We were traveling in Rotterdam for work/vacation and the Usual had rooms for our family of four (2 adults and 2 children). Maybe it is just us, but we have found it sometimes difficult to find quad rooms in our travels and don't like to have to book 2 rooms... So it was fortunate that the Usual had a room for us. I say fortunate because the rooms are quite large (a bed and a pull out sofa bed) that still left enough room for our luggage and moving around. There were 2 sinks, a refrigerator and dishware which really helped us out. Not that cooked in the room, it was just great to have for snacks and light eats. I believe the hotel is new as the furnishing was all modern, in excellent condition and very clean. I personally liked the style and amenities of the rooms and hotel. We were on the 6th floor which gave a small view of the city. The staff are very pleasant and helpful, though I would note that check-in is self-check-in and naturally we couldn't find our QR code that the hotel sent us...but there was someone to help us find our way. We only had drinks at the bar, which were good and reasonably priced. We did not get breakfast largely because of the price and that there are many local bakeries/coffee shops available. The hotel is in an excellent location, easy access to the tram/metro and many sights including the Maritime Museum. We stayed 5 nights and would have liked to stay longer. Highly recommend. Great stay - my first time staying in a hostel and I really enjoyed the experience. Everything is very modern and convenient. The location is great and walking distance from lots of tourist attractions and yummy food spots. The hostel is situated in a very vibrant community area, so it can get quite noisy but once you’re inside your hub you don’t hear anything! The hubs themselves are cute and the bed is super spacious - you get the option of a bottom or top hub, I recommend a top hub if you want to feel slightly more comfortable. The hubs have Bluetooth speakers, an app to control lighting and to speak to the host for any issues. My hub was clean but not as clean as I thought it would be, there were some marks on the side, random hairs and the air-con vent was very very dusty. Apart from that, everything else was perfect. You have a wristband that allows you to charge things to your hub, lock up your belongings and open your hub door which I thought was very handy! I really enjoyed my stay and it was a great first hostel experience, would definitely stay with CityHub again as it was a bargain!

From the time we walked through the front door to when we left two days later all was perfect. The staff very happy and helpful. The room was very nice and well appointed . We chose this hotel because it is connected to-the Rotterdam Cruise Terminal. It is close too many eateries. Ifwe return in the future we will rebook. This is a five star hotel. Thanks all.

The hotel is quite so-so. Not matching the very high review score. Positive: Lying in bed watching tv was comfortable. Negative: The room was not properly cleaned/made: rubbish under the bed, wornout bedding, kettle with no filter, and water stains everywhere etc.. The curtains in our room can’t be fully closed on one side - not friendly for people who want to sleep during daylight. The window can’t be opened and AC feels dusty and hard to get the room temperature balanced. One staff at the front desk was rude.

Location is good, in a newly developed area filled with modern buildings, less than 10 minutes walk from Rotterdam central station if you know the right direction. The hotel interior is old, but they try to keep up by offering necessary supplies such as paper cups, tea bags, kettle, and disposable slippers (the last one is no more common practice in Europe). With the reasonable price, it is an ok choice for a short stay.

We absolutely loved our stay at the hotel. It had such a quirky and interesting charm. The manager provided exceptional service, sharing fascinating details about the hotel and ensuring we had all the information we needed about the area. The hotel was very clean and modern. A few points of feedback: Tea and coffee are complimentary, but milk is only available upon request at reception. I wanted overnight oats from the breakfast menu, but they had run out. The male bartender was handling food without washing his hands after touching his hair. The hotel manager was outstanding and even helped us with our cruise luggage tags, making sure we were prepared for our cruise after check-out. We will definitely stay here again!

Really nice hotel. The view is stunning. Great amenities. Nice breakfast. Very near to the metro. Trams stop in front of the hotel. Very accessible. But the check in is at 3pm. Unlike other hotels, we can check in a bit earlier. But here, we had to stay at the lobby until the check in time. Good thing, you can drop your luggage at the reception desk and stroll around the city. Overall it’s good, worth the price!

Everything is as per information, which is there on the website. Coffee machine in every room would have been nice. Breakfast spread is thin and Restaurant offering breakfast is not conveniently located. Cleanliness, Location and styling is really great. Reception is welcoming and supportive.

I went to Rotterdam to visits some relatives of mine for a wedding and this was a good location for me to be close to my family and in the city center. The shops are literally behind the hotel and there are so many restaurants in walking distance. I would recommend if you don’t need luxury and just a hotel room on a budget.
