Love Westin Qingdao! Will definitely stay here when we return. Everything was perfect. Breakfast was great with decent spread. Club access with happy hour in the evening. Afternoon hour could improve wuth better spread but good noentheless. Next to May 4th Square and nice big shopping mall

This was my first time staying at a Westin. Despite online comments suggesting subpar service, I found it wasn't nearly as bad as portrayed. When the room's curtain got a bit stuck, the front desk immediately sent someone to fix it. Also, when I requested a sea view upon booking, they promptly confirmed and arranged the room details over the phone. They even assisted with my large luggage, bringing it into the hotel. The lounge and breakfast were definitely the highlights. The variety was extensive and catered well to different preferences. My only minor suggestion would be to expand the dessert options in the lounge. I would definitely consider staying here again. Oh, and the complimentary teddy bear was adorable!

My family and I came to escape the summer heat, and we decided on Qingdao. We traveled by high-speed rail, and the Westin Hotel was conveniently located. The deluxe suite we booked was very spacious, the breakfast was excellent and varied, and the front desk staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. My whole family was very satisfied. In the evening, we went to May Fourth Square to enjoy the sea views. The Olympic Sailing Center was also very close by. The next day, we visited Xiaoyushan Park in the old town to admire the distinctive red-tiled roofs and green walls, and enjoyed a beautiful sunset. We also stopped by the trendy University Road for some photos. Everything was very conveniently located, making for a wonderful vacation.

My family and I visited Qingdao and chose to stay at The Westin. Its location is fantastic; the May Fourth Square Metro Station is right downstairs, making it super convenient to get around. A short walk to the right from the hotel entrance will bring you to Haibianwang, Torch Wharf, and the Olympic Sailing Center. You can even take a cruise from there to enjoy the night views. The breakfast spread was quite generous, featuring a good mix of both Chinese and Western options. Although the room felt a little on the smaller side, our overall stay was very pleasant, and the service was excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends.

As an established five-star hotel in Qingdao, I used to frequent the Shangri-La across the street. However, during a stay there last month, I inadvertently left some belongings in my room. Upon realizing after check-out, I immediately called the hotel, only to be told they couldn't find them. This is completely unacceptable for a five-star establishment! I seriously question the security standards of that hotel. This time, I decisively opted for The Westin. The butler contacted me in advance to confirm my check-in time and preferences, offering patient and comprehensive service. Upon check-in, I was allocated a high-floor room with a partial sea view and a partial city view. The room was very spacious. Although the hotel has some age, the facilities are impeccably maintained. Highly recommended!

Subject: Request for Room Change Delay – Service Improvement and Compensation Request Dear Westin Qingdao Team, I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the room change request process I experienced today. I initially requested a room change for a better view, and despite waiting for over an hour, I did not receive any proper response or resolution. When I first arrived at my room, I found that one side of the view was almost entirely blocked by the neighboring building, which was not what I expected. I called the front desk to request a room change, but after 20 minutes with no response, I called again. I was told the team was checking on it. After waiting another 10 minutes without any follow-up, I called once more. The staff seemed to have difficulty communicating in English and repeated that they were still checking. Eventually, I was told that a room on the 16th floor might be available, and someone would come to show it to me. However, no one came. I waited again, then called once more about 10 minutes later, only to be told that the front desk was still confirming and that the new room would not be ready for another 30 minutes. At this point, I had already wasted nearly an hour of my time in Qingdao without any clarity on whether I could even change rooms. As a guest who chose your esteemed hotel for its reputation for excellent service, this experience has been highly disappointing. The lack of communication and inefficient handling of a simple request does not meet the standard expected from the Westin brand. I kindly request a formal explanation of this situation and an appropriate form of compensation for the inconvenience I experienced. Throughout my stay, they consistently went above and beyond to assist with every request I had, always responding with patience, professionalism, and genuine warmth. As a foreign guest, it can sometimes be challenging to navigate certain details, but they made everything effortless and comfortable for me. Their attentive service and thoughtful support truly elevated my overall experience. Thanks to them, I felt welcomed, valued, and well taken care of. I would be delighted to return in the future and highly recommend this hotel to others.

Location : very good , near train station Hotel is big , room is also big , roomy and clean . It has a decent size gym room for workout ; equipment serviceable . No self service laundry though ; but has paid laundry service by hotel ; thus , do take note of you require laundry . Room smells good , at least no smoke smell unlike some other hotels we had stayed; choking to death even if it was non smoking room. Recommended

Near mrt so very convenient for travelling!! Room is nice and comfortable, staff are very friendly.

Hotel location is excellent for tourist, very close to 4th May Square, Metro station is just 1 min walk from hotel entrance, very convenient to go around to all sightseeing spots. Room is clean & spacious, breakfast is really good with variety choices. I highly recommend Westin Hotel.

the location is best. you get to the hotel right at subway exit, across Shangri-la hotel and you can walk to Qingdao landmark in just 10 mins. the room was huge and nice and clean. the bathroom was separated into bathtub, shower room and toilet. it's a shame that we could only stay for a night and missed breakfast.
