Condotti 29

When we TRIED to stay here, we were told our room was given away, because someone else arrived before our 2:00 arrival. We had all the paper work with us, including confirmation. They couldn't have cared less. This was crazy as our friends had arrived the night before and told the manager that they were excited to see us and they reconfirmed the room. We were exhausted after a 12 hour flight from Shanghai, so we were a bit shell shocked and just did what the manager told us. We got in a taxi (40 euro) and went to a dump that they recc, thank goodness we asked to see the room before we committed, it was awful, bare wiring hanging from the ceiling etc. So, we got back in the taxi (40 euro) and stayed in the lobby of the Via Condoti 29 until we called ******* (thank goodness, this was the only place on that trip that we did book through them) and they got us a room at the "sister property" across the street, which turned out to be better than Condoti 29. What we found out later is that the manager was trying to keep our original rate and send us to a dump and pocket the difference, instead of sending us to the more expensive(nicer) sister property directly across the street. So, while ******* did refund our money, we were out the 80 euro taxi and the international cell phone calls. Which all added up and we could have stayed in a really nice place for all the extra money we spent. This was the worse service we had in all of Italy and all the other places we stayed turned out great. On our return to Rome on our flight out, we skipped the city altogether and stayed about 30 minutes from the airport at El Due Largo, which was fantastic!

Our favourite and first choice place to stay whenever we visit Rome. Superb decor, warm welcome, clean, comfortable and right by the Spanish Steps, all major sites are within walking distance - what more could you ask for. Beautiful continental breakfast served in your room and an excellent choice of restaurants in the immediate vicinity. There is no lift so beware if your suitcase is heavy as there are several flights of stairs, but it is worth it at the end.

What we expected and what we got were two different things. The location and lady who took care of us for most of our trip were the best we could have expected. The room was smaller than we expected, small things were broken which should have and could have been fixed easily and the wifi kept having to be reset.

This is a bed and breakfast located less than 200 meters from the base of the Spanish Steps and 250 meters from a Metro Station. Access to the building can be a little difficult when first checking in but this added security is worthwhile. Additionally there are about ten stairs to lift your heavy bags. There is no doorman nor bellboy to assist. The rooms are small but adequate and have all just been renovated. Breakfast is continental and sufficient. Rinni, the lady who runs the place is fantastic. Always ready to help. There is a laundry close by, ask Rinni for directions.

This is NOT a true hotel. They do not have staff on site to check guests in - unbeknownst to us so we had to wait for 2 hours with our luggage out in the street (until someone came out so we could sneak into the entryway) until a staff member came to let us in. When he showed up he did not apologize or anything! BTW, it was about 85 degrees outside. Then, our AC did not work. We called the manager to ask how to fix it but it never worked. We stayed one night and then moved to another hotel. It was clear that they were not going to be able to make this stay better. I would NOT recommend this place. The only decent thing was the lady that made the cappuccinos and breakfast. She was very nice and tried to help but could not help with the AC.

es un lugar con una ubicación genial sobre la via condotti justamente es ideal te moves siempre caminando, el desayuno bueno, la habitacion limpia comoda con lo necesario para estar, muy bueno !! la atencion genial te indican todo y sos libre de entrar y salir es maravilloso

Comme toujours un service parfait pour un week-end de rêve !! Nous avons été à nouveau fort bien accueillis et vous recommandons vivement cet établissement pour vos vacances en famille!! Nous espérons revenir cet été pour un séjour plus long . Merci !!

Ubicación inmejorable. Excelente atención. Desde que llegamos Alberto (un personaje muy simpático) se ocupó de facilitarnos las cosas, siempre muy bien predispuesto. Muy rico el desayuno que Alberto prepara cuando uno va al comedor. Ofrece permanentemente repetir lo que uno quiera comer o tomar. Las habitaciones espaciosas y limpias.

J'ai adoré séjourner dans ce délicieux Condotti 29 et je vous le recommande vivement; Courtoisie, raffinement, élégance, tout fut à même de rendre mon séjour inoubliable inoubliable ! J'ai fermement l'intention d'y retourner régulièrement !!
