Update: Nearly two weeks have passed since we left Zilara, and we’re still reminiscing about what a wonderful trip it turned out to be. Although it took us a bit of time to fully settle in and appreciate all that was offered, we found ourselves completely captivated by the experience—and if given the chance, we would gladly return. What truly changed our perspective was the exceptional attentiveness of the staff. Their commitment to going above and beyond, the relaxing spa, and the chance to fully immerse ourselves in everything Zilara has to offer all contributed to making our stay unforgettable. A special thank you to the management team, particularly Flora and Jenny, who turned our trip around by quickly and thoughtfully addressing our concerns. Their kindness and proactive approach genuinely enhanced our experience, leaving us with wonderful memories. Special shout out to Bryan, our favorite entertainment staff member. We also truly enjoyed the One Eyed Cat's bartenders and the pianist was THE BEST EVER. We’d love to return with our family and hope to visit the Ziva side next time. Updated notes for concerns: Seafood Fest: We had a special seafood dinner that was delicious! Beach Rinse Stations: These remained clogged, but I did see workers using buckets to try and empty the water. Cheap Soap Dispensers: This will take time to purchase new ones. Room Cleanliness: House keeping sprayed some sort of deodorizer that helped the mildew smell some. I strongly suggest cleaning the shower with bleach and investing in aroma therapy in the rooms. Our rug was never vaccumed or swept. Pillows: We were given extra pillows. I ended up sleeping with four of them. Club-level access: This still seemed unnecessary to use, but if we had the club-level with the butler service that may have changed things. Those club-level members seemed really happy with that added level of attention and beach front rooms. I also suggest putting a pool table in the club-level bar so the Zilara side does not have to fight the kids at Moments Bar EVERY night to play pool. Seaweed: We are beach people and spend almost all of our time on the beach. For those who love pools (these are awesome) and spend most of their time there, this will not matter to you. For those who are bothered by seaweed, we have been told to avoid certain months (September- November) as they yield more seaweed than others. It did seem to dissipate as the week went on. There are barriers in the ocean to try and catch most of it. SN - The Cabanas are very nice if you want to spend a day at the pool. I would suggest the cabanas at the main pool however, as you can not see the ocean at all from the club level pool; again, we LOVE the beach. My husband and I arrived at the resort on 9/28/24 even though we checked in, in advance online, we still had to check in at the main lobby and the check-in process was slow we waited about 30 minutes and there weren't many people there. Upon completion of check-in we were transported to our room 2105 in a golf cart. Upon arrival the room was very dated, looked nothing like the pictures online, the ceiling of the shower had an opening and there was a dirty shower curtain, the bathroom disgusting and there was a large gap under the door so bugs could easily make there way into your room. I decided not to stay in that room so we went to the front desk to complain. Once at the front desk we were told to get an upgraded room we had to purchase the privileged room which was $70 more per night. Not happy about that but we upgraded. The room was better but smelled of cigarettes and the bathroom smelled of sewage. The bathroom only had one washcloth and two towels, and as privileged guest we were suppose to be given beach towels as a ”perk” of the privileged. On Sunday morning around 8am, I called the front desk asking for more bath towels, beach towels and washcloths. We headed out and came back around 6pm, our room was cleaned and provided no towels at all. So, I had to call again and request towels and washcloths. After waiting about an hour we got our towels and still no washcloths, also the room was missing a hair dryer room 816. Then the power went out around 7pm, seemed like our unit which was on the 3rd floor was affected as other guest were experiencing the same issue of no power on the 3rd floor. We went to the front desk to complain about the no power as the room was getting hot quickly as it was over 90 degrees each day we were there. The front desk stated they were aware and working on the issue. We decided to go eat and see the Michael Jackson show while we waited for the power to be restored. The Michael Jackson show was good, the person playing Michael Jackson is actually a very good entertainer he has all of MJ's moves down packed to coordinate with every music video. We got back to our room around 10pm and still no power, I was so upset so we called the front desk and after speaking with them they changed our room, so at 10:00pm instead of relaxing and going to bed we had to pack up and move out of the room. Then we were sent to room 802 which was clean but still no washcloths. Monday morning we saw the housekeeping and my husband asked for a washcloth and she was the only person to actually finally bring us washcloths she got a nice tip for that. **Food** Food is trash, thank goodness my husband and I rented a car the only good meals we had were from the restaurants we went to in Punta Cana. The breakfast not good, not a good selection of foods and the dinner the same. No salad dressings at all, bacon under cooked, grilled chicken no seasoning and the desserts not good at all. Stayed at Zoetry and we were very satisfied. Very well maintained resorts with professional and friendly staff. The food was very good , tasty, the variety and freshness : very good. It’s definitely a resort to relax and unwind without the noise and buzz of the more commun resorts ( party/family). Indigo restaurant near the beach is great. Only small comment : music could be more local style instead of American rap style…Local music would be great especially since Dominican have such a vibrant culture. Thanks to : Fernando , Oliver, Rossy, Natali, Felipe,Marlene, Solange, Noël at the front desk and other I probably forgot. Also JJ was excellent. Many thanks for a great and peaceful stay.

Hospitality was a perfect 10! Upon arrival we were greeted by smiling staff serving champagne, yummy snacks, cold wash cloth for face and help with luggage. We met our butler Marcos (who was the sweetest, coolest guy you will ever meet!) Marcos took us on a tour of the resort, set up reservation for dinner and spa service, then took us to our room. My husband and I were there for our honeymoon so we had a cute banner on our door, bottle of dominican rum in our room, snacks, fully stocked mini fridge. Marcos even surprised us one night with rose petals on the bed, a warm bubble bath drawn, and Champaign for my husband and I. It was very romantic! The resort itself was just breathtaking. Restaurants were clean and food was delicious. I also can not say enough about the staff and their smiles and everyone there was so very friendly! If you are looking for a place were you can truly relax and enjoy every minute, I would book your trip here now!!
