Hotel berhampiran Monsieur Saucisson, Rotterdam

The hotel is quite so-so. Not matching the very high review score. Positive: Lying in bed watching tv was comfortable. Negative: The room was not properly cleaned/made: rubbish under the bed, wornout bedding, kettle with no filter, and water stains everywhere etc.. The curtains in our room can’t be fully closed on one side - not friendly for people who want to sleep during daylight. The window can’t be opened and AC feels dusty and hard to get the room temperature balanced. One staff at the front desk was rude.

We were traveling in Rotterdam for work/vacation and the Usual had rooms for our family of four (2 adults and 2 children). Maybe it is just us, but we have found it sometimes difficult to find quad rooms in our travels and don't like to have to book 2 rooms... So it was fortunate that the Usual had a room for us. I say fortunate because the rooms are quite large (a bed and a pull out sofa bed) that still left enough room for our luggage and moving around. There were 2 sinks, a refrigerator and dishware which really helped us out. Not that cooked in the room, it was just great to have for snacks and light eats. I believe the hotel is new as the furnishing was all modern, in excellent condition and very clean. I personally liked the style and amenities of the rooms and hotel. We were on the 6th floor which gave a small view of the city. The staff are very pleasant and helpful, though I would note that check-in is self-check-in and naturally we couldn't find our QR code that the hotel sent us...but there was someone to help us find our way. We only had drinks at the bar, which were good and reasonably priced. We did not get breakfast largely because of the price and that there are many local bakeries/coffee shops available. The hotel is in an excellent location, easy access to the tram/metro and many sights including the Maritime Museum. We stayed 5 nights and would have liked to stay longer. Highly recommend. Location is good, in a newly developed area filled with modern buildings, less than 10 minutes walk from Rotterdam central station if you know the right direction. The hotel interior is old, but they try to keep up by offering necessary supplies such as paper cups, tea bags, kettle, and disposable slippers (the last one is no more common practice in Europe). With the reasonable price, it is an ok choice for a short stay.

The reception is extremely disrespectful. As a businessman traveling around the world, I think I have experience in many hotels. The hotel is a 4 star hotel. It definitely does not deserve 5 stars. The rooms are small and simple. The beds are mediocre. The breakfast is Cafe style. They take a deposit of 100 euros at the entrance. I was satisfied with the room the next day. I asked for a change because I couldn't stay. They asked for a second deposit for a new reservation. I said there was a deposit included. It was for the first reservation. We will refund it to your account after a week. The same hotel is disrespectful enough to ask for a second deposit for a different room and arrogant enough to treat its customers as thieves. I definitely do not recommend it. In terms of hotel standard, it is really 4 stars at most, definitely not 5 stars. The rooms are 3 stars.

The location is far away from the train station, and in walking distance of the city center. The hotel should be a typical 3-star hotel but not 4-star. The room is small, with very basic service. Only four paper cups are provided: two in the washroom and two for drinking, without any other cup. The front desk staffs' attitude is just okay. When I booked the hotel in Trip.com, it was said that the hotel is a best in Rotterdam, with a very high rating. Obviously it is a misleading.

My 2nd time to book and staying in this hotel. as good as before. Good in location, 5 min. walk to Rotterdam central station. LRT just in front of the station. Good in services, we arrival at early morning 10:00, no room available, the front desk lady can keep the luggage for us, and offer free breakfast to us. Clean and tidy room and public area. Recommend this hotel to you.

Very convenient location- just two steps from central train station, so many shops and restaurants around Room is ok, good size but nothing impressive, just a regular chain hotel

My experience in this hotel was really nice. It's located near the city center and the metro station and you can practically have everything you need (supermarkets, shops, food) within a few minutes on foot. All the stuff is really kind and helpful for anything it may occur during your stay in the hotel. Breakfast has not a big variety of drinks and food but it's still really good. My only complaint about this hotel is that there is no fridge in the room, which you really going to need if you are staying for more than 5 days. All in all, I really enjoyed my stay in days inn and I would definitely visit this hotel again.

Zeer net en ruim opgezet hotel met voldoende parkeergelegenheid. Schone kamers, niet super de luxe; maar van alle gemakken voorzien je kunt een bakje koffie of thee op de kamer klaarmaken en met fijne bedden (1102). Vriendelijk en behulpzaam, Nederlands sprekend, personeel. Je kunt tot 23.45 nog een drankje bestellen in de lounge, mocht je dat willen. Het ontbijtbuffet is behoorlijk uitgebreid met diverse broodjes (hard/zacht/hartig/zoet), English breakfast, verschillende soorten yoghurt, fruit en beleg en american pancakes en een grote diversiteit aan warme en koude dranken. Er loopt voldoende, vriendelijk personeel rond waardoor je je erg welkom voelt. Wat helaas, vooral voor onze kinderen, erg vervelend was, was dat er een mevrouw in het hotel verbleef die nare en beledigende dingen naar ons riep toen wij na het ontbijt terug gingen naar onze hotelkamer. Het kwam op ons over alsof zij behoorlijk onder invloed was van iets; ze liep/ danste intimiderend in de foyer rond in haar badjas en met een handdoek om haar haar gebonden alsof ze de hele nacht al sinds de avond ervoor onderweg was naar de badkamer. Ze lachte onze zoon uit toen hij bijna tussen de liftdeur kwam wat voor hem echt heel vervelend was. Voor een net hotel als dit was dat wel een afknapper na zo'n geweldig ontbijt en verblijf. Als ik de eigenaar was had ik haar eruit gezet. Wat ook jammer was, waren de omgevingsgeluiden. Rondom het hotel is men bezig met werkzaamheden waardoor je (zelfs op de 11e verdieping) vroeg gewekt wordt door vrachtwagens die af en aan rijden.
