A22 Hotel is an absolute gem, the interior, the attention to details and the staff who will go out of there to accommodate your request. My room was super spacious. The breakfast was excellent. A good selection bot in the buffet and in addition you can order from the a la carte menu. The Hotel is located in a quite part of Riga, in a front of a park and it is surrounded by fancy restaurants.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel which is situated in Old Riga not far from the castle and river. We stayed for 3 nights and were upgraded to a slightly larger room with a settee, table, coffee machine and double aspect view. Positive points: large, quiet, room with really comfy bed and different type of pillows (extra firm and very soft). Nice toiletries, fluffy towels, slippers and bathrobes. Heating was very effective! Location - easy to walk into town and down to the river. Welcoming front desk staff who speak excellent English. Nice array of breakfast options (including local cheeses, meats and fish). Nicely decorated dining rooms and lobby. Small one metre wide pool on top floor with loungers and a sauna (need to ask reception to turn on 30 mins ahead of using) Improvement ideas: cooked breakfast was a bit lukewarm on occasion and only one coffee machine was working which led to queues. No T bags or milk supplied - although there was a kettle (and fruit T bags). Sink outside bathroom which was a bit odd? It’s not a 5 star hotel - but a good city centre 4 star which was busy with lots of corporate guests during our stay. You can pre-order a taxi from reception to the airport for about 28 euros (10-15 minutes).

This hotel is very nice and cozy. It is located next to the old town and close to one of the most beautiful streets in Riga - Alberta iela. The breakfast was simple but well-encompassing. Hotel stuff was young and friendly. I would recommend this place if you travel for a long weekend!

I was greeted by very nice people at reception. The hotel room was large, comfortable and very clean. The breakfast was delicious and the cocktails in the lobby bar are also prepared by excellent masters! The location of the hotel is also excellent and I highly recommend this hotel to everyone. :)

Check-in was good other than our room had not been made up so we left our luggage in our friends room and headed out to meet other friends staying in a different hotel a couple of streets away for drinks and dinner. The receptionist was extremely apologetic but we were not concerned about the mistake. It’s a charming old-style hotel with a lovely little courtyard between the two buildings with tables and chairs for passing the time and a beautiful, tiled staircase. Our room (54) was a good size for the two us with plenty of storage space although I wish I had brought some extra hangers from home but we managed. There were 2 large single quilts on the double bed which was great as my husband prefers to sleep on top of the covers during summer but I do like a little bit of cover. The bed was super comfortable and I slept very well during our stay which is unusual for me. The bathroom is large with a shower over the bath and shower gel and hand soap is provided in dispensers over the bath and above the sink. The towels were a good size and nice and soft. The bedrooms are in corridors separated from the main stairwell/lifts by doors so the rooms are super quiet at night – we didn’t hear a thing and the windows overlooking the road outside are well sound-proofed so very little road noise. There is, unfortunately., no air-conditioning at all in the hotel and being at the front our room had the sun shining on it most of the day but there was a tall fan in the room and I took my small usb fan which I placed on the bedside table so we were not too hot during the night. There is a fridge in the room but no tea and coffee making facilities which I think is a major mistake (see below). The hotel website states free tea and coffee is available in Reception but unfortunately the machine was very small and most times I wanted to grab a coffee, particularly over the weekend, the machine was either out of water, out of beans or there were no cardboard cups. The hotel should either provide a larger machine and ensure it is well stocked or provide kettles in the rooms. This was my only negative, everything else though was great, especially the buffet breakfast in what would have been the cellar years ago – a great choice of hot and cold food, different varieties of cereal, fruit and breads and two coffee machines! The hotel doesn’t have a bar but there is a lovely little cellar bar next door which was charming and stocked a good range of local and international drinks. We visit Riga regularly and would certainly stay in this hotel again.

Nice budget Hostel in an excellent position to visit the city. Everything is walking distance and there is a bus stop just near the hotel. Easy to reach from the airport and from the bus station. Bathrooms and shower are clean and there is a microwave on each floor. There is a sink in each room and they will give you towels. There is also a caffetteria in the lobby. Receptions runs 24/7. Many restaurants nearby. I suggest staying here for price and distance from the city center.

Great location around 15 minute walk from the old city and tucked away in a quiet area off a main road. Along with my final booking details, the hosts provided me with excellent details including videos for how to access the property by myself. I somehow managed to lose this email when I arrived and the hosts were extremely prompt in helping me out. The apartment is cosy and ideal for solo travellers or couples. The kitchen is well provided with crockery, cutlery, pots and pans etc. For cooking, there's a two ring induction hob, which for my needs this was sufficient. I also noticed a dishwasher and washing maching. The TV is internet enabled, great for Netflix or Youtube streaming channels. Generally I found the hosts to be very helpful. If I'm ever in Riga again I'd be more than happy to stay in the same apartment.

We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights. We were on vacation with an 11-year-old child and we had originally booked a standard room, which we ended up upgrading to a family room because it also includes a bed for the child. The room was clean and fully met our needs. As an extra, we had also bought the early check-in service, which worked perfectly and the room was available to us as soon as we arrived at the hotel. The first night went well and we all slept great. Because I'm a bit of a light sleeper, the second night I woke up in the middle of the night and clearly heard the sound of bass coming from the nightclub below? This disturbed me so much that I couldn't sleep properly. The next night, the same thing happened again, when I went to point out the matter to the reception. In the same day they upgraded our room to a premium room category and this problem was gone. I couldn't be more grateful for how professionally this hotel handled the matter. In addition to the good service, the hotel has everything else in place: The location in Riga is perfect, the rooms were clean, the breakfast was great, the views from the rooms and from the skybar upstairs are incredible. I can sincerely recommend the hotel to everyone traveling to Riga.

Stayed in suite 3 nights, not that much a suite quality, but spacy and clean and comfortable. Though... that miniature TV on the wall made us question, why? Can you put any smaller TV in suite? Hotel location is in the middle of large traffic jams so be aware that getting anywhere takes A LOT of time and your Bolt Food also can't catch you in time. The breakfast arrangement definitely did not meet the expectations. Very strict Covid restrictions - had to eat in our room - and breakfast quality was bad. Coffee was cold and in these small cups you can only take one to your room, so you have to run like 7 times up and down to get proper amount of morning coffee! The hotel accommodated some sports team from Slovenia or smth who decided to PARTY all night so that nobody could sleep and the hotel DID NOT DO ANYTHING!! Just let the loud party go one all night until we said we'll call the police. Does that sound normal? Overall - the hotel looks nice after renovation and the price is reasonable. Hopefully someday one can have a normal buffet breakfast every morning not only when there are too many people to serve..... what's the point of these restrictions anyway? Less Covid threat when more crowded dining room? Ha ha.
