Protur Roquetas Hotel & Spa

Hotel is stunning and well kept but the quality of the food really lets it down in my opinion. There is so much good things to say about this hotel, the pools are great with lots of sun loungers and plenty of quiet areas of that what you want. Kids club and animation team were always great. The hotel itself and the decor is exquisite, a very nice place to relax. However, from the first evening meal I had, my stomach never properly adjusted to their style of cooking or the quality of the food. Honestly I would expect this type of food at a cheap 3 star hotel, I never saw any red meat, except on the Italian night they did a joint of roast beef but the whole thing was grey and burnt. All the cuts of meat used in the dishes were very cheap and unusual for what I've seen at similar hotels. Mutton chop, pork chop, lamb chop, rabbit, oxtail. Chinese night did have duck but again it was over done and mushy. The veg is always cooked en mass and is usually too soft and mushy. It's hard to find a good pairing for foods, For example, roast turkey but no potatoes, on other nights there would be 3 types.of potatoes but it was served with stie fried pork ? Always really strange combinations. I think this place could do with a culinary director who can put together a better spread of items that pair well. The Italian restaurant.did serve a veal steak, I thought that would be perfect but it was over cooked and very tough which is unusual for veal. (I asked for medium rare and it came out grey. Didn't bother to complain because by this point I was so used to this standard. And obviously I think the quality of meats needs to be upgraded a fair bit. This unfortunately lead to a few of our family going hungry on a couple of nights, we ate out in local restaurants for the lest 5 nights of our stay. Aside from the food situation, I really cannot fault this hotel, but obviously as an all inclusive package, food is a big part of the deal and for this reason I only rate this as a 3* Your hotel is wonderful and the staff work so hard. I just cannot wait to get home and eat some red meat and steamed veg. Thank you for a lovely stay, this was our second time visiting in 2 years and the food is very different to what it was a year ago. I don't think I will return here again.

We are just back from another lovely holiday. Staff make it special, its always same people and they make you feel like a family. Its our 5th visit and lready planning onthe 6th! Regard to all there, keep on the good job!!!! Animation got way better after the years and outr kids love the miniclub See you all soon

The hotel is spotlessly clean and our room was superb, very clean and to a high standard, the staff were very friendly and obliging, we did incur an incident in which we were not very pleased about. In the hotel you can choose a themed meal at an Italian or Asian restaurants, so we chose an Asian restaurant, when we arrived the staff were lovely and greeted us with a glass of sparkling wine and sat us down at a nice table, we ordered drinks and our meal, to start we had king prawns and a soup, the soup was absolutely tasteless but the prawns were fine, next came out main meal which was sweet and sour pork and a roasted vegetable curry, my sweet and sour pork was again tasteless but my partners roasted vegetable curry was shocking, it consisted of a bowl of hot milk with some cubed vegetables thrown in, at this point we left as the regular restaurant was still open so we though that we could get a descent meal there especially as we were all inclusive. We got to the restaurant just in time, we gave our room number but was told that we couldn't have our meal there as we had booked into the Asian, we were shocked and still hungry, we explained the the food was inedible and we were still hungry. We left disappointed and had to settle for a few crisps from the bar. How stupid can this be! We are now planning our annual month long holiday and thought this would be the ideal place for us but now we are not too sure.

We have just returned from ten nights, it is such a beautiful hotel. We have a 4 year old and a 9 month old and the staff were incredible. Our little girl loved all the staff but mainly Osse in the restaurant so if the management see this please pass on our thanks he was amazing. The rooms are very clean and the fridge is stocked up with soft drinks daily, honestly every member of staff is amazing. The hotel is perfect for children and adults, there is a brilliant variety of food so even if you are a picky eater there is always something to eat and it is all lovely. We should have booked a bigger room really as the one we booked wasn’t quite big enough for the four of us as the babies stuff takes up lots of space along with the 4 year olds. We can’t thank you all enough for an amazing holiday full of memories, we highly recommend this hotel.

just returned from our 11th stay at this fabulous hotel its like coming home, all staff so friendly both old and new ,cant really fault this hotel other than the baths need replacing for walk in showers , no complaints about anything , we are looking forward to returning in september

Currently here now with my Mother and two year old son We don't want to leave it's beautiful clean friendly Restaurant food is perfect snack bar is too Our family room is spacious and spotless Not visited the spa but it looks nice and people are saying it's good Not much surrounding the hotel other than a few shops and bars but enough for us and the beach is stunning!

We have just returned from a fabulous 10 day stay at the Protur Roquetas. We found the hotel immaculate with great facilities. Everything was provided in our well appointed room ( including a fully stocked fridge filled with soft drinks, which were replenished daily ) Our sea view was fantastic. We had no complaints over the food and wine in the main restaurant. Always fresh and plentiful. All the staff were so friendly, welcoming and helpful. Hopefully, we will have the pleasure to stay there again one day.

Awesome from start to end , great staff who are attentive and eager to help for anything , buffet and outside bbq / snack bar are perfect for food and drink . Junior suite was great , mini bar refilled daily . Loved the friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff , a credit to the hotel .

We are only into our 2nd day but what a experience We have stayed at numerous all inclusive hotels in Spain and Morocco but this hotel far exceeds. Mainly staffed by young people but they are a credit to hospitality, professional and friendly. I’ve never heard of this chain of hotels but I have no doubt they will grow. We have a bigger family holiday planned in September and I have already suggested a return visit
