This hotel is near a large shopping mall so there are many nearby restaurants to choose from. The rooms themselves are very comfortable. My one complaint is with the breakfast. If I went at the opening time, it was not yet set up for guests. I had to wait until someone brought out the tea, juice glasses, food labels, etc. There also needs to be a better system to request an omelet or fried eggs.

I got a great deal for the hotel booking with Trip.com. All was great. The restaurant was a very nice place, but the food was hit or miss.

We arrived in March, as a result of our airline cancelling an aircraft for 2 days. We were given a large room to accommodate my handicapped scooter, which did not even fit in the the first room we tried. As for the food, I can only comment on the buffets, which is what we were given, overall it was quite good. The bar was very nice, with a friendly and helpful bartender, and it has the largest LCD TV I have ever seen, which would become very useful when the final game for the NCAA basketball championship came on (we love March Madness). Overall, this is a handsome hotel, with a large and airy lobby, but we could tell it was a bit older, with a few things needing repair, refurbishing or outright replacement, The concierge was very helpful, but I had to speak Spanish to get what I wanted, because he did not speak English. We didn't try the pool, but it looked great, and there were cabanas to hang out in.

Our stay at the AC Marriott Hotel was absolutely wonderful! From the Front Door Staff to the Concierge to the Front Desk to the Restaurant hostess and staff to the Luna Bar staff, especially the bartenders, to the Lobby Bar and the Hospitality Manager... all were delightful interactions. I am a Marriott Titanium and Hilton Diamond member so I clearly travel more than I really should and I have rarely given a positive review like this one. The hotel location is great, the Luna Bar offers tremendous views of the Sunset, Santiago and the Andes. The craft cocktails are amazing and so are their Pisco Sours especially if you upgrade the Pisco. Our breakfast and brunch experiences were also excellent. We got upgraded to a corner suite which came with a nice bottle of Chilean Cab! The rooms are modern and well appointed. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The warmest of welcome from a great team at Ugo Hotel. The hotel is well placed in a nice area. It was modern, very light, airy and clean. Our room (334) was on the third floor facing towards what looked like residential apartments. Our only wish was that our view hadn’t been slightly obscured by a wall to another part of the hotel. The reception / lobby / bar was a good place to sit. The main light hanging above made a statement. The room itself whilst not the biggest had everything we needed for a comfortable stay (3 night) during our tour. There were two big, very comfortable beds. This combined with the pillows supplied led to 3 good nights sleep. The second bed was great for laying clothes out and packing ‘ unpacking. The WC / Shower were in the ensuite with the washbasin just outside in an area divided from the bed space by a divider and hanging space. The shower was very good although some might find the floor slippy. There wasn’t a plug in the sink (by design). This was the moment we remembered the travel plug had been left at home. This was an inconvenience when shaving and meant that more water was used than might have been had there been one. We pointed this out as a water saving idea at reception who welcomed the positive feedback. There was good air-conditioning but like most you need to leave one of the key cards in if you want it to continue working when you go out. That said from an energy saving point of view it didn’t take long to cool the room down once we returned. We did turn the AC down at night as like most installations the noise can be a bit of a pain when trying to sleep. There was a good choice of food for breakfast and a nice looking bar with a fantastic team. Not everyone spoke English but we didn’t speak any Spanish but we got by just fine. We had some great Chilean wine and loved the Pisco Sour. Thanks to Laos Silizar for giving me his recipe. There is an enclosed garden area at the back close to the bar with a variety of seating among greenery and to one end a pool. The lifts were quick and we never had to wait more than a few seconds for one. There were two ice cream shops within seconds of the main entrance and a number of nice restaurants. The tallest building in Latin America Sky Costanera was only about a 10 minute walk away. By virtue of its height it has the highest viewing platform in Santiago, from where the 360 degree panoramic view from the 61st and 62nd floors including The Andes is exceptional. Beneath this is a very big shopping centre containing many restaurants of all sorts. We went our for a walk each evening in the direction of the adjoining residential. There were some nice apartment blocks / homes. The area was well lit and felt safe. To summarise we enjoyed staying at Ugo Hotel very much. All of the staff were fantastic. Clean hostel with big comfy rooms and spacious bathrooms. Kitchen is good for cooking. Music can be loud in the rooms. Staff are really friendly, laundry service for 9,000 wash dry and ironed, and just 10 mins from big Unimart supermarkett.

First vegan review. My wife and I are vegan and we were not expecting much. First day they had little cartons of almond milk but after that day they did not have any anymore. They have different fruits, strawberry, cantaloupe, no bananas, that's odd. and some not fresh fruit like pineapple in syrup. They also have coffee and tea. Oats that you can make with hot water from the nestle coffee maker hot water. Cereal like corn flakes and dry bread. Pool closed ”under maintenance” Bad things: Room key kept failing. Had to get it reprogrammed multiple times. Toilet does not flush well, had to do it multiple times. Soap bars are tiny and not very soapy. Might be the water but not sure. No free coffee in the room, just a hot water electric kettle Pros: Clean room. Good service. Across the street from a Starbucks, grocery store. Walking distance from bars/restaurants. Overall, a good option for a budget hotel.

The place is amazing to look at, modern arty styles, lighting, graphics, attention to detail. Complimentary bottles of water in the fridge. fully functional kitchen, iron, hairdryer, big TV, toiletries, table and chairs in the studio standard room. My room had a Balcony but onlly with a view of the office building opposite, and partially of the street to the left. Nice rooftop pool, cold water but nice and refreshing in summer, and the view is INCREDIBLE! Views of the Andes mountains and city buildings. Area is close to everything, walkable to most places including some hiking trails, and only 4-5 euros/dollars Uber to the city centre. Staff were young, friendly, helpful and spoke good English. They gave me a map with information on where to go. Buffet beakfast was really nice with fresh juices, fresh fruit and a selection of other foods. Breakfast was in the adjoining Portuguese restaurant which has some great food and not too expensive either. The lifts and toilets were beautifully scented, and smelt great! The hotel price is very affordable and very reasonable for what you get, the location, the pool etc. The catering staff in the restaurant were all very professional and helpful. Disliked · You need a credit card to hold the room and as a deposit and my debit cards and even a credit card were all declined which left me panicking when I got an email saying that the reservation would be cancelled. I emailed lots of times but got no reply until the last minute where I was told that they would hold the room for me. I drew out cash on arrival to use as a deposit and had it returned when I checked out. Unfortunately, there are no recycling facilities at the hotel, but when I asked at reception they offered to take my recycling for me. The AC machines are quite noisy so I ended up not using it, but only the fan. There is no balcony furniture at all and you're not allowed to take any to use from inside. The scrambled egg was a little undercooked for me but when I asked, they'd always cook it a bit more for me. If you need assistance from the rooftop pool area on level 12, there's no telephone to contact reception. Despite all this I'd still highly recommend this hotel 100%!
