Hotel berhampiran Santa＇s House of Snowmobiles, Rovaniemi

L’hôtel santa holidays village est super pour les familles. Attention aux réservation que vous faites sur Trip, on a réservé un chalet pour 2 adultes et 2 enfants, arrivés pour le Check-in on nous dit que Trip a réservé uniquement pour deux adultes et donc les enfants doivent être payés en extras. Ce n’est pas sérieux pour TRIP de ne pas communiquer le vrai tarif dès la réservation. Ce site manque de transparence( il note juste une remarque disant que des frais supplémentaires peuvent être facturés par l’hôtel pour les enfants sans vous dire combien et surtout sans vous dire qu’il ont réservé uniquement pour deux personnes ). Donc le pire c’est d’avoir une chambre qui n’est même pas adapté pour une famille. A santa claus on a dû payé 30€/nuit par enfant( heureusement on avait réservé un chalet donc suffisamment grand pour 4). Nous avons eu la même expérience dans un autre hôtel sur la même période (apukka resort ) qui nous a facturé 100€ par nuit et par enfant dans un igloo, heureusement que l’igloo qui nous ont attribué pouvait accueillir 2 enfants autrement on aurait été sans possibilité de nous héberger à 4.

I cannot fault the communications beforehand (high floor request met) the cleanliness and facilities of apartment 68 for our 4 night stay were brilliant as too the location. My choosing an apartment over a hotel was for the additional comforts. As a 2 guest apartment I have suggested 2 comfortable chairs or small sofa be provided as I personally do not enjoy lounging on a bed, but neither spending 4 nights on a dining chair! Sadly our discomfort did not end there as we were cold the entire time. The heating was on max and the bathroom was warm but not the living area. Contacting customer services I was told the overall heating was based on the outside temperature ( it was -19 ) and over 24hrs later a heater arrived which was totally inadequate, kept cutting out and having been warned not to leave it on whilst we slept I did not consider it safe. As we had returned late and were departing the next day we discarded it and ended up going to bed. I have seen other reviews where this has been an issue and would of considered it a relative easy fix. The exceedingly good review I could of given has been literally left out in the cold!!

Título: ”Estadia Desafiadora no Hotel Santa Claus, Rovaniemi” --- Durante a nossa recente estadia no Hotel Santa Claus, em Rovaniemi, experimentamos tanto pontos positivos quanto negativos. Este hotel de quatro estrelas, localizado no coração da cidade, prometia uma experiência encantadora, mas revelou algumas falhas. Aspectos Positivos: 1. **Localização Central**: Situado no centro de Rovaniemi, o hotel proporciona fácil acesso a várias atrações locais. Aspectos Negativos: 1. **Pequeno Almoço Repetitivo e Desorganizado**: A oferta do pequeno almoço não variava, tornando-se monótona ao longo da estadia. Além disso, a falta de organização e limpeza nas mesas foi notória. Apesar de nos ser pedido para escolher um horário para o pequeno almoço, não havia controle efetivo, resultando em confusão e desordem no buffet. 2. **Falta de Limpeza e Comodidades no Quarto**: A falta de creme na casa de banho e a inexistência de limpeza da bancada durante os 7 dias de estadia foram decepcionantes. 3. **Acomodações Insuficientes para Roupas**: A maior dificuldade foi a ausência de um roupeiro adequado no quarto, especialmente desafiador para uma família de quatro pessoas com roupas de inverno volumosas. Apenas quatro ganchos na parede não eram suficientes para manter as roupas organizadas, resultando em uma desordem constante no quarto. Conclusão: Embora a localização do Hotel Santa Claus seja ideal, as falhas na organização do pequeno almoço, na limpeza e nas acomodações dos quartos comprometem a experiência de estadia. Recomendaria aos gestores do hotel uma revisão nestes aspectos para garantir que futuros hóspedes tenham uma experiência mais agradável e confortável.

Check in was quick loved my room. Tub is awesome the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was great lots of options. The temperature in room was a bit cold. I spoke with front desk she said there was extra heaters. I declined it was just odd to me that room had no operating heat.

We stayed 3 nights spread out over our week in Rov. Each time check in was a breeze, each room was clean, warm, comfortable and the wet room had lashing of hot water. Perfect after a busy day of activities. The breakfast was exceptional for the price. Try the buttery porridge it’s amazing and I’m 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿. Boiled eggs,meats, cheese, yoghurt and the best bread for toasting. There is even a kitchen for guests to make their own meals and a funky lounge area. And not forgetting the large sauna. All in this is the perfect base for a holiday,we even used the underground car park. Highly recommend this excellent place and it’s friendly staff

The room offered sufficient space, the bathroom was clean and looked new. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which offered a large variety of food and drinks. The sauna is also very recommandable. The location is central. There is a shopping mall just across the street, local and long distance bus stops are nearby. Personnel was very friendly and supportive.

We stayed at Arctic City Hotel on mid-March for 3 nights. Our room was a style double room on the 3rd floor with street view. The hotel's location, at the very center of Rovaniemi, is undoubtedly great. Everything one might need was in walking distance. All tour operators, shopping centers, restaurants, cafe, supermarkets and bus stations (including the bus station for Santa's Village) were literally on your doorstep. Even the central railway station, the interurban bus station and the Arcticum were just 10min away on foot even with snow. You could even walk to the observation tower of the Ounasvaara Fell, following a great path through the snowy forest (aprox. 30 min). The room was clean and warm, not too large but comfortable for a couple, with a quite comfortable bed and an interesting deco. However, the bathroom was not spacious and the shower tube was tiny. Moreover, the shower glass panels should be replaced or better set-up since the floor got soaking wet when we had a shower. The breakfast was very tasty, with plenty of food and very well served in the hotel's quite cozy restaurant. The staff was super friendly and super helpful, both in the reception and the restaurant! To sum up, the owners of this hotel should consider some refurbishment of the rooms and definitely the bathrooms, in order to meet one's expectations from a 4-star hotel and for a better value-for-money rate. Its great pros are the location, the staff and the breakfast. Despite the small bathroom, we really enjoyed our stay there and we would visit this hotel again.

The Glass Igloo is small and not much space to open the luggage, however they have a very nice hot water shower which has around max. 25mins which you will be able to relax from whole day travel ☺️ . The location is not near airport, takes almost 40mins. shuttle bus from Santa Clause village to hotel. Though this location is really good for the chance of seeing Northern Lights ! We did ! Unluckily their ice bar and ice restaurant both under renovation and we don’t have chance to experience. That’s the downside of it.
