This place is a hidden jewel. I have stayed in many IHG hotels for years and I am seriously expressing that this hotel is above and beyond with even some Crowne Plazas I have stayed before. Inside this Holiday Inn Express, the environment and staff makes you feel like home. Their friendliness and attention to details surpassed my expectations. This is my second time staying here and I have to say that I am looking forward to stay again. The rooms are decent and comfortable. It’s an express. They make sure these rooms are very clean and the policy they have of clean on demand provides the guests with more privacy. They won’t wake you up to clean the room! Just need to hang a sign if you want the room clean, and not like other hotels that you need to hang it to not be disturbed. Some reviewers gave 4 stars because of exterior and location but people don’t realize this is not their fault because the tram rails are on the front. This place has free parking. So far is the only hotel I have stayed that has that. I strongly recommend this place if you are in the area and have a vehicle like I did.

We stayed 1 night with Family and it was a good experience. Location is perfect, just 5mn walk from downtown and 10mn drive to highways. The hotel has a secured parking for 18€/night. The rooms are very nice for the price and especially the family one (Provilege) where you will find lot of drings and food. Great point ! The Bar and restaurant are very tiny but the locals are very nice and ready for help in any case. The breakfast is very standard and could be, in 2023, litlle better with some Pancakes or hot meals in addition to the ones proposed. In short, a very good deal for a break but not for a 2/3 nights sstay.

What a surprise this hotel was! We dropped in for 1 night on the way to Croatia, only to find some of the most comfy rooms, most attentive service and some of the best food we had in a while. Totally unexpected and strongly recommended to anyone traveling by car from UK to Southern Europe by car. It is also close to the main motorway and has a lovely pond and a Franco-German Friendship Park attached to the back. Well worth the detour and kudos to the staff.

Versprochen wurde laut website:”Is it our Hypnos beds, our seriously tasty food, our great value hotels or our amazing teams that guests love so much? We reckon it’s a bit of everything. Take a look around to find out why we’re a much-loved, award-winning hotel chain, and rest easy knowing our range of rates give you both choice AND flexibility.” Geliefert wurde: Ein Doppelzimmer mit Sicht auf einem Gerüst aus verrostetem Metall. Das Zimmer war nur über 2 verschiedene Treppen und einer abgelegenen Innenterrasse zu erreichen. Sah beim ersten Blick schon sehr unsicher und Zwielichtig aus. Zimmer war seit Ewigkeiten nicht mehr gelüftet, Bettzeug von schlechter Qualität und mit grauem Schleier überzogen, extrem warm (mitten im Sommer, trotz existenter Klimaanlage) und stank nach unhygienisch. Wir haben uns direkt nach Eintritt umgedreht, sind raus und haben ausgecheckt. Garage war ähnlich gut wie das Zimmer: Platz für max 10 kleine Autos und Temperatur cca 50 Grad C. Fazit: der Gegensatz zu ”great value hotels” und das ”amazing team” hat sich weder erkundigt warum wir abreisen noch sonst irgend eine Anstalt gemacht etwas für das kassierte Geld leisten zu wollen. Das Hotel ist weder für Business- noch für Privatkunden zu empfehlen. Wer ein minimum am Komfort und Hygiene haben möchten sollte wo anders suchen.

Ein ganz großes Lob an das gesamte Team des InterCity Hotels Saarbrücken unter der Führung der kompetenten Betriebsleitung Herr Körner. Von der Angebotserstellung zum persönlichen Empfang vor Ort war alles zu unserer vollsten Zufriedenheit. Hervor zu heben ist der überaus freundliche Service, die Aufmerksamkeit des Personals und das Gefühl, als Gast gesehen und wahrgenommen zu werden. Uns wurden alle Wünsche erfüllt und unsere Gruppe mit 75 Personen war rundum zufrieden, was bei einer solchen Personenanzahl wirklich als Kompliment zu verstehen ist. Viele wollen privat sogar wieder kommen. Nicht zu vergessen ist das Housekeeping. Die Sauberkeit der Zimmer muss hier noch einmal explizit erwähnt werden, da ich als Ansprechpartnerin durchweg positives Feedback erhalten habe. Liebe Gäste im InterCity oder in anderen Hotels: Auch die Gastgeber sind nur Menschen und geben unter dem Aspekt des enormen Fachkräftemangels ihr Bestes, das sollte man wirklich anerkennen und wert schätzen. Daher: Gebt Feedback, sagt ab und an mal Danke und auch das Personal freut sich über ein Lächeln! Wir sagen herzlich danke und kommen definitiv wieder!
