The location is excellent. If you fancy a stroll, Preston Market is just a 15-minute walk away, where you can grab a coffee and buy fresh produce. Northland Shopping Centre, with its cinema and brand-name stores, is only a 30-minute walk. It's also very convenient to get around by bus. The room has a great view, and it's clean and minimalist, perfect for business travelers (I stayed for 10 days for work this time). The 24-hour front desk is very convenient, and there's also a communal kitchen and gym. Just remember that a deposit is required for check-in and for borrowing a hairdryer, but it will be returned upon check-out if everything is in order.

Not bad given the price. High CP value, it’s a 10-15 mins walk from bell station, and not close to city center. Suitable for student or solo travellers who budget travel. And not a very sociable/ hostel hostel!

It was my first time in Melbourne and it was a pleasure. The room is small but offers good value for money.

Nice room, good amenities. Pretty clean but some signs of age/wear. Pool and communal areas are very nice.

It's about a 10-minute walk from the station, and nearly an hour from Melbourne city center. The room was clean, but check-in and check-out took a very long time.

Parking costs AUD 20 per night, but I wasn't told that I'd have to pay extra if I left and returned, which made me feel ripped off. I needed an HDMI cable for work to connect to the TV in my room, and it took a lot of negotiating with the front desk to get one. There was a lot of unnecessary hassle, and I wish borrowing basic amenities like this could be more streamlined. I stayed during the Christmas holiday, and it seems breakfast wasn't included, so I had to go out to eat. The bathroom in my room type only had a curtain, not a proper door. The windows looked quite dirty with a lot of dust outside. The pool had many leaves floating on the surface, and no one seemed to be cleaning it, so I didn't use it. I guess all these issues were probably due to a lack of staff during the holiday period.

I was scheduled to stay for two nights, but we only got one bath towel per person, and the pillow had a damp smell that they wouldn't change. Also, the toilet door wouldn't close completely, which was inconvenient.

Close to Novotel hotel where I was attending the Scrabble tournament. Hated that I had to give a $250 deposit. I did not have enough cash on me so I had to pay deposit with my debit card. Money was taken out of my debit card immediately on 6/6/26 check-in day. But although I checked out the next day ie 7/6/26 and Reception staff who took time to check my room, processed the refund through my card, that same 7/6/26 day itself, it took until 11/6/26 for the $250 refund to appear in my bank account. Not happy.

Central to public transport, easy access to rooms, very clean rooms, friendly staff

A terrible experience. The location is very remote, it takes about 40 minutes by bus to get to the city center. The soundproofing at night is awful, I could even hear the sound of someone playing on their phone next door.

Room looks good, nice view. While booking i thought like the room is bigger, but it’s not as bigger I thought. No Amenities.

Everything was great, good value for money. Location is okay for visiting Melbourne. Breakfast selection was a bit limited.

Pool had lots of leefes in it staff rude

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was clean, compact, and well-equipped. The staff were friendly and always willing to help. The location was convenient, with the train station within walking distance. The price was reasonable, making it a great option for both short and long stays.
