Hotel berhampiran La Ranilla Espacio Artesano, Puerto de la Cruz

Very decent hotel, deserves 5 stars considering the price-quality ratio. The hotel is clean and modern, with two large pools on the roof, plenty of sunbeds, a bar, shower, and toilet. Unfortunately, the rooftop is only open until 6 PM. The rooms are pleasant, featuring glass-walled bathrooms, balconies with chairs and a table. The downside was the single beds (they tend to separate), but the room is cleaned daily, and towels are regularly changed. Excellent base for exploring, 4 minutes to the bus terminal (buses are not heard), and a few minutes to the beach. Shops, cafes, and restaurants are nearby. On the downside, there is an absolute lack of parking spaces (as on the whole of Tenerife, though). Breakfasts are decent but monotonous, although you can organize them in such a way that during a 5-7 day stay, you can eat something different every day. Overall, I highly recommend it. If I return to Puerto, I will definitely aim for this hotel again.

Los apartamentos son viejitos pero están bien. El personal de recepción es muy amable. La ubicación es muy buena, tienes la playa y la estación de los autobuses a 2 minutos andando. Tiene una pequeña cocina equipada con lo básico (aún que para mi le hace falta microondas).

We are currently here in this hotel it is fabulous. The location is brilliant food is good and the staff brilliant. I took unwell last night in the restaurant and the staff were brilliant and dealt with me with distraction especially thanks to Dina who really went over and above and that hug when I came round means the absolute world to me

Appartement une chambre très confortable, avec balcon et table, table à l'intérieur, tout confort cuisine. Ménage fait presque tous les jours. Très propre, personnel très gentil, y compris à l'accueil. Nous étions à côté du restaurant au rez-de-chaussée, donc un peu de bruit le soir, mais à côté pour profiter des animations. La résidence est bien placée pour se déplacer à pied en ville, voiture garée à l'extérieur à 5 minutes maximum dans les rues adjacentes. le personnel explique d'ailleurs comment s'y rendre... Très satisfaites de notre séjour.

My room was massive, really huge. Hotel is clean but dated. In a very quiet area but noise from the restaurant after it closed went on for a long time and then started super early in the morning. Do not recommend rooms directly above it. As a single traveller I could cope but probably no good for families. Shower frequently came through super hot so again not recommended for young children. Gardens are lovely, really beautiful with plants labelled. Pool area is clean and very pleasant. The staff I encountered were absolutely lovely. Really really friendly and helpful. The free bus to town and back was super reliable No rowdy groups. Breakfast had a massive selection and nothing ran out! I came for a bargain price. No air con so in the Summer it would be too hot for me. I'd probably choose the South next time, local beach was closed due to sewage but the coastline is spectacular. Some wobbly electrical fittings and a pretty ropey patio door... it will suit some but not all I had a week for £600 and felt this was okay for couples and singles. It's not luxurious but then it's not £1200....

Food – we were half board and the food was always of good quality and variety. There was catering enough for people with more adventurous tastebuds as well as more beige ones too. The restaurant was lovely itself as was the rest of the hotel, very well maintained and always being cleaned by the staff. At breakfast you can sit on the terrace looking out over the Atlantic which is an incredible way to start the day! We did have an instance of one particularly grumpy waiter though this was an exception not a rule. Room – the room was very big and we had ample space for everything and was very homely. The bed was very big (not overly comfy though it did the job – 7/10), and the sofa/living space was very comfortable. The private balcony was a great feature, and we often left the sliding doors open overnight to let air in and to hear the sound of the Atlantic as white noise. The bathroom was plenty big enough, and the colourful shower was a nice touch! The wardrobe was also more than big enough which was a nice surprise! Cleanliness – everywhere around the hotel was immaculately presented, I believe the hotel was renovated a few years ago but everything just appears to be really well kept and maintained as we always saw staff cleaning and maintaining throughout the day. Genuinely one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in and contributed to a wonderful holiday, especially as we did spend a large amount of time in and around the hotel. The area surrounding the hotel was nice too, one of the nearby hotels was a bit louder with music etc in their pool area, though wasn’t really noticeable from the hotel/our room. Vibe – the overall aesthetic of the hotel was a very pleasant and vibrant atmosphere to be in, in the pool area and on the rooftop bar there was always music and lots of comfortable seating with umbrellas to get out of the sun if you want to. A really nice hotel which we would absolutely love to come back to and would definitely look to stay in a Macaronesian Hotel elsewhere in the Canaries if they are all of this standard!

Muy buen alojamiento. Situado en la parte alta de la ciudad, fácil aparcar y a unos 15 minutos andando de la zona de costa. Muy limpio. Muy amables. Desayuno buffet excelente y muy variado. Repetiré.

Returned on 16/11/24. I'd read about the bedbugs, so was a bit worried. The first thing I did was check the mattress and bedding. It was all clean and the mattress appeared very new. There was an ant powder like substance all around the edges of the room, and in nooks and crannies; I presume this is the insecticide others have mentioned. However, there was no signs of them in my room (#135), and the cleaners were in every day. The food was pretty good(we specially the potatoes). Some things were a bit cold, as previously mentioned. Entertainment wise, there was a good Spanish singer, but the in-house 'games' were like something from Phoenix Nights, or the 'Monkey Tennis' episode of Alan Partridge. One was 'guess how many pages in a book' and the other was rotating ten cups from front to back, with the staff going from table to table, rather than doing it on stage with a more competitive/team based element. This in itself, I found very entertaining, but in an ironic way. You can use the facilities at all three sites, and there always seemed to be plenty of sun loungers, with no crack of dawn saving them with towels. You need to pay a 1 euro deposit on your plastic beaker for drinks, which is a nice way of getting people to clean up after themselves and probably decent tips for the staff, if you don't. For some reason though, on one day, both outdoor bars were closed, with no explanation. Overall, it was good value for money, and I'd go again.

Had the most amzin holiday in this hotel spotlessly clean , the staff was so lovely and couldn’t do enough for you reception bar staff cleaners all amzing , food was good for all-inclusive and can’t do enough for you . Keeep doin what ya doin because you doing amzin. Entertainment every nite x
