Hotel berhampiran Mariakerk Hoogvliet, Rotterdam

Recenty we stayed one night over at the Delta hotel in Vlaardingen. We booked the Captain suite with a balcony, which is a nice, light room because of the many windows with lots of space and a beautifull view on the Nieuwe Waterweg. One minor point were the high pillows. In advance we looked forward to the breakfast, during our last stay in 2019 we enjoyed the large amount of different kinds of food to choise from and the high quality of the food. However, this time it was different: The breakfast was from average quality and the amount of food to choise from was very, very much reduced compared with our experience with the breakfast in 2019. Sadly, one thing has not changed which is the price. The current price is definitely to high for the breakfast which is offered.

Everything was great, room and bed very big and comfortable with all the amenities, good food at the restaurant and it was nice to relax in the swimming pool and spa. We had great time with our children. Position is also very good, close to parks and restaurants and close to both Rotterdam and Den Haag

I stayed at the hotel between 29/06-04/07 for a business trip. The location is very nice and next to some wonderful walking areas. The room was small but nice and I liked the minimalist style. The personnel were very helpful with a strong professional attitude and made my stay very pleasant. I want to thank them all and especially the front desk employees Max and Alysha! For sure I recommend it to others and will choose it again for possible reservations in the future.

We like the location of the hotel. It is in midst of an old town and located along the canal. Close by is a shopping haven but most shops were closed because of the public holiday. The hotel is clean and the deco is modernistic inside with a traditional facet. Breakfast was excellent and the staff is so helpful and friendly. There is car park in front of hotel but limited space.

Ich war am 3.3.-4.3.2023 zusammen mit Ehefrau und erwachsenem Sohn dort. Insgesamt 2 Zimmer die bereits im Voraus per Kreditkarte bezahlt waren. Bei Ankunft wurden wir von einer offensichtlich überforderten Rezeptionistin aufgefordert die Zimmerin bar zu bezahlen, da etwas mit der Kreditkartenabrechnung nicht funktioniere. Und bar bitte deswegen, weil ihre eigene Kreditkartenmaschine nicht funktioniere. Da wir sehr in Eile waren, unser Enkel war gerade in Rotterdam geboren worden, zahlten wir. Zwei Wochen später wurde meine Kreditkarte 2x!!!! belastet. Nach massiven Protesten wurde eine Belastung erstattet. nicht aber die Barzahlung. diesbezüglich bin ich nun seit 2 Monaten im telefonischen-und schriftlichen Austausch mit der Hoteldirektion. Obgleich der Fehler schriftlich anerkannt wurde und Zahlung zugesagt wurde, wird mit immer neuen Ausreden die Überweisung verzögert sodass der Eindruck entstanden ist, man will mich zermürben bis ich entnervt aufgebe. Tue ich aber nicht! Mein Bericht soll eine Warnung sein sich bitte nicht zu fragwürdigen Zahlungen vor Ort überreden zu lassen. Offensichtlich hat man unfähiges Personal und wenig Bereitschaft das Problem kundenfreundlich zu lösen. Ich übergebe das alles jetzt einem Anwalt.

Een nachtje in dit hotel verbleven tijdens een weekendje Rotterdam. Bij aankomst lang aan de receptie moeten wachten om in te checken. Twee personeelsleden waren samen in gesprek en dit leek belangrijker, keken geregeld zuchtend naar de steeds langer wordende rij maar kwamen niet tot actie. Kregen ook geen uitleg waarop we überhaupt aan het wachten waren. Bij de kamer aangekomen lag er vieze vaat voor de deur (kopjes en een 5 tal vorken). Op de kamer bleek de prullenbak niet geleegd na de vorige gasten, mag hopen dat de rest wel verschoond is.. Kamerinrichting opzich is prima, niets op aan te merken. Geen gebruik gemaakt van de ontbijtfaciliteiten, kinderen hebben wel het zwembad even uitgeprobeerd; de blauwe rand en het water waren vervuild. Bij ons vertrek de volgende dag lag de vuile vaat nog steeds voor de deur en de gang was gevuld met allemaal nieuw verzameld vuil serviesgoed (zowel van diner als ontbijt). Kortom; prima hotel voor een overnachting, maar lijken te kampen met een flink personeelstekort dat de gehele ervaring helaas een stuk minder maakt. Voelt hierdoor aan als een doorsnee 3-sterren hotel. Jammer!

It took over an hour to get a room from check-in. The first room didn’t have WiFi, so they sent me to another room ( they didn’t help move my luggage and I spent 25 traipsing around trying to find my rooms) - having moved room - still no WiFi and the key didn’t work. This hotel looks like a fun place to stay - but it is awful. I’ve been here an hour - apparently someone will be down to help. Can’t unpack as I expect that I’ll be moved again (and won’t get help). Have just been called and they wanted me to go to another part of the ship….where there is WiFi…I guess we’re giving up on being allowed to work in my room.
