Premier Inn London Ruislip

I have stayed in a number of Premier Inns around the U.K., this one is by far one of the worse. The outside looks tired, what was the restaurant is closed, boarded up and looks derelict. There was only one towel in the double room with a booking for 2 so I had to get dressed in the morning when realising, go down to reception, wait to be served. The room was a little tired too. All in all, it was expensive for the level of service and quality of the facilities.

This Premier Inn feels and looks desolate due to the closed and fenced off adjoining pub, so no food and drink available on site. We were not advised of this prior to arrival. Overall very tired looking with rubbish strewn car park where the local youths obviously park up to eat their McDonald's judging by all the wrappers. Lady on reception was lovely and couldn't have been more welcoming. Well done. We used this hotel to go to a show at White City TV studios which is just a 22 minute tube train ride from the nearby station, and it seemed to be the nearest Premier Inn to London with a free car park.

Perfect little hotel to rest the night before my flight home. The pub across the street, the white bear, was incredible! This was also an easy hotel to reach via tube, on the metropolitan line. And it’s just a short walk from the station

We traveled for over three hours to meet up with friends and family for my sisters birthday. The hotel looked very tired as soon as we arrived due to the pub that it is attached to being closed down. Gina on reception was lovely she was professional and made us feel very welcome. We would give her five stars but the hotel needs a lot of TLC. On arrival the room looked clean but when we took a closer look the plug whole was full of hair, the room needed a coat of paint and generally looked shabby. We would not stay here again.

The last time we stayed here we were allocated the accessible room which was awful so I emailed beforehand to check that this didn’t happen again. We were given another room which was better,apart from the missing bedside table on one side of the bed leaving just the marks where it should be and an overall dated room that had a stale smell. Because the restaurant next door is closed down it does now feel very isolated at this hotel.

We arrived at Ruislip Premier inn to find that the Restaurant next door was closed and fenced off so we had no eating facilities on site. This meant breakfast was off the menu. Ok so we were able to cope with this as it was a short drive to local restaurants for food. The second issue was that the internet wasn’t working. We were informed of this at reception on check in. The receptionist explained that she was unable to program the door keys due to this so we were only given one key for the room and this was the hotels master key for that room. Fortunately we hadn’t planned on splitting up during our stay so one key was adequate. When we arrived shortly after 3:30pm the receptionist had to go and check that our room was ready leaving us waiting in reception for a few minutes. Fortunately the room was ready but this shouldn’t have been questioned as we were after the check in time not early. Once we had got to our room (up two flight of stairs with no lift) we unpacked and started to get ready for our evening out. Unfortunately there was no water. Nothing in the taps at all and once the toilet had been flushed once it did not refill. We were unable to shower or even wash our hands! We were on a tight schedule so we just got ready as best we could and went back down to reception. We reported the issue and were reassured that all would be sorted on our return later. This was not the case. When we got back to the hotel at about 10:30pm the receptionist informed us that there was still no water but it was being fixed. We asked for an alternative room but were told that it was an issue affecting the whole hotel. We were offered alternative accommodation several miles away but this was not practical or logistically feasible. After getting to our room we realised that no water meant even brushing our teeth would be an issue so returned to reception to request some bottled water. This was provided to us but it would definitely have before better if this had been offered to us on our way in rather than as an afterthought on request. During the night the water was”fixed” with a lot of clanking of pipes however the pressure in the morning was not sufficient for a shower. When we checked out I explained how dissatisfied I was and was given the number to ring for customer relations. I eventually got through to a very helpful lady who recorded all of the details and tried to contact the hotel for verification. I am still waiting for a response

Very good quality at The Premier Inn. Well done and some great and very helpful staff. Excellent late night sleep and up easily in time for a good breakfast. The quality was quite a bit better than I'd had at hotels previously.

Kids loved the breakfast basket at reception to have some hot choc/snacks for bedtime/breakfast. Room was very warm when we arrived took a while to cool down but slept really well good sized family room and reception staff very friendly. I booked 2 nights in separate booking despite PI customer service promising me to combine the booking they sadly did not which resorted in getting woken up by the cleaning staff because I had to re check into our room (not the fault of the Ruislip hotel staff)! Otherwise everything was great and we will return!

Clearly it’s about to be shut down or they just don’t care about repeat business. I can’t remember the last time I stayed somewhere so vastly overpriced for what was really a budget experience and quite scary. Damp, worn, Old unloved rooms. No refreshments and just basically a bed on a ground floor which felt very remote and isolated. Woken up very early - I assume workers for HD2 are staying here. Won’t be coming back.
