Bay Retreat Villas

Had a comfortable stay and had everything you needed in the property. The outside area could do with an update, cigarette ends outside front door. Most disappointed that we could not get wifi at all. Could not log into WiFi. Step outside and walk round and it was ok. Left a message but not called back regarding this. Good job wasn’t having to work!!

Not clean, we had to vacuum and clean pots and pans after we arrived. Carpets in the property is not a good idea, they had fleas. Back garden is very small and there was no grass. Otherwise, good location close to lots pf beaches and had a shop on site.

Had a great few nights here, Place clean and tidy with plenty of room inside along with parking outfront., Shops nearby with Padstow just down the road along with small shop just around corner from bay as well which meant we didn't need to go far..can't wait to come back

Just returned from a three night stay. This was our second visit and we really enjoyed it in spite of the weather! The villa (No. 8) was spotlessly clean and very comfortable with everything you could wish for in respect of self-catering. We really enjoyed the large, smart TV and the outside patio with seating when the sun did shine. Would not hesitate to recommend these villas as everything including nearby beaches and Padstow is easily accessible. The Venue Bar (5 minutes walk away) is also very good.

We couldn't fault the house itself. Very clean and modern. However, we were promised a smart TV, which is wasn't. The tv in the bedroom didn't work. The master bed was broken, sadly it was more like a seesaw. "The venue" was nice enough but wouldn't spend a huge amount of time there unless we can sit outside. The live music was very enjoyable. The location was a little difficult, you couldn't really go anywhere without a car and the taxi services in that area were awful!! Also, the welcome packs need updating as the taxi numbers are out of date, or the companies were nowhere near us. Don't get me wrong, we had a really lovely stay and if it weren't for the location, we'd stay again. There were just a couple of niggles that need looking at. Oh, and the fridge wasn't cold enough.

We stayed here for 3 nights in January with a Groupon deal. I booked with confidence after seeing the company photos as it looked lovely, however after reading some reviews about cleanliness & the bungalow park area the villa was located on I was a bit worried. This was totally unnecessary as when we arrived it was just like the photos. The key was left in the keysafe on the wall by the door and all we had to do was enter the code we were emailed to get the key. We stayed in villa 10, it was very clean and well laid out with everything a family of 4 needed. The sofa and chairs in the living area were comfortable and the bed in the main bedroom was super comfortable. One of my daughters did say her bed wasn't as good as her own at home but didn't say it wasn't comfy. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a meal in the evening & there is a dishwasher so no pot washing which is always good and there was also dishwasher tablets provided. A minor complaint would be the bath water wasnt hot, it was warm at best and I was looking forward to a hot bath after a very wet and windy day in Cornwall, the shower was nice and hot though so that was good. Also when we arrived there was a dish on the worktop with complimentary coffee sachets, sugar & UHT milk cartons, my youngest daughter loves to drink the milk cartons and did drink one before I saw they were 2 months out of date. Not great really especially as if they weren't there it wouldn't have detracted anything from our stay but by providing them out of date it created a negative image.
