Grantley Hall

Another delicious afternoon tea at the fabulous Grantley Hall. The whole experience is delivered with great attention to detail beginning with the welcome by the doorman, the greeting from the Maitre’d in the sitting room and the impeccable service by the charming Cris. When there is so much attention to detail you’re sure that the food will reflect that. The savouries were so tasty, the scones warm and served with clotted cream and two types of jam, prepared on site. The cakes were a work of art- almost a shame to break into them but needs must and they tasted as good as they looked. Add to this a selection of freshly brewed teas, where you can try as many different ones as you like. Thankfully the wether was dry so we were able to have a walk in the lovely grounds to finish off a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. We will be back.

Stayed for my wife’s 80th birthday in the Royal Suite together with my son and daughter in law who stayed in a suite. From the second you walk through the entrance it’s amazing. The room was out of this world, the staff are the best I have ever come across and I have stayed in some great hotels. The grounds are pristine and a delight to walk around. As for meals in the restaurants, perfection is the only word I can describe them as. The spa and outside area are a delight. We just cannot wait to return to this magical place.

Attentive service from the minute you enter this stunning building, beautiful decor and furnishings, interesting menu and a never ending wine list! Friendly staff in all the different areas and departments! Wonderful experience can’t wait to return

My partner asked him to marry him at this hotel, we got a complimentary upgrade to a suite and private dining experience. I felt like royalty, the staff couldn’t do enough and we want to come back and get married at Grantley Hall. The spa is amazing, food at fletchers was outstanding and the grounds are gorgeous. Can’t wait for our family and friends to experience it when we come back to tie the knot. Thank you

Where do I start?! My wife and I had 2 nights stay here last week. Grantley Hall has been on our radar for a while now, but we’ve not been able to make it work for one reason or another, so fast forward to check in, we couldn’t have been anymore excited. Grantley Hall is not just a hotel, it’s an experience. Our expectations were not just met, they were surpassed more than we could ever have imagined. The staff are fantastic, the bedrooms are pure luxury, and the gardens are beautiful. In fact, there wasn’t one area of the whole estate that I came across which looked unmaintained. It’s tranquil and the true definition of an escape. The food was exquisite, especially in Fletchers. A special mention to Tim from Fletchers who cared for us expertly. We still tell our friends now that he was one of the most approachable and friendliest, yet professional Maitre d we have ever met. He made us feel so comfortable, we actually felt like we had known him for years. I even had to ask him what he was wearing because my wife thought he smelt amazing. Every staff member we came across was a credit to be fair, but Tim was special! We can’t wait to return over the Christmas period. What a place!

We arrived at Grantley Hall tonight to celebrate our 11th Wedding Anniversary. From the moment we arrived we felt uniquely special and suitably significant. The service was tailored and in tune with our needs despite it not being made obvious to anyone before our arrival. We felt looked after and individual through out our exploration in the grounds of a real fairy tale environment. We met a couple of super in tune lively lads who went above and beyond the call of duty in pursuit of our happiness , it was only when they left us their calling cards did it transpire that they were senior team members who were all out to give us an experience to remember. Can’t recommend this virtual treasure trove of that special magic that turns one visit into a lifetime of memories all laid out by well meaning, organically lead folk who live and love that life less ordinary. Thank you Grantley.

Having visited Grantley Hall 3 times already we are looking forward to our 3 night stay next week. The attention to detail by all of the staff is amazing, with nothing being too much trouble. Their training at the academy is 1st class but also all the young men and women seem so naturally at ease but professional with all the guests. One member of staff who stood out and made our visit last time very special was Eloise who served us 2 evenings at dinner and gave us excellent local advice of places to visit in the area. She also showed a genuine interest in us as guests at Grantley Hall, and is a wonderful ambassador for the hotel. We love our walks around the stunning gardens! a must if you get the chance to visit! I’m very excited to be returning to celebrate my husbands birthday.

Five Star Hotel Five Star Pastries Fiver Star Staff Five Star overall experience If we could give Grantley Hall 10 Stars we would. A warm welcome awaits the minute you arrive from gate staff to Doorman. The Drawing Room setting for afternoon tea is stunning and exceptionally comfortable. First couse of finger sandwiches and savouries were delicious but the second course of Pastries were to die for. Three highlights were the Chocolate Swan, The Rose and Cherry with Matcha. Finished of with tea infused Scones with homemade preserves and Clotted Cream. We will definitely come again hopefully to stay next time as we were only passing through today. This is one Afternoon Tea not to be missed a credit to its creator Stephan Rose.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were treated to the most amazing stay we have ever had and we have stayed in some amazing places. My review will not do it justice but I will try and give you a taster of our stay. We pulled up to the gate and were welcomed by a very smiley lady who greeted is with a lovely warm welcome. We then made our way up the drive which gave us a view of the beautiful gardens. Arriving at the stunning Grantley Hall. We were greeted by a lovely young man who parked our car and took care of our luggage. The receptionist took us into the drawing room and gave us a lovely refreshing drink. We then went into the spa area which is fabulous, even has a snow room if you are brave enough to use it!! We then went to our beautiful room where our bags were already waiting. There was complimentary damson gin and soft drinks and snacks. We had booked the Shaun Rankin tasting menu and we were not disappointed. Each course was an experience in itself, the flavours were an amazing explosion in our mouths. The service was impeccable from the amazingly knowledgeable staff. We went then listen to a wonderful singer in Valeria’s who was fabulous. Breakfast was lovely and freshly cooked. Well done Grantley Hall, you have got it so right. Everyone should visit at least once in their lifetime.
