Great location. Good food and drinks. Kid friendly. Red flag tides. Lots of old people and small ideas. Eggs on horseback were not served on real horse meat, which was mildly disappointing. Loses 1 star because of strict staff adherence to dumb rules. If you load up a buffet plate to-go, make sure to walk out the back patio door instead of the front restaurant entrance, or the host will stop you from leaving with food. Watch out for meth dolphins

I didn’t like that when we arrived instead of explaining everything about the hotel they tried to sell their residency club membership (timeshare) and after you tell them you’re not interested they get upset and don't explain anything g to you. The place is amazing walking distance to downtown, the food is good, STAFT IS SO POLITE and nice. If you’re looking for a party hotel this is not it. It’s more like a retirement home. But overall I enjoyed it, had a relaxed time, and felt safe.

Our stay was brought with amazing bartenders and in a great area. The place was clean and very well monitored for safety. The joy in our stay was halted by things going missing in our room. My fiancés shirt that had been folded in his suitcase without a doubt went missing. It was worth 500$ and rare. Then we noticed one pair of AirPods missing that I had in my suitcase:( other then our sad repacking searching every inch of the room we did enjoy the stay, but don’t imagine it being worth the return.

While the property we stayed at was very clean and beautiful, as soon as you go out onto the street it’s very unclean. The surrounding properties were very run down and the local shops didn’t seem to be as visitor friendly.

The staff are unmatched in their dedication to making sure your vacation is relaxing and you have access to anything you need. This was our second stay and the upgrades done are excellent. We recognized many of the same friendly staff.
Food is ok for all inclusive - venture out for local goodness - Pepe's Taco's is the perfect place to start - only a block away.
Be sure to generously tip the staff, they deserve every bit of your appreciation, as they are the true magic of the a great vacation!

This has been our resort of choice for 9 years, but no longer. We paid more than other resorts to stay at this particular one. We had to change rooms within the first hour of checking in… first room ac was not working and the safe was broke.. denied an ocean view due to booking with ******* (is that an ******* issue or the hotels, we still paid more than other resorts) long line ups for buffet dinners. The selection has declined greatly. This resort used to have a theme every night with different food items now the buffet has chicken one night, bbq pork another but basically the same food choices otherwise. We paid extra to go to the sky bar as the vip service in the past was excellent, this time the service was greatly declined and we were disappointed. We requested a late check out but was told that we had to pay per hour to use facilities and a late room check out was not allowed. Due to the fact we booked through ******* there was nothing the resort would do to assist us on staying on the resort passed noon check out. We were welcome to hang out in the lobby only. We have for the last 9 years bragged about and booked at Buenaventura Grande but it will no longer be a first choice but a last choice. 😞

Everyone was very kind and respectful. Even to those customers who were rude. Room was very clean and done everyday. The food was ok for buffet style. However there was one cook who made your eggs to order. Not much alcohol in the drinks but I think that probably was a good idea. All in all it was enjoyable- walking distance to all the attractions. Wear good shoes the roads are uneven and dangerous. Watched several people fall.
