old fashoined hotel, but quite clean and quite, and free parking, can not conplain for the price.

I paid a whopping 133e for a cold room with pillows I wouldn’t put in my dogs bed! Home in pillowcase no breakfast included and bought the worst coffee ever in the bar. Instead of just changing it I got a smart response and an attempt to charge me for two. So weak coffee machine wasn’t properly regulated in my view. I’d book elsewhere if I were you

This is at best an Ibis-equivalent hotel. The receptionist even called it a motel. The room is small and poorly equipped. There is no coffee-machine although there is a kettle. One of the cups still had the last person's coffee rim stain. There is no air-conditioning, no fans available and it is hot and airless. The window can be opened but only if you are prepared to leave the curtains open and be in full view of people visiting the Mcdonalds opposite. The road noise is not great either. The restaurant is closed, but I was offered a microwaved mini pizza! If you must stay in a Mercure in the area, go to the Mercure City Nord in Düsseldorf.

Travelling west from Poland, I chose the hotel for its location close to the autobahn; there are also two service stations a minute away to the south. On arrival, I was disappointed to be told the bar and restaurant were both closed for the evening, with no explanation given. Fortunately there is a good restaurant, Gasthaus Pont, just a hundred metres away. Breakfast was good, though quite expensive.

Clean hotel, nice personel. A bit cold room, but good sleep. Excellent breakfast! Will use again if needed.

Lots of parking space

I booked the Mercure Hotel with the expectation to spend a three days week-end in a confortable and relaxing atmosphere. I was participating to the ironman triathlon in Duisburg, and I wanted to avoid any stress by staying in a Mercure Hotel franchise. The result was totally the opposite from my expectation. Over the three days period, no hot water was available for shower during two days !! I had to take some cold water showers in the morning !!! When I did feedback the reception about the situation, they told me that "this is not their problem, it is a technical problem". I had to complain a few minutes to get their apologize !!! it was mentionned on the Hotel notice car parking where available. It was simply a lie, only few park places where avaible (＜20). I had to park my car in a industrial area street in a zone where parking was somehow tolerated but totaly unsecure. A lot of Hotel residents were also in the same situation. The reception desk managers where absolutely unfriendly, showing no empathy and showing no respect for the customer. I was expecting at least at bit of fake empathy about the hot water problem but no miracle happened. Staying at the Mercure Hotel Düsseldorf - Ratingen was unpleasant and I do not recommend anybody to stay there. It should be mentionned in their introduction that hot water is not available everyday, and that you can park your car but not at the Hotel.

Booked at last minute with super helpful reception - great to arrive after a x12 hour delay on the Eurotunnel with a warm welcome. Perfect stayover on our way to Czech Republic.

Disappointed the bar & restaurant was not operating yet restaurants were operating nearby. Probably would choose different hotel because of that

Prima prijs- kwailiteit verhouding. Aardig personeel en nette, niet al te grote kamer. Kussens zijn niks, die zouden ze moeten vervangen. Ontbijt was goed en qua netheid ook dikke voldoende!
