Esperienza ai confini dell’inverosimile. Ci siamo affidati a questo hotel 4 stelle essendo invalido 100%. Partiamo con la prenotazione online e mandiamo contestualmente una mail di anticipazione sottolineando sia la percentuale di invalidità che l’esigenza di avere un piccolo occhio di riguardo per la pulizia, non per sfiducia nei confronti dell’hotel ma per ovvie necessità di salute, che sono costretta a comunicare in ogni mio viaggio anche per aggravante Covid, che non posso permettermi di contrarre. Mi viene risposto alla mail da tale Joseph che le pareti tappezzate di tessuto hanno sempre un po’ di polvere e che se l’esigenza è troppo alta potevo cambiare Hotel (scritto proprio così). In realtà avevo chiesto solo un controllo più accurato, un po’ di pignoleria in più sul servizio, nulla di particolare. Arriviamo nel tardo pomeriggio, la stanza era già pagata online, ci viene chiesto immediatamente di assolvere alla tassa di soggiorno di € 6 a persona, ben prima di avere anche solo il numero di stanza. Qui inizia la teatrale caduta di stile e di professionalità del direttore. Premetto che alla reception c’era un ragazzo che non era il direttore e che presumo essere colui che via mail mi proponeva di cambiare hotel; gli consegno i documenti dell’invalidità e lo informo che la legge esclude gli invalidi con la 104 nel pagamento della tassa per entrambi, dapprima chiama telefonicamente il direttore, che gli chiede che stanza avevamo (per capire se era stato pagato abbastanza presumo) e poi capendo che era una economy e che ero la persona che aveva chiesto uno scrupolo il più sull’igiene, gli dice che dobbiamo pagare la tassa entrambi. Riaggancia la chiamata e mi informa. Insisto e apro la norma che espone tale fatto dicendo che non sono informati e che è riprovevole che un hotel 4 stelle non sappia nemmeno chi deve la tassa e chi no. Il giovane receptionist richiama il direttore dopo aver aperto il sito del Comune di Roma e letto (certamente per la prima volta) la norma che regolamenta la tassa per bambini, anziani ed invalidi e mi da ragione. In un impeto di inesistente professionalità il direttore chiede al receptionist di passare il suo cellulare personale a me, e inveisce dicendomi “non mi faccia arrabbiare” (perché stava guidando, ma usi l’auricolare! È reato tenere il telefono all’orecchio alla guida) e che loro hanno anche altri clienti invalidi che hanno “PERSINO LA CARROZZELLA” e pagano la tassa (scivolone di indelicatezza ed ignoranza al contempo sulle varie disabilità). Alla fine della diatriba molto sgarbata nei miei riguardi, il ragazzo si scusa e il direttore finalmente consente di assolvere ai doveri imposti dalla normativa vigente. Per terminare: stanza sufficientemente pulita (e ci mancherebbe dopo tutto ciò) ma era talmente piccola che la fine del letto toccava quasi la scrivania di fronte, a stento si girava intorno; un letto che in due si cadeva dai lati per quanto era piccolo, lo chiamano matrimoniale ‘small’ ma a mio dire risulta essere come una piazza e mezza. Senso di claustrofobia. Stanza economy senza colazione. Inoltre nemmeno un gesto di cortesia per scusarsi dell’accaduto quando abbiamo lasciato la stanza a fine soggiorno. Nemmeno le scuse a parole che avremmo molto gradito dal direttore in persona. Che vergogna, che maleducazione. Quanta poca professionalità con chi sta in economy o con chi è più debole, e che innecessario accanimento per 12€ di tasse non dovute. Nel mio caso e per la mia personale esperienza, si intende. Da un hotel 4 stelle ci aspettavamo tutto un altro stile. Sono molto amareggiata e mi sono sentita denigrata senza motivo dai modi cafoneschi del direttore, che ha reso questo soggiorno profondamente angosciante per la triste esperienza. Stanza 210.

We had such a great time at this hotel. The communication from this hotel cannot be faulted, and they couldn't have done more than enough for me and my partner, whilst in Rome I proposed to my partner, and the simple requests from the hotel they took on and went that little bit extra. The room its self was very comfortable and shower was a great size. The only thing I would say for this hotel is that, they could provide a little more water in the rooms in the fridge, and breakfast there isn't a great selection, maybe add bacon to the menu? or plain croissants. The Hotel is around 20 + min walk from attractions, or if in an taxi, pretty fast at getting around. although we walked, you're in Rome so expect to do a lot of walking. If we returned to Rome, would we stay here again? yes certainly.

This hotel was booked for us by an agent as part of a package for a long weekend in Rome. It paports to be a 4 star but this is a little generous to be honest. It is certainly a little tired and warn around the edges, with the rooms quite dated in their decor. The roo.s are not large, but this tends to be the norm in Rome. The bathroom was of a reasonable size, with a good show. The room was clean but the air-conditioning did not respond to adjustment and was on full heat so, with it being unseasonably warm, it had to be switched off and the window opened. The area is safe and a 15 minute walk to the nearest Metro which is then 1 stop to the Spanish steps and 2 from Piazza Di Popolo. As I said, the rooms need freshening (ours had a couple of broken fitments) and it would have been nice if they replenished the water in the room each day. Breakfast is well presented, with both hot and cold dishes, and the coffee very good. Overall this Hotel is OK and the staff very polite and helpful, but do not expect a true 4 star experience.

Booked into this Hotel for 3 nights after the end of a Cruise, by our travel agent, who advised that it was 4 star with good reviews. It may have been 4 star in the 50s/60s, but not on modern standards. We were allocated Room 424 on the 4th floor, accessed by probably one of the smallest & slowest lifts I've ever been in. The room itself was also small, with old furnishings, a not very appealing bathroom, with a Juliet balcony, overlooking a small courtyard;"hardly enough room to swing a cat" Complained to Reception, told that this was there standard room, which was all our agent had paid them for. Neverthless after much persuasion they agreed to move us to a bigger & better room, but not til tomorrow. They were good to their word, but still kept us on the 4th floor in Room 414, which overlooked the main road. This room was slightly bigger, configured better, with a much nicer bathroom, but still old furnishing. Both rooms had a small tv high up on a ledge which we never used. Did notice that the corridors on the lower floors were wider & carpetted, so whether the rooms were of a better standard I wouldn't like to say. Breakfast was served Buffet style, in what looked like the old wine cellars,. Not over impressed with the food on offer, which was more Continental styled, with probably the poorest scrambled egg I've ever tasted. In the end kept to cereal & toast. Serving staff not the best I've encountered also. Luckily we only used the hotel as a base, as we found it's amenities(ie Bar/Lounge) lacking in comfort/atmosphere. Nevertheless the Reception staff were most helpful & amiable. Overall we were quite disappointed with our agents choice & feel that a visit from a Hotel Inspector would be the way forward here. However it just may be that this is the standard in Rome, but don't think it will be on our revisit list

Hotel is more of a 2-star category. The room was very tiny, we were assigned the last room in the hallway and shaped like a triangle. You cant even keep your luggage flat on the floor because it will be blocking your way or the door. The hotel staff are okay but not very helpful with giving information. Location is not very close to the city center. I wont recommend this place.

Hotel was very nice. The desk people were very helpful. Especially nice was our breakfast every morning. A very nice spread of different foods, the staff was wonderful. I want to give a shout out to Rviel. He was one of the workers in the breakfast area. He was right there whenever we wanted something!! Very impressed with him.

Very nice hotel, the breakfast was great, the left a bit slow, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Make sure you know the location of the hotel, you can miss it. Nice restaurant opposite the hotel.
