Masseria San Domenico Oria Boutique B&B

In summary - Boutique hotel this is NOT. Its run down, unloved and quite frankly looks like its been taken over by a holiday club. AVOID at all costs. On arriving at the metal, unwelcoming gates, I already regretted my decision to stay here. And it just got worse. The room we paid for - the San Domenico Suite - had broken aircon, and we were offered an upgrade (despite this room being the most expensive on offer by *******). We moved room to a room with a "jacuzzi". (No help with our luggage, I might add). But no jacuzzi and wasn't even a shower in this room, and on closer inspection - there were many shortcomings. Including mould on the wall, cobwebs and there was no water! None. From the bath nor the taps. We were later informed there was an issue, and they were working on it. But there was no offer of bottled water or anything. Next - was the fact that despite all the descriptions of the hotel etc - there is NO restaurant. The beautiful looking pizza oven hasn't been used in ages (there seemed to be a wasp nest in there). There were no staff overnight, and the outside areas were overgrown, ****s along the wall of the hotel, and just generally shabby. Breakfast was abysmal, all from a packet (and certainly not fresh farm produce), and the hotel seems to have been taken over by a holiday club, which had stickers and promotional material everywhere, destroying any boutique vibe. The hotel staff are fairly friendly, with most conversation happening with google translate. I asked for a refund through ******* (only half mind you, since it was 150 GBP a night). Its worth maybe HALF of this, which was my request, and this was declined by the hotel. This was meant to be an anniversary to remember for the wife and I, which was marred by this hotel and the horrible taste its left in our mouths for an otherwise fantastic trip to Italy. AVOID - please in the name of all things - dont get suckered in by the nice looking photos. Its overpriced and not a great place to stay.

Deze b&b is heerlijk rustig gelegen tussen de olijfbomen in een prachtige, landelijke omgeving. Je kan een verfrissende duik in het zwembad nemen of je kan relaxen in de moderne, ruime kamer met minibar en airco. Opvallend zijn de hoge plafonds met gewelven. De ontvangst is hartelijk en familiaal. Het domein heeft een eigen, gratis parkeerplaats die door een poort is afgesloten. De overnachting is inclusief een lokaal ontbijt in buffetvorm. Met de auto ben je zo in het mooie stadje Oria. De prachtige stranden zijn goed toegankelijk met je huurauto en het is zeker de moeite waard om de omgeving te ontdekken. De ligging is in het midden van de laars en daardoor centraal gelegen om de mooie plaatsen te ontdekken. This b&b is wonderfully quiet, situated among olive trees in a beautiful rural setting. You can take a refreshing dip in the pool or relax in the modern, spacious room with minibar and air conditioning. The high vaulted ceilings are striking. The welcome is warm and family-like. The property has its own free car park which is closed off by a gate. The overnight stay includes a local buffet breakfast. The beautiful town of Oria is easy to reach by car. The beautiful beaches are easily accessible with your hire car and it is definitely worth exploring the area.

Weekend di completo relax per tutta la famiglia cane compreso. Bellissima struttura camere spaziose e pulite. Il ristorante vanta piatti ottimi. Personale disponibile e gentile. Un'esperienza da ripetere soprattutto per chi come noi ha un animale domestico e quindi è potuto venire insieme a noi e godersi la.vacanza con la.famiglia.

Un ottimo posto rilassante immerso nella natura,ristorante in terrazza ottimo davvero molto bello Personale molto accogliente e a disposizione mi sono trovato bene e puoi anche portare il tuo amico a 4 zampe Colazione su in terrazza rilassante e cornetti super buoni

Rimasta sorpresa delle camere, molto spaziose. Moderne e minimal, molto rilassanti. Buona la pulizia. In struttura nell'ampio giardino/pineta è situata una antica chiesetta dedicata a San Domenico che si può visitare dall'esterno. Ottimo il giardino immerso nelle campagne e gli ulivi di Oria che ha un ottimo potenziale se presa qualche accortezza in più. Buona la colazione. Ottimo posto dove rilassarsi nel silenzio della natura perché dotato di sole 10 camere dove effettivamente non troverai mai confusione.

Ho soggiornato in masseria per una settimana. Proprietario presente in struttura a curare ogni minimo particolare e staff super gentile e disponibile che ha immediatamente risolto un mio problema. Cucina ottima (tipica pugliese) e la masseria è in un punto geograficamente eccellente per chi vuole muoversi durante il giorno e visitare la regione. La gestione è cambiata e si vede la passione e la cura che ci mette il nuovo proprietario nonostante le inevitabili difficoltà che, presumo, possano esserci per chi subentra in una struttura così grande e bella. Vi è addirittura la presenza di una grotta con una chiesetta sconsacrata che dovrebbe essere valutata patrimonio culturale, è fantastica. CONSIGLIATISSIMO!
