The hotel is one of the oldest building in the city but the interior surprises me with comfort, elegance as well as cleanliness. The room is comfortable and clean but it does get noisy at night from the streets and the walkway. The hotel requires room card to access to room floors which ensures the safety of their customers. The stay was excellent and managed to had a good rest. Location wise, it's less than 15 minutes walk to the Rotterdam Centraal train station and there is a McDonald's opposite of the hotel which makes the hotel's location great. Overall it's was an amazing and pleasant stay.

While booking the hotel we certainly came across more fancy sites & locations. Despite the traditional perception transmitted by the website the heart was more impressive than the shell. The dynamic staff and trendy setting did charme us differently. Turns out that surprisingly the hotel is a perfect oasis in a quite noisy city. Once inside no noise no stress just a nice trendy cocoon covering all the aspects to regenerate after a busy day in the city. The rooms are nicely designed with a view. Breakfast is still in the “old” setting, but luckily did receive a inspiring touch. Offering a lot of variance it is a good start of the day. The parking concept on the site was vague, but perfectly expected by the caretaking staff on the phone. Although close to the city centre most of the bar & restaurants are at the other end of the town, but when the weather is fine “who cares !?”.

This is our second time staying here. When in Rotterdam we shall return again. Housekeeping 0/5 Worst Housekeeping I have encountered in both staying and running hotels (now retired). The after-hours staff make up for the poor performance of the day crews. Checked in and got a soiled bathroom with number one and number two in the toilet bowl and sticky floors. Couldn't get a housekeeper to come and clean as they had left for the day. The housekeeping supervisor and manager hadn't done the necessary quality control. The next day the Do Not Disturb sign was dismissed and I received a phone call informing me that the housekeepers had left at 2.30 pm for the and they claimed that they had cleaned the room. I Cleaned the sticky floor and the toilet bowl myself. Agreed with the front desk for cleaning the room for 9.30 a.m. the next day. Of course, the housekeeper was a no-show. Turns out the housekeeping staff arrive when they want. There's a normal Albert Hjein 5 minutes by foot.(not the expensive ”to go” type) More shops and eateries inside the train station. Watch out for pickpockets. Most are women and operate despite the presence of Police. The Police are inside the train station whereas the pickpockets are outside the train station. :) Unlimited free coffee at the lobby 24/7 - 5/5

From the time we walked through the front door to when we left two days later all was perfect. The staff very happy and helpful. The room was very nice and well appointed . We chose this hotel because it is connected to-the Rotterdam Cruise Terminal. It is close too many eateries. Ifwe return in the future we will rebook. This is a five star hotel. Thanks all.

De dame van de receptie, een zwarte vrouw, haar uittsraling was zakelijk en droog. Heel anders dan ik gewend ben. Ondanks dat ik aangeef dat ik een rustige kamer graag wil vanwege mijn vriendin, zij stelt rust en privacy zeer op prijs, heeft de receptioniste een kamer gegeven bij de lift, kamer 409. Wat is de zin van online reservering vooraf?

As per the title. Easy way to check in and check out. You could do this without even speaking to anyone throughout your stay. Small room, with the big, comfy bed taking almost a third of the room space. Exactly what I need for a business trip, meeting clients, at a competitive/affordable rate for accommodation.

I had an amazing stay.. the hotel staff were very friendly and attentive.. the hotel room was clean, and the beds were comfy.. the decor in the public areas was incredible.. there was a great selection of food at breakfast and I really appreciated the fact it was served until midday.. I would highly recommend this hotel.. and if I ever travel to Rotterdam I would definitely stay here again.. 😊

The room was very nice, vibrant colors, bed was awesome, all very clean. But the big mistake they made with the renovation were the doors. They slam with a very big bang, so when anyone else on the floor enters the room, it all shakes. And then they are not isolated, you can understand discussions happening outside the room. And then, for the breakfast, dinner, lunch: only christmas music. But of the worst kind. There is no place in the region to escape this in the morning, so you have to deal with the christmas music. And for 17 euro's, it's not even worth actually what you get after your ears are in pain with ”jolly happy christmas” three times during breakfast.

Beautifully designed boutique hotel! Love the marine references and the understated elegance. You can see the care the owner has put into every aspect, and I really appreciated it and enjoyed all of the details. Rooms are on the smaller side even with upgrade but very peaceful, quiet, comfortable, lovely spaces. My room looked out onto a quiet courtyard with trees turning golden colors in the autumn weather, so beautiful. Gorgeous bathroom and lots of towels on request. Good proximity to centraal and a nice walk to everything in the city center. Seems to be a somewhat residential area with grocery stores nearby if you need provisions. Breakfast was absolutely wonderful, and staff went the extra mile to make eggs and bacon the morning of my departure—fuel for the road!—which I really appreciated. Thank you so much! Sergio the owner is lovely, very welcoming and accommodating to guest needs. Great music and nice atmosphere in a small lounge/cafe space. Note that there are no refrigerators in the rooms so you’ll need to use the first floor fridge with the front desk attendants to get things for you as needed. I must mention that there was a serious boundary issue with one male attendant my last evening there so I will not stay here again. But apart from that, this hotel is beautiful and I strongly recommend it for couples and families who will be comfortable and delighted with this hotel. Wonderful atmosphere and worth the money.
