Location to the train station is very convenient. The cleaning and breakfast wait staff are kind and courteous. The rooms are small with limited storage for clothes and luggage. The decor is tired and dated. The advertised proximity to the Trevi Fountain and Colosseum is 8 minutes away if you are driving, but it is just under 30 minutes to walk. All these aspects are manageable BUT the dismissive and rude welcome from the front desk manager was unacceptable. She was so rude and abrupt, it was almost laughable. She chastised us for knocking on the locked front door at 3 pm when we arrived to check in. Sadly the first impression of Hotel Alexis set a very negative tone to our stay there. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was a bonus for sure. Not too far from Termini to get to the attractions. The hotel was clean and offered great amenities. Great location with restaurants. Overall a highly recommended place to stay!

Would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. The room was nothing as described or pictured online, tiny room with little space to move and get changed! Booked a few nights away for my boyfriends birthday but was only 1 pillow, 1 towel when arrived. Blood stains were on the bedding, mark scratches on the wall, missing floor tiles beside the bed and a massive hole in the door to our room?! Staff not not very helpful or friendly at all when we needed assistance and made us feel like an inconvenience. A women was trying to rush us out of our room at 10am because she thought we needed to leave when we had booked for 3 nights! Not to mention how thin the walls are we were up every single night listening to our neighbour in the room next to us getting sick and women shouting from below. Also opted for bed and breakfast option which is only a coffee and small pastry/ packet of cake. Would honestly not recommend staying in this hotel to anyone mo matter the circumstance. Been in contact with love holidays regarding this also, hopefully there will br a positive outcome.

Well.....location of the hotel is great, its only 10-15 walk from the station. the hotel itself....we got put in the worst room of all pretty much looked like a bedroom's conversion at the back of the house, out the way. the bedroom window had a view of someone else's courtyard and no natural light we kept the curtains closed the whole time and the bathroom window had to be opened by a pole and you could hear the hotel next door. table in the room wasnt very sturdy. complained about the hot water to find out we had to wait a good 10 mins for it to be heated. walls had marks all over it. mattress was hard and uncomfortable breakfast wasnt the best, you got a plate with a few bits of meat and cheese on, the croissants were the best bit they were great. wouldnt stay again as i didnt feel safe in the room at all, and there was no option of changing

Booked hotel through love holidays, fab location 6 minutes from main train station, lots of amenities, local supermarkets and cafes. Metro close by. We walked to all the main sites 15 mins to the trevi fountain, an hour to Vatican and the colosseum/ Roman forum 30 mins. Hotel was clean, room was typically Italian and just what we hoped/ expected. The team at the hotel were helpful and Friendly. Breakfast was a little later than we wanted 8-9:30 but only because we had planned on early starts. A little bit of noise before the local restaurants closed but then quiet all evening. Would recommend the restaurant opersite. Lots of places to sit around the hotel inc an small outdoor area. I was very pleased with the hotel considering we booked a low budget holiday.

Great location, comfy bed and nice terrace. Not sure about it being labelled a bed and breakfast though. It’s a cup of coffee and croissant, which is suitable for people on the go but there’s no options. It was very clean and tidy. 20 min walk from the main attraction and 5 minute walk from the main train station and Stop 1 of the Hop on Hop Off buses. Staff lovely and helpful when checking in and out. The water pressure was great for a hotel too, which isn’t as common as you’d think in smaller b&bs so we were pleasantly surprised.

On arrival we weren’t to confident as the outside looked a bit dated but as soon as we checked in we found the hotel and staff to be excellent. The rooms are quite oldie worldie but have such an antique charm about them. Room was spotless fresh towels etc. also in a great location by termini. The staff were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble (even swapping and changing taxi’s for our departure.

We made a booking with this hotel online. When we arrived we were told they were fully booked and they could not accept us. Despite us making the booking. They were completely unapologetic and unhelpful. When we requested a refund through our booking agent (as we did not stay) they disputed this and dragged out the process in getting a refund. Absolutely terrible customer service. I would avoid at all costs.

This ‘hotel’ was presented as quaint, central and overall a good hotel. I do not recommend. I was travelling with my younger brother and we got there and asked for twin beds, given a double. We were brought to the room where there was a shutter broken on the window, the windows were also not secure with the turns it had, the lock in the bathroom was stuffed with tissue, there was no safe, it was overall a very grim room. They were also charging for air conditioning. On top of that I did not feel safe, as lovely as the area is and especially travelling with a minor, I would not recommend it. It’s central which is great but other than that a big no, we moved hotel within half an hour that we were there.

Very clean and staff is amazing ! Very helpful, breakfast was good ,cup of coffee and crossaint bread ,very good , location is the best we walked everywhere from there 20 min to coliseum, 25 min to trevi fountain, 1hr to Vatican ,highly recommend my friends at pinsitaly trevi best pizza in town , just Google name in maps 25 min walk real close to trevi fountain, suggestion is to walk because there is so many things there, one more thing 5 euro per day at hotel for AC remote .
