Koukos Rhodian Guesthouse - Adults Only

I had the privilege to have dined at Koukos the food has been an excellent introduction to authentic Greek food for myself. Overall it’s a clean environment the staff are very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. I also had the experience to have a head and back massage with Therapist Katrina the experience was great 👍🏼

We found this fabelous and homelike guesthouse accidentally while browsing the Trip Advisor in search of accomadation in Rhodes. We spent an amazing 6 nights (Elissavet Suit at the entrance floor). Extremely friendly staff, both at the reception and the restaurant made our visit so enjoyable. Great environment, small and well thought details and great food. The guesthouse has a superb location (5-10 min walk to both the windy beach and to Elli beach, 20 min walk to mediaval city). The breakfast is so generous, and must be decided in advance. A word of caution, though: if you think you need 1 portion, please tick for a half portion if you don’t want to waste delicious food. We will return for sure, maybe in early spring or late autumn. The place is open througout the year.

Food was fantastic, red wine to accompany just as good. Finished with a lovely Crème Brûlée! Great for watching the world go by. Highly recommend. If I visit again will definitely be checking out the hotel as the decor was spectacular! Overall brilliant experience!

Great cocktail bar!!!! Great a**osphere in the evening! Vasilis and Marianthi ( Maria wih flowers) knows how to make you feel great! It was a lucky discovery because you won’t find many bars in Rhodos. They have extraordinary cocktails!!!

Stayed there for 3 nights with a friend..Honesty they are professionals.. The room was awesome, always clean, the bed and the pillows was very comfy, the staf at the hotel are so kind and good.. my favourite was the breakfast which was included. They gave us a huge list with food for breakfast and we had to choose anything we wanted… dinner wasn’t included but we was eating in the restaurant of the hotel every night! It’s really a gorgeous hotel to stay in.. recommend Koukos 100%!!

From where to start? Everything there is absolutely perfect The sync between the staff by using earring, and the food!! Wow the food is great! We also stayed at the hotel for 5 nights and it was so mush friendly and warmly hospitality! The best ever i had. I am super recommended on everything the offer! From the professional bartender and to the nice waitress or the shift manager. I felt like home. Felt like really vip. For surely if i would come back to Rhodes it will be to this place and will recommend for it! I did download especially to make this review cause i don’t use so much Tripadvisor (but from now i will I swear!) because they do deserve it.

I hesitated before I wrote this review however my hesitation is be sure of one thing : this place is overated, pretentious and LOUD. My dissapointement only rivals my hefty bill : 1100 euros for 5 days. Pricey food, small portions, a lot of it has been said on Google reviews where the majority, beg your pardon, the OVERWHELMING majority of clients support my opinion. I screenshooted a lot of reviews of the restaurants from Google and more than 40 % of them were very negative. I said that to the manager and she was in denial. It leads me to think Greek from Rhodes are either oblivious to criticism or won't read what others say about them. And they should because 80 % of their economy depends on tourism. In both ways, this will be their downfall and I will take my precious dollars to Italy, Portugal, France, Africa or Asia. Let me explain why. Yes the staff is great but otherwise this place looks old, decayed and is highly overated. 1) The rooms are filthy : There were ants eating my fruits!!! Does this sound like a neat place to you; 2) The food is so-so and comes in small portions and hefty prices, something very unlike Greece; 3) There is a yuppie a**osphere to it, and therefore, YMMV; 4) There is CONSTANT Noize there you should know they are money machines before you go there. They don't care about your comfort, they certainly didn't care about mine. Arrived there on may the 16 th, first night LOUD silly dance music until 2 am. No big deal, I can sleep in the morning! The following morning? Noize in the street from 6 am - 7 am until noon! 5) They have a bar and a restaurant downstairs, therefore, they are more concerned with the latters, than the guesthouse upstairs where poor tourists struggle to sleep because of jetlag, noize oh and those annoying dance music straight up from 1991 ! Do yourself a service, I visited over 40 countries, skip this place, and go elsewhere, Wham bam thank you mam, for everything else, there is MASTERCARD ! Did I mention I paid 1187 euros for this nigh**are? Ripped me off you did, never again will it happened though, as one of their staff said to me : ''you know Greek people are not very civilized'' (her quote) - for once, we agreed! 1 star is for the staff, the rest was average.

My wife & I had just come off a week of hiking in Crete (awesome, but exhausting), and planned a few day stop-over in Rhodes before going on to Athens. My wife found this spot by accident, but it quickly became one of my favorite spots on our trip!! The hotel’s rooms are quaint but not tiny; they are well-appointed & clean and the whole establishment has a world of character! Our suite also had a balcony which overlooked the pedestrian walkway. The hotel also has an impressive restaurant and a lovely bakery attached. We ate at both and were not disappointed! The service at the hotel & restaurant was *excellent*. We could not have had a better experience here in Rhodes. If we return to the island, we’ll be staying here.

I really can’t understand the negative reviews about a food or staff or how slow was the service. Staff was very friendly and service really good. Food was amazing… shrimps were delicious, suggested to us wine was also very good. This is must visit restaurant in Rhodos. I would definitely recommend this place.
