Nanajuana Río Dulce

The hotel is quite beautiful, very secured, in a marina with lots of birds and manicured grounds, yoga classes and nice pool area… the issues I faced were: 1) rented a 78 m2 premium room that was not the size, only 1 pillow per bed. 2) on arrival, bedsheets were dirty, also dead bugs in shower. 3) WiFi was weak, in and out 4) restaurant, didn’t follow instructions for salad 4) breakfast options are quite limited and less than healthy 5) Use mosquito repellent at dinner…

We received an excellent service, food 5 stars, pool I would recommend to put a sign how deep it is, though. We were upgraded and it was super the master suite, anniversary deco was amazing too. Thanks to all staff. They did everyting to make us feel welcomed!

The reservation process was easy, the rooms aesthetic were nice. We reserved 2 bed room for my boys and my husband and myself. Each bed for whatever reason only had one pillow and 2 towels. The bathroom shower was horrible. Not enough pressure so we literally had to hug the shower wall in order to shower. The best thing was the pool and its view. The restaurant was ok. Everyone that worked there was polite and we did address the issues we had. The pillows were eventually brought to our room once we brought it to their attention twice. Overall it was nice but we would it stay there again.

I requested extra pillows, very accomodating. The beds could be more comfortable. Service and food in the restaurant ẁas outstanding. The renovated pool, new pool and the pickleball court are a wonderful addition. Staff are very customer centered.

I had the best time at Nana Juana. The people were great and the service was top notch. The new La Rampa area is great and the empanadas are amazing. Highly recommended. The new pool is also amazing. The rooms were very comfortable and very clean.

The Villas are very clean, comfortable and spacious. The pool is very nice. Nice scenery of the River. The Restaurant food is excellent. The Staff are Great! We are not happy with the fancy multi jet shower system in the bathroom. It is almost impossible to set the temperature. It is either very hot or very cold. Some of the jets shoot water outside of the shower and make the floor very slippery. A simple rain head would be more enjoyable.

I was there for 2 nights, after spending a few nights in another hotel nearby. Because the prices were almost double, I was expecting something much nicer. The rooms are average, pillows and sheets are old and worn out. The shower was broken and didn't work, when I asked the front desk, they got someone immediately, the maintenance guy came and treated me like I didn't know how to use a shower, he didn't fix it and just walked out without saying a word. The food is overpriced, and my kids got sick with the stomach flu. The main pool is nice, for pictures. But not much room to swim. The Olympic pool by the Marina is big, but the surroundings are neglected. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it, I would go back to Rio Dulce, but here are so many nicer options, with friendly people, and good food. Sadly, not NanaJuana.

It has the potential to be great but unfortunately it lacks the attention to detail. Rooms: I got the deluxe marina, good size room with plenty area for everyone and everything, refrigerator, closet, inside sitting area, nice deck, tv and two full beds (should be queen size). The bathroom is large and the shower is has all the fancy jets all over but not enough water pressure to actually use them properly, we also couldn’t get the hot water to work. Cleaning should be supervised, we received the room looking in order but then you can start to see dust on the surface of some areas and the floor looked like it hadn’t been mopped in days. We also only got two towels for three people and after hours of asking for one extra we had to go and sit in the front desk until it was handed to us, at least 5 more people had the same problem from other rooms. Restaurant: beautiful view, big, good tasting food, slow to serve. I had one bad experience with a waitress, ordered a steak sandwich and took about an hour and a half. After an hour had gone by I told the waitress how was that possible and her direct answer was that if I didn’t like it I was in time to cancel the order and go somewhere else. I told her that was not a proper answer and gave her some positive advice on how to be of better help for future guests. Madly she made a couple more dumb comments and half an hour more later we had our food, it was tasty and great. Over all it lack service supervision but has all the potential to be great.

Rooms: Nightmare! Our room had a FROG in it! Then we were switched to a room that we later found spiders in the sheets, and roaches that had made a home in our closet. NOTHING was offered to us in terms of room compensation for any of the many room issues. Service: The restaurant was great, both food and service. The HORRIBLE service came from the "front desk supervisor" ANDRES TAYLOR who when told about our many issues (the larger or which I'll quickly cover after this mini rant) not only was dismissive of the woman in our party but continued to ignore them and asked only to speak to the men. I'm sure I don't have to explain the levels of rage that triggered. When confronted about the behavior he became combative and started using foul language to the point he called the Woman who continued to speak up "Tontas" (******). I'll let you imagine how it went thereafter. Ultimately, though, no compensation for this heinous encounter. Then, we commissioned 2 boats for the day, $3,000Q each. I'll save you the details, but one broke down causing us to not only miss out on one of the spots we were promised to go to, but they also had to cut it short and bring us back to the resort. Again, you guessed it... NO COMPENSATION nor apology. This isn't a cheap or budget establishment, yet they refused to show any level of customer service or even basic decency at any level. It should be noted there were 14 of us there occupying 7 total rooms, so it's not like we were looking to take advantage or cheap out either. SHAME ON YOU Nanajuana, and especially you ANDRES TAYLOR!!!
