Be warned the rooms have no air conditioning and they are like a warm oven at night. They can only give you a fan. We gave ours to the kids, and I was left having the hottest night sleep ever. The staff said they had no more fans left in the hotel for us. The staff said sleep with the door open as there are very few mosquito around, I now have 7 mosquito bits on me and have killed 2 mosquitos in the room. They did find another fan the next day, which has helped. It’s not that hot outside in the evenings, I think it’s because the building is very well insulated that the air can’t move. They advertise that they will provide walking boots, so no need to carry my own from home, this turns out to be untrue, I’ve asked twice can I get a pair of size 8 boots for tomorrow and both times, I’ve been told, yes and then go back to be told, sorry we don’t have any. It’s just disappointing when it’s an expensive hotel.

My recent visit to the Gstaad Palace was full of anticipation, looking forward to enjoying lunch while admiring the views. However, an unexpected incident overshadowed this pleasant moment. As I left the restaurant, I was confronted by a policeman, who claimed that the hotel had accused me of theft, based simply on my youthful appearance and single status. Shortly after the incident, I received a phone call and email from management expressing their sincere apologies. Their proactive approach in contacting me personally, acknowledging the mistake and expressing sincere remorse was both unexpected and much appreciated. Despite their apology, the experience was truly unpleasant. I appreciate their acknowledgement and their efforts to rectify the situation, but it's important to stress that it was a difficult situation to live through. I sincerely hope that such situations will be rare in the future, and that steps will be taken to avoid similar misunderstandings. However, knowing that the Gstaad Palace is committed to resolving problems with humility offers reassurance for future visits. In summary, my experience at Gstaad Palace was not defined solely by the incident, but rather by the care and dedication shown by management in its aftermath.

The hotel is an excellent location at the heart of the Gstaad ski area. Hotel has every facility, rooms smart and comfortable and food and wine list are superb. Best of all, the service is impeccable and staff are incredibly friendly and helpful.

Perfectly located 50 meters from Gstaad station and next to the promenade, this family run hotel has many advantages. Large rooms, very comfortable with a nice view for those oriented towards the Palace. Well equipped bathrooms. Largest culinary offer on Gstaad from bistronomy to local dishes , not neglecting a Chinese and an Italian restaurant. All of them well ranked in the yellow guide. Nice south facing terrace in Summer. Indoor swimming pool and a private fumoir for cigar lovers. Smiling and Professional service. Very reasonable fares for Gstaad, both for the rooms and for the restaurant including a fabulous wine list.

My room was located at the side of the hotel, overlooking the river. It was delightful to open my balcony door and hear the sound of running water filling my room (to be clear it was the sound that came into my room, not the water itself). Inside, the room was spacious and had a style sitting somewhere between Scandinavian and Swiss alpine. The hotel is on the edge of town and provides ready access to the surrounding countryside, including a pathway by the aforementioned river. I had both lunch and breakfast at the hotel restaurant. The food and service were good and there is a nice outdoor area to dine in, weather permitting. All of the staff that I encountered at the hotel were professional and welcoming. All in all, I had a very pleasant stay in charming Gstaad.

Best Xmas holiday with friends and family. The hotel is gorgeous, comfortable and offers a series of activities that are truly amazing for all. Kids get a choice of 3 playrooms, adults have access to the wellness spa: amazing. On top of this, the evening menus are outstanding and served by a fabulous multilingual team who tended to our needs and requests with kindness and in style! We are all planning our next Xmas holidays here for the next few years without any hesitation.
