Beachcombers Hotel

Lovely clean hotel , amazing breakfast!! The staff are all friendly and helpful. Our bed was huge and extremely comfortable. Daily housekeeping staff, all very friendly. Great beer , one small complaint.. some of the guests leaving at 3-4am slamming doors and talking loudly.. but all in all a great place.. will stay again.

Nice hotel in great location. Lovely and clean with helpful staff. Good restaurant and bar. We didn't use the heated pool, but others did whilst we were there in late September/early October. Not ideal for people with mobility issues since there are a few steps within the common parts.

The location of this hotel suited us very well, as we didn't want the busy hustle & bustle of St. Helier. The staff were all brilliant, Vince the general manager was most helpful. A special mention for Aaron in reception, who was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Nina in the dining room was an absolute dream, so bubbly, kind and helpful, as was Keanu. In fact all the staff should be awarded 5 stars. The food was excellent, and we had the option of evening meals, which we did occasionally. All in all, a great holiday holiday experience and we will.most likely return next year.

I will start off this review by reminding the reader this is rated as a 3 star hotel. It has no pretensions to be otherwise, and what is provided is commensurate with the very good price of staying there. In short- you get what you pay for! So it was with that in mind that we arrived at Beachcombers and were very pleasantly surprised that in fact it was much better than our tempered expectations. First of all, its location...we were a group of 4, all in our 60s, so the presentation in a semi rural surroundings suited us perfectly! Beautifully quiet, serene and restful. Its within spitting distance of the marina of Gorey...a wonderfully quiet bay which has brilliant restaurants around it . We went to the Dolphin restaurant- and can thoroughly recommend it on all counts btw! That eastern side of the island does look more like suitable for those of a quiet or elderly disposition and preference....having travelled to the superb St Brelades Bay and neighbouring St Aubin Bay, there is without doubt a busier, touristy, noisier feeling about it.- especially noticeable for the number of children there whilst there was hardly any in Gorey. Absolutely beautiful and perfect place if you have young ones to entertain. I am a disabled person and had emailed the hotel prior to my arrival and they had allocated us a room on the ground floor...a huge family room with 4 beds as it happened!- but clearly this suited my disability as there is no lift and only stairs to the upper rooms. The first impression was that it smelled clean, looked clean and was very habitable indeed. No doubt others on here will have grumbled about minor defects and faults, and yes we found a few- but none that would encourage me to even detail them as essentially we were very happy with the room-again, bearing in mind its a 3 star!!! What it may have fell short of in the rooms was more than made up for with other things-namely the wonderful staff. Always smiling, cant do enough for you and seemingly happy in the jobs. From the cleaner (who gave my wife hugs!) to Olive on the reception desk, to Keano, the amazing barman who kept us well entertained with his tales and laughter when enjoying the small bar area. On our day of departure we enquired if we could have as late a departure as possible (due to my back pain and having to wait another 7 hours til our plane left) And Olive checked with the cleaners who said that whilst the room WAS needed for a takeover that afternoon, they could manage say 1pm- an extension of 2 hours. I was most impressed by their kindness and sympathy and would not even take money for it. Not only that but she offered to make me a comfy mattress up on the library sofa where I could stay until ready. Bless her! One of our days was hot and sunny and how lovely was it around that small pool area! Few people there and still lovely and quiet. Apart that is, from the 3 resident cockerels who strut around casually crowing now and then to let us know of their prese

Overall, a good place to stay. Communication with the hotel was very good - I booked our trip independently, and they answered all my questions promptly. Our room was fine, with a view over the pool area and tennis court. Staff were efficient and friendly. We booked B&B so didn't have an evening meal in the hotel restaurant. However, breakfast was great! Lots of choice, and if a good full English is your thing then this is the place to go.

Lovely hotel, great breakfast, good service. On a bus route so really easy to get around. Lovely walk into Gorey. Clean, warm pool and nice outdoor space too. All staff very helpful. Didn’t eat in the restaurant in the evening as lots of options nearby. Worth a visit.

Have just stayed at The Beachcomber, for a week. Excellent hotel, the staff are just amazing, each and everyone of them, absolutely, nothing is to much trouble. Vince the manager is so helpful. The breakfast is great and you never have to ask for anything to be replenished. The room is kept spotless, as is the hotel and pool area. Tea/coffee in the room is plentiful. Lovely beach towels are provided for around the pool. Hotel is well situated for buses into St Helier and Gorey Pier, also for Lovely walks. Would highly recommend this hotel, it should be at least 3*plus or 4*. The staff definitely made it for us. We will return.

We had four nights at Beachcombers Hotel, and I can honestly say it was a very enjoyable stay. We had a bed & breakfast booking, and this was perfect for our stay as we travelled out every day and ate out for lunch and dinner, so this fitted our plans perfectly. The breakfast is varied and well/constantly restocked and suits all tastes, with very courteous and friendly waiting staff. The room was clean and spacious, with nice ensuite facilities and suited our tastes as we only really just slept there... there was the delightful sound of a peacock shouting in the distance at various times which was brilliant! :-) The reception staff, including the manager were friendly and helpful and made our stay an enjoyable experience. The roads around the hotel are paved so you can enjoy a walk down to Gorey (for an evening meal) or the beach without fear of walking on the road. All in all and big fat 5 out of 5, no complaints....

The hotel was clean and our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast tended to boring a selection of fruit and cereals to chose from or a self service English, but the same thing every morning became boring and I feel that a four star hotel I would like breakfast served to my table and there to be a choice of breakfast. I found some of the serving staff had poor English and occasions a bit rude. The shower head in our room was broken which I reported to reception but nothing was done about it so had to fashion a repair myself.
