This is a very well-appointed and comfortable hotel located within the old town walls of Shanhaiguan, 50 yards or so from the east gate. It is built and decorated in the traditional style of the area. Large, comfortable beds, the a/c unit warms the room. A filling and varied breakfast is delivered to the room in the morning. The staff are cheerful and pleasant. The hotel boasts a restaurant in a separate building which serves a wide selection of delicious food. Private dining rooms are available. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and would be very happy to return.

Excellent hotel, I would highly recommend anybody visiting Shanhaiguan to stay here.
The building is beautiful and includes a mini museum exhibition of calligraphy and lovely gardens. The room was clean, comfortable and provided 6 bottles of complementary water.
The staff were friendly and helpful, even letting me check out at 2pm since I had a 3pm train to Dalian.
Location wise the hotel is situated right next to the first gate under Heaven tourist area. You can get a good view of the gate even from the hotel courtyard, also walkable to restaurants and the drum tower just a couple hundred meters away.
Lastly it’s just a short taxi ride from the rail station (1.6km/5min/8rmb) and laolongtou Great Wall section (7km/15min/15rmb).

春節旅行返程途中住了一晚。優點是酒店距離山海關景區很近，步行可達，酒店大部分工作人員服務態度還是比較熱情的。缺點也很多，當天到達酒店是晚上9點多，前台辦理入住衹有一名工作人員，本來長途開車已經很疲憊，一直還沒有吃晚飯，一直在排隊等待辦理入住真的是不舒服😔；房間在4樓，走廊有濃重的酒菜氣味，地上還鋪有裝修廣告語；房間除了兩瓶雜牌子礦泉水其他都是收費的，洗澡噴頭衹有一個頂頭的花灑，還好水壓還是可以的；可能是因為當天到達時間比較晚地下停車場沒讓；第二天的早餐也比較簡單，樣式少，麪點等餐品已經涼了。

Good location clean and small room but In front of the hotel there is a large footpath. You cannot drag your luggage across. You have to carry your luggage through the footpath. It is very difficult. Cars cannot pass in front of the hotel. Staff can not speak English. Room like pic.

Great location and great rooms including the fitness center. However, the staff were terrible. On the first day they gave us a room which had dirty tissue paper at the toilet area still there. After complaining they changed our room and while one of us were in the shower they mistanenly gave our room key to another guest who then tried to enter our room. They compensated us with free breakfast but such an error was not expected at a Marriott hotel in the first place. Very disappointing. It also felt like the staff didn't really care the whole time with a very emotionless style of talking. Unfortunate.

酒店地處海港區，出行方便。據出租車司機介紹，住在海港區最理想，出門去北戴河區其他景點距離都不遠，住宿性價比高。房間乾淨寬敞，乾濕分離，洗手枱設計的很好，和淋浴間、衞生間獨立開來，這樣使用不會擠佔時間。有洗手液和潤膚乳液，這點很喜歡，精油沐浴液味道清新。早餐豐富，選擇較多。入住時準備了水果，離店贈送了伴手禮，非常貼心。比較了很久選擇了美居酒店，也是因為信賴華住會的品質，非常滿意。

This hotel is very close to a beautiful beach which is a plus, however this hotel seems to be just for chineses guest, the staff didn't speak English and though they tried to do their best this was dissapointing about a Hilton hotel, is the first time when something so basic such as asking for the menu in the restaurant or basic questions such as the ckeck in or check out time, if they could provide me more complementary water, etc, could not do it because I could not communicate with them properly.

First, I wold like to thank the staff for their excellent service, in particular, I would like the management to recognize 我的名字是Meijiaxue for her help. Staff speak minimal English but worked very hard to understand us and give us extra care. I would recommend that the hotel have a wechat account available for foriegners to contact the front desk for easy translation. 我的名字是Meijiaxue connected with us this way, via our request. She went out of her way to help book us a car, order food and buy products.
The hotel and grounds are beautiful. The rooms are stunning and feel very high end, luxury. The building is new and well maintained. Shampoo, soap and conditioner is a lovely lavendar and mint, natural product.
Upon arrival you are given tickets for on site alpaca feeding and DIY drawing activity. We only did the alpaca feeding which only took 5 minutes but was immensely fun.
Breakfast buffet was well done and more than enough food for only 24 rooms, primarily chinese food but some western dishes.
Location was the only downfall. I thought being only 15 minutes from downtown and the beach would be no problem for a taxi. However, it was almost immposible to get a taxi or Didi. There is nothing else in the area so there are no cars in the area. One night we wanted to go to dinner and waited an hour trying to get a car, before eventually giving up. The staff then helped us to order in food instead. If you are able to get a car, its only around 20rmb to DT, when we were able to get a car.
Overall, I would absolutely visit again and recommend, Ideally with a car.

GGabi NettoJ had a lovely stay at the Argyle resort and the fact that you just need to cross the parking lot to get to the Dongshan Bathing Spot is definitely amazing! There are some tourist attractions close by, but very far from historical sites.
The room was ok, but it looked different from the pictures. Probably a bit of mold on the wall or water damage, dirty windows, and a piece of the wardrobe door was broken. Not what I would expect at a resort.
The breakfast had so many options, but very few western choices, limited to sliced bread, butter and jam, yogurt, fruits and coffee. The coffee machine always had an issue, but the staff quickly came to fix it. During my stay there, everyday someone complained about the coffee maker.
One of the things that I found really nice is that every day they would bring or leave fruit in my room. But on the last day, I was sleeping, and someone came in. She did apologize, but it was weird having someone in your room while you’re there.
In terms of amenities, they have everything really! From shower cap to razors. And the blow dryer was really good!
Because it was golden week, the staff was overwhelmed with work (lots of guests and weddings) and they didn’t talk about the facilities - gym, pool, hot springs.

PPengguna TetamuI recently stayed in room 3129 at this hotel and overall, I had a good experience. The location is excellent as it sits right in front of the beach. The hotel also has a hot spring which is a nice addition, although some areas were not functioning properly due to being broken.
The reception staff was very attentive and friendly, particularly one male employee. However, it seemed that the female staff members were not as willing to work.
I highly recommend trying the massage services offered at the hotel. I had a neck and back massage which left me satisfied.
The breakfast buffet was decent and the dining room supervisor and the reception staff at the buffet were friendly and hardworking. Most of the cooks and servers provided good service.
I would also recommend paying for the dinner buffet as it offers a wide variety of seafood. The only downside was a young grill cook who lacked proper manners when I asked a question about the food. He responded lazily and rudely. Additionally, there was a young waitress with a tattoo on her leg who seemed uninterested in working. While the rest of her colleagues were cleaning and setting up tables, she would simply join them and sit down or play with her mobile phone.
In terms of the room, the cleanliness was below the minimum standard. It was quite neglected, as they only mopped the floor and it still wasn't clean. There were hairs from previous guests throughout the room. The private hot spring in the room could also use some improvement.

NNooshinIt was my husband birthday and booked Shangri-la, It was very clean and have a stunning view. The room has a nice smell. The reception was very cheerful, and they all could speak English. I requested a birthday theme for my husband's birthday and they designed the room with some towel, also send a free cake and red wine. ( I have to mention, Thank you dears)
The breakfast was very delicious. We also tried the Buffet dinner one night, it was very delicious with both choices Chinese and Western.
The swimming pool was clean.

PPengguna TetamuThe hotel is very conveniently located to the beach and still close the city. Lao Long Tou was a 30 minute taxi ride. Whilst the restaurant is tasty, it caters for Chinese and western cuisine is limited. Not a problem if you enjoy Chinese cuisine :)

PPengguna TetamuThe hotel was absolutely amazing, I was greeted as soon as arrived by Joey who was a manger there whose service was helpful and fantastic throughout my whole stay. The breakfast was great, there was a gentleman there that was part of the staff who was very helpful. The hotel amenities were great as well. There was also Christina another staff member that was very hospitable and helpful during my stay. I would definitely recommend any family to come and visit here. I really want to thank the staff there because they were absolutely helpful throughout the two nights I spent there.

MML_SanzWhat an amazing place!!! We stayed at the Senzeyuan Hotel which is nicer than the other two hotels in my opinion. Service and cleanliness was excellent and the ladies at the front desk were so helpful and kind. Feng Ting patiently gave us information and quickly responded to any requests we had during our stay. We were very close to the beach and hot spring / water park. There are so many things to do! I went with my daughters and they had a great time. The show and beach party was their favorite! We enjoyed our dinners at the western cafe by the beach. I wish there were more restaurants and things opened but I understand not many people come to the beach in October.
I also want to thank the staff at the hot spring/ water park for being so caring. My daughter had a minor emergency and they were very concerned and even walked us back to our room. We felt very taken care of and will definitely be back!

PPengguna Tetamu酒店離海灘非常近，走路3分鐘就到了金夢灣沙灘。這個沙灘以前咩有注意過，黃金細沙，幾乎沒石子保護的很不錯。遊客也不會那麼多，很新。
酒店在香格里拉酒店旁邊，距離很近。預訂的25平米的房間，十一期間前台還給升級了50平米的房間，超出預期。房間非常大，裝修很好，衞生也不錯。室內的餐桌很實用。我推薦住雙床房，要比大床感覺佈局還簡單合理，總之就是十分寬敞。
前台服務和客房服務都很周到，有求必應。
酒店樓下有一個餐廳，雖帶雙早，前台mm送了小童早餐券，非常貼心了。
這次秦皇島之旅雖然衹有四天，玩了2次海釣，一次釣章魚、一次釣小青魚，每次收穫滿滿，有意思。

The girl at the front desk who speaks Russian was absolutely amazing, went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. However, we tried to go to a restaurant to eat once and the lady (manager I think) told us that were no tables available and we could not go in. We saw people continuously go in and more than one table available, she told us to go somewhere else. We ignored her and sat down to have our meal. Very disrespectful behaviour towards foreigners it seemed.

PPengguna Tetamu可能是因為我第一次來昌黎就住的大廈；可能是我對這個城市有偏愛；我來過昌黎數次了，衹有一次選擇了阿那亞的安瀾酒店，其餘選擇的全是大廈。這個酒店是我最喜歡的，喜歡它的乾淨衞生，喜歡它的早餐，喜歡它冬天暖融融的味道，喜歡它始終帶給我舒服的感覺。
