright.

We booked the 'Deluxe Double with City View' and it did not disappoint. We were in Europe for 1 month, and this was the biggest accommodations we stayed. Great for spreading out our large pieces of luggage. The view was spectacular, with superb orange sunsets. Every evening I would eat my meal or have a drink looking outside. It is part of the experience! As other reviews mentioned, it's fun watching people gawk up towards the hotel. taking photos of this tourist attraction. Front desk was really very good, eagerly answering all of our questions. Again, best front desk service in our 1-month stay involving 6 different countries. I appreciated the free tickets for the view at the top. There is a grocery store right up the street (Karlovo nám. 10, 120 00 Nové Město, Czechia) if you don't want to eat out. they had great bread, cheese, sausages, and local beer. There is also a significant Prague tourist site extremely close by, which you pass on the way to the above-mentioned grocery store: National Memorial to the Heroes of the Heydrich Terror

Excellent hotel ... modern, clean, fairly central, spacious rooms (with fluffy pillows). Friendly, helpful staff. Excellent and varied range of breakfast food, either cold buffet or cooked choice. After checking out there is no charge for leaving any luggage prior to departure for airport etc. The hotel is situated directly opposite Florenc metro station, an interchange for all 3 underground lines, and has a tram stop which services several routes to city centre and beyond. Also in close proximity are a supermarket, a shopping mall and several (varied nationality) restaraunts and, of course, the ubiquitous McDonald's (for those who like such fare!). Hotel also boasts a bar, bistro and food vending machines. I highly recommend Botanique Hotel.

Well equipped new studios with everything you need. The elevator is not working yet, so check the floor if this is critical for you. Cleaning and trash removal is available for an additional fee. Construction is still ongoing throughout the day. Reasonable price.

A friend I spent 4 nights at this hotel whilst visiting another friend and seeing the sights in Prague. In terms of location, the hotel is a little out of the main centre (15 min walk approx). However it still feels very central due to how large Prague is and sprawls out. The hotel is not dated but doesn’t seem particularly modern either. It has a very simplistic feel. Staff are polite in the reception upon arrival. It has a very small lobby area with seating, vending machines and toilets hidden away. This area could get crowded easily. The rooms themselves are basic. They are clean and tidy, have decent beds, a small desk and a wardrobe. Numerous charging sockets are available which is nice and there is a TV. Unfortunately, there is no safe or mini fridge which did feel like a small hindrance. The bathroom is not spacious but is once again clean and tidy. Towels are replenished daily and small toiletries are provided. The hotel offers breakfast which was included within our booking. The breakfast is very basic. Cereals, fruit, yoghurt, ham, cheese and some boiled eggs is all it has to offer. However, the coffee and drinks machines were in good working order and the staff worked hard. Overall, this hotel offers a simple, easy and affordable stay in Prague. You get what you pay for but I was satisfied with the overall value. The additions of a safe, mini fridge and a more comprehensive breakfast would pay dividends though.

Amazing accommodation! Perfect location, close to all of Prague’s main attractions. Communication with the hotel was fantastic, very clear instructions for check-in and both check-in and check-out were smooth and flawless. Our particular apartment (1-bedroom) was spacious, quiet, well equipped, spotless and very tastefully decorated. It easily sleeps 4 people, had a separate bedroom and a large pull out sofabed in the living room. We loved the whole property, it is very unique and beautiful. We will absolutely return to this place anytime we are in Prague and will recommend it to all our friends. The only downside for some less mobile people would be that there’s no elevator. You’ll need to be able to walk up a flight of stairs which was no problem for us. We loved everything about this place!

My spouse, my friends, and I stayed 2 nights for Canada Day weekend at Mama Shelter prague. It's in a great location, short transit to old Town Prague with multiple ways of getting there. Bolt, scooters, tram, or even walking works as well. Staff was friendly, except for when we got back to our hotel room on Saturday night. The door was left open by house keeping and luckily nothing was stolen. A woman staff member at the front didn't believe what I told her, so we showed her and said something would be done about it. Upon checking out, there were no notes, and nothing was done. So definitely a lack of professionalism by the night staff. Breakfast was excellent with alot of choices. It's a buffet and is open from 7am to 1030am most days. Food was fresh and 0 issues. The room was clean and spacious. King size bed was comfortable, the air conditioning was okay, but could've been better. 2 TVs and 2 bathrooms. So it was a comfortable stay for us. Overall, definitely worth the money you pay to have everything included. I still believe the hotel parking should be included into the price like in North America.

Hotel is very nice, however there are a few points worth to mention: * Concierge. Overall great experience, however one of the concierge team members (lady) had a Ukrainian flag on her name tag, which supposedly should mean that she should speak Ukrainian, when we started to speak Ukrainian, she was replying in russian! We do not want to be communicated in russian language, we did not pay to stay at the hotel to hear Russian when we did not ask for it! Very upsetting that you hire people without a knowledge and just put random flags instead of them speaking the language. *** Please explain to the staff that it is important to reply in the language in which customer is communicating or at least in English. Thank you 🙏🏻 * Service during the breakfast and housekeeping. All the kitchen, service and housekeeping teams were super friendly, very nice 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Special thanks to Roxolana & Halyna Pashinska for their incredible personal touch. * Hotel Room The room was clean, however had this horrible smell from the bathroom canalization. Each time we had to open the windows to be able to stay in the room. We were a bit busy and didn’t have time to deal with the room changes, however please do something about it. It is very very bad. * Food. Food is great, however we stayed since July 23d until August 6th and we could not eat the breakfast anymore, it is not changing at all 😅. If we knew we would book the rooms without breakfast and eat elsewhere. Water. There was no water in the room, which is a bit different from other hotels we stayed at. I hope this comments will help you to improve the experience of your guests.
