Hotel Riviera

Very good hotel! Excellent location near Rhodes town centre. Various restauraunts and services nearby. Beautiful view of the beach and the seaside from our balcony. The sunset views were spectacular! Extremely clean hotel, bedlinens and towels were changed every day and rooms cleaned as well. Also very good air conditioning.

This is a very well run hotel, extremely clean. The bed linen and towels were constantly changed. All the staff were really friendly, kind and helpful. The buffet breakfasts was great. Highly recommended.

We expected a lot more from this hotel based on the pictures. I wouldn't consider it a 4 star hotel.. Rooms are old and worn out. Bathroom is small. Breakfast was very basic. Other guests were partying every night and the rooms are not soundproof. No locked space for luggage. The pool was nice though and the hotel has a great location.

Read old reviews on this hotel after booking which worried me but certainly didn't regret a 3 night stay in the Hotel Riviera Rhodes. Nice spacious clean rooms. Good breakfast English and continental buffet. Bacon and omelettes were excellent. Small pool but worth a dip and beach is across the road. Excellent barman called Michael. Good cocktails at decent prices and nothing watered down unlike some bars in the centre. Olive restaurant behind Hotel was lovely. Greek food with a chap singing and playing guitar. Mixed Nationals, British Germans Scandinavian and Greeks. Reception staff very helpful and a lovely little gift bag when you depart. Would definitely return.

The hotel, staff and location were genuinely second to none. I am almost 50 years of age and have done many solo trips in my time - This hotel rates in my top 5 and I have stayed in multiple 1* to 5* properties over the years. It’s not the most modern of hotels, but the ambiance, effort and general feeling of being a valued guest, far outweigh the slightly dated decor. I wouldn’t ever look elsewhere if I were returning to Rhodes. An absolute diamond of a property. Thank you for the outstanding service.

We stayed at this hotel for eight nights, from the 31st of July to the 8th of August. We were on the first floor, without a seaview, and only after three hours we had arrived, we were robbed. They took all our cash and a pair of very expensive sunglasses. At the hotel, once they knew what had happened, they did nothing to help us or apologise. Only after our insistence they accepted to let us move to another room. Both rooms were dirty and there were not enough sockets (only one in the whole room). We are convinced that the hotel was involved in the robbery. There are no cameras at all in the building and the thieves definitely entered from the terrace. We are strongly disappointed and we are sure we will not come back in the future. The location was good, it was easy to reach both the city centre and the beaches, but we would not consider coming back at all after this terrible experience. Bisogna dire che la qualità della struttura è davvero scadente (per esempio il bagno, i due letti singoli uniti per formare un matrimoniale, unica presa elettrica in camera, ascensore scomodo e lentissimo ecc.). Purtroppo la prima sera, mentre eravamo fuori, siamo stati derubati in camera, perdendo una parte dei soldi e un paio di occhiali da sole originali. Ci trovavamo al primo piano ma era facilmente scavalcabile e qualcuno è entrato dal balcone. Siamo convinti che qualcuno all'interno dell'hotel era d'accordo con tutto ciò. La proprietaria non ci ha rivolto neanche una parola, neanche a chiederci scusa per il disagio. Con nostra insistenza siamo riusciti almeno a farci cambiare stanza al quinto piano (parlando con i poliziotti, il vigilante dell'hotel). Colazione basica, niente di particolare, pulizia purtroppo pessima (si limitavano soltanto a fare il letto e a cambiare asciugamani). Buona soltanto la posizione, perché vicino al centro e alle spiagge più belle. Sicuramente non ci torneremo, non solo per il fatto accaduto, ma anche per la qualità dell'hotel, c'è sicuramente molto di meglio senza spendere troppo.

The clue was charging a deposit for the tv remote and a dodgy geezer wearing budgie smugglers by the tiny pool. The dust blowing in from the main road that adjoins the hotel . The surly reception with a couldn’t give a sh… attitude

Stayed in 2021. I'll start with the good: the hotel has a great location and a great view. This is where the benefits end. When we stayed in the room, we noticed that the cleaning was terrible. Many surfaces have not been cleaned. We had to buy a cleaning product at the nearest store and wash the room ourselves again. All the following days, cleaning was also very poor. The floor was dirty, and the toilet was never washed at all. We have rested in Rhodes for many years in a row in different hotels, but we have not seen such unsanitary conditions anywhere else. It's just awful. Breakfasts are monotonous, very poor, after a week they start to feel sick. I have not seen worse breakfasts in any hotel in the last 15 years. The staff is unfriendly, never the first to say hello. This hotel is the worst I've seen in Greece. Will never stay here again. Officially, this is a 4-star hotel, but actually not more than 2. Even in 2-star hotels, cleaning and breakfasts are usually better. In the room, the refrigerator stands almost in the middle of the room, with the back wall turned to the center of the room. The electrical outlet from the wall is ripped out (it looks like someone tried to put the refrigerator as it should be). I do not advise you to go here, the rest will be ruined.

The hotel is located directly on the beach. There are several restaurants and shops nearby. The port and the old town are a 15-minute walk away. An airport shuttle can be arranged at the hotel. It was very good choise.
