For the price a pretty reasonable hotel, remodelled rooms which are fairly small, good buffet breakfast.
It's about a 20 minute walk to two metro stations although I wouldn't want to do that at night time as there are a lot of street people.

Hotel was situated in Leme area very near the Leme Fort. For some reason, the hotel does not have a sheltered porch for alighting, but this seems to be a common thing across many hotels in the area. It is a quieter area compared to copacabana, which is honestly just nearby. Doesn’t feel unsafe at night and the receptionist is generally helpful. However room turn over service is quite inconsistent. Some days only the bed is made and there doesn’t seem to be any new towels added, but overall it’s a pleasant experience.

中規中矩的商務酒店，主要適用於第一次來不想踩雷的人（畢竟大家的點不一樣）。
巴西這邊酒店普遍都比較老，這個號稱2020年裝修但差不多還是國內2010-15年裝修的風格…但是在巴西就別想着有國內那種適合年輕人的智能酒店了。
有一個重大問題是早餐的餐廳彷彿是有設計缺陷（或者就是太封閉了聲音出不去），特別吵，不在意這個的話倒還行。
Copacabana這邊其實海景房略吵（8層及以下），完全可以住城景。

Although slightly out of the way, the views and proximity to the beach are excellent.
However, the service is quite poor and way below international standards. Most staff stand around and play with their phones (even the life guard). Breakfast is basic and doesn’t change from day-to-day. Some of the restaurant’s food is frankly embarrassing for any type of food outlet. The chefs should be quite ashamed to send it out.
The pool is area is nice but worn out. No one cleans it during the day and tables are dirty. The loungers have seen better days. English language is quite rare apart from the receptionists, which to be fair, they’re probably the best staff there.
The potential of the hotel is there - just needs good management and training. Do better!

The hotel has a nice location right next to the beach. It's a little far from most of the sights, but it's a calmer neighborhood with plenty to see. The hotel, however, was a little disappointing considering the number of stars. It felt very bare. The rooms was small and had no decoration. The lobby area really just served as an area for people to sit and wait for tours. There was no comfortable seating. The pool is small and the rooftop area is pretty windy. The rooftop bar is again not particularly comfortable with lots of echo-y hard surfaces. Everyone was very nice, but it was distinctly lacking in comfort. The Italian restaurant has really good food and it's worth eating. However, beware that it is extremely air-conditioned. I don't know why hotels insist on blasting the AC when it is so hot outside. I had to take a sweater every time I went to breakfast and I heard multiple guests complaining about the temperature. They would even seat people in slightly warmer areas of the room.

Hôtel impéccable et personnel aux petits soins. Le quartier est plaisant avec quelques restaurants autour mais quand même isolé, il faut prendre un taxi, UBER ou un bus pour se déplacer car on est loin de tout à pied. Plage magnifique mais trop de courant pour s'y baigner et l'océan est très froid. Piscine chauffée en haut du bâtiment vraiment superbe et vue magnifique. Petit déjeuner au top il y en a pour tous les goûts et le service est irréprochable. après une balade en bord de mer vraiment agréable (4 km) il est possible d'avoir une ligne de métro pour aller dans le CENTRO que je n'ai pas trouvé superbe car beaucoup de mendiants et de belles facades anciennes complétements délabrées et qui menacent de s'effonder à tout moment c”est dommage de laisser ce patrimoine partir.

O hotel é bem, a comida do restaurante é excelente, a piscina é muito bonita, mas a “vista para o lago”
é uma grande forçação de barra.
Fora isso reservei uma cama king pra 2 é me deram um quarto com 2 camas de casal.
No entanto, mesmo sendo de casal a cama era bem confortável.
O quarto era bem ok também.

Ch.perfect location in Copacabana, close to the beach (2 blocks), next to Cantagallo metro station and with plenty public and private transportations around as well as grocery stores and restaurants. Despite that the location of the hotel is quiet. Top floors can even provide you with a view on the sea (though obviously obstructed by other buidlings).
Staff is extremely helpful and nice. Be it at the reception desk, in the restaurant or staff making the rooms.
Rooms are of good size. Bed is comfortable and there is a fridge. Showers are good (pressure and temperature).
Breakfast is quite repetitive but choice is good. As common in Brazil most of the items are too sweet for my taste and not quite suitable for people suffering from diabetes or pre-diabetes.
The WiFi signal resp. the speed may be quite weak at times but that may also depend on the room location and the overall load as it tends to be much better late morning and early afternoon (ca 10 Mb up and download).
I would definitely recommend the Ibis posto 5 for stays in Copacabana.

Pontos ruins: Durante minha estada o chuveiro não esquentou, o técnico foi no quarto, ligou o aquecedor na caldeira e mesmo assim não ficou efetivamente quente. As toalhas estavam muito velhas, gastas, puídas.
Mas de forma geral recomendo o hotel e voltaria a me hospedar lá.

Check-in demorado, devido ao excesso de burocracias, em contrapartida o check-out foi super rápido. Indico a todos.
Localização do hotel é insegura para sair à noite andando pela rua, porém, como usei Uber/99 para locomoção foi super tranquilo.
Acesso fácil aos principais pontos turístico do Rio de Janeiro.

Wonderful staff who allowed us to have a later check out for our flight. Super comfortable and lovely rooms. Swimming pool was lovely with the hot sun and the showers were amazing. There was a fire alarm in the middle of the night but the staff were really helpful and sorted it quickly and efficiently.

This hotel is an absolute nighmare. We were given a room upon arrival which had broken A/C. The staff moved us to another room on 12th floor. Room was OK, but… the rooms are absolutely not sound proof. And when I mean absolutely I mean absolutely. You could hear anything from the rooms around. Even the beeping sound of housekeeping maid’s walkie-talkie on the floor below you! The elevator banging sound keeps you awake whole night. When we kindly asked to be moved back to our original room after A/C repair we were told that they would find another room for us later that day. However, for some reason it wasnt possible later. There were stains on the bathroom cieling. The staff is emotionless. Just mechanically doing their job without any emotions. The breakfast was not bad, but lacks a single piece of vegetable. Coffee is horrible. The hotel is rather old and needs some refurbishing done. The housekeeping staff needs to be more considerate towards the guests. Cleaning nearby rooms was just too loud and seeing an angry maid shouting while on the phone with someone doesnt really makes the stay pleasant. We felt like we were staying at some student’s dormitory. The location is great with a direct access to the beach. The rooftop pool was nice as well. However, the rest is just not good. Definitely will never book this hotel again.

PPengguna TetamuO hotel fica muito bem localizado, na Av. Princesa Isabel, logo depois do túnel, bem onde termina a praia do Leme e começa a de Copacabana. O atendimento na recepção foi excepcional, simpático e prestativo. O Sr. Carlos, que fez meu check-in, foi solícito, nos ofereceu a possibilidade de entrar no quarto mais cedo (13h, quando o horário seria às 15h), e guardou nossas malas na recepção enquanto batíamos perna na cidade esperando liberar o quarto. O quarto que fiquei (um twin standard) era bom, não muito amplo, mas também não era apertado, duas camas de solteiro largas, com lençóis novos e limpos, mas um colchão mole demais para meu gosto (para uma noite, não foi problema, mas passar mais noites dormindo nele seria complicado). TV smart, mas que não conseguia se conectar na internet, então ficava limitada aos canais de cabo (boa seleção de canais de filmes e séries). O banheiro é amplo, mas o box da ducha é apertado e a água não fica numa temperatura constante, você tem de ficar ajustando para mais quente ou mais frio. O quarto todo dava uma impressão de já estar precisando de reforma, e o banheiro mais ainda, mas tudo funcionando normalmente. O quarto que fiquei era conjugado (final 15) e era bem alto o ruído do vizinho quando usava o banheiro, nada que incomodasse constantemente, mas é algo a observar; em outro quarto, talvez fosse menor. Não usamos a área de lazer na cobertura, apenas a visitamos. É pequena, e a piscina é bem acanhada, mas a vista é linda. Também não contratamos o café da manhã, então não posso comentar sobre a comida. Enfim, pelo valor que paguei e para passar apenas uma noite, foi uma boa opção, sem luxos. Para uma estadia mais longa, talvez um quarto melhor resolvesse, ou então um outro hotel.

NNicholasThis property has the potential to be amazing, but it needs a few key updates. The location is fabulous, the staff is excellent, and the restaurant is great both in terms of service and food quality.
The room was spacious, and the balcony was unbeatable. If you only speak English, you can get by staying here because all of the staff speak excellent English. We encountered a problem when the showerhead broke off, but the repairman came reasonably quickly to replace it, and he was very polite and not disruptive. We ordered room service, and Dom Rio, the hotel’s restaurant, delivered it quickly. I had the filet which was cooked properly to the correct temperature (medium rare). My fiancé had the alfredo pasta which she liked a lot. The breakfast had a huge selection, and everything tasted good.
The only thing keeping this hotel from earning top marks is the general state of much of the decor in the rooms. The curtains look shabby and dirty from moisture, and the wood of the cabinets is warped also. It is very hard to maintain a room that is constantly exposed to salt water and ocean breeze, but the materials chosen have not stood up to age.
I would recommend staying here if you are interested in staying in Barra at a nice but reasonably priced hotel, but don’t expect the finest luxury. Expect a very large, fairly clean room with a comfortable bed and an amazing view.
