The hotel is ok, some weird rules around the pool where you are obligated to wear a cap in order to access it. The safe guard is very persistent on keeping this rule. The restaurant was surprisingly better than expected. It takes about 1.5h to reach amalfi by the car from hotel. Hotel has a parking lot which is def a perk. The rooms were ok and clean.

The hotel does have a grand-presence on Lungomare. Being an older and spacious property does have it's advantages - like having a wide balcony with chairs to gaze out at the exotic Amalfi coast (photo attached). Though Easter time, we were lucky to have a room with a balcony. Conveniently located in a 10-minute walk the the Salerno station, bus-stop or concordia Pier to reach Amalfi. Room was spacious with large cupboards and a small place to cook-meals. A kettle would have been comfortable in the room. Being Asian, I love my warm water and a morning coffee. Breakfast was tasty with some of the local sweet delicacies like Sfogliatella and Conchiglia. I noticed it was spread in way which reduced food-wastage on the table. However, I missed warm sausages or omlette. Would have also liked vegetable salads and cut fruits. A variety of whole fresh fruits were accessible, but sometimes we get lazy to peel and eat an entire fruit :) Staff were friendly and helpful.

Affianco alla stazione di Salerno c'è una realtà che nessuno penserebbe così positiva per un hotel cosiddetto di passaggio... Reception efficiente, affabile, disponibile, professionale e attenta ad ogni richiesta e piccolo particolare di clienti esigenti come me...eccellenti e davvero empaticamente giusti. Camere davvero pulite, nuove, efficienti e comodissime, ogni richiesta esaudita, docce e resto del bagno particolarmente all'altezza. Posizione super comoda e per la stazione praticamente affianco e per essere praticamente in pieno centro col corso Vittorio Emanuele ad un passo così come il centro storico. Colazione molto buona e variegata. Assolutamente positiva l'esperienza che va ripetuta... complimenti a tutto lo staff..meritate l'eccellenza

L'albergo è nuovo o rinnovato. Arredamento scuro stile giapponese... ottima e vasta scelta di pasticceria fresca e torte a colazione, succhi, yogurt, caffe fresco del bar e dalla macchina dispenser, un po' di scelta di salati. Abbiamo anche cenato una sera ed era buono sia i paccheri al ragout di mare sia il pesce spada, morbidissimo. Segnalazione negativa invece da parte di diverse camere: temperatura fissa a 23,5° poi salita a,24° l'8 dicembre, insalubre al massimo... impossibile abbassarla. Abbiamo aperto uno spiraglio ma non potevamo stare tutta la notte a finestra aperta.Anche ad occupanti di altre camere è successo uguale. Abbiamo segnalato la mattina dopo e la sera al ritorno sempre 23,5°. Abbiamo riparlato con la reception e ci è stato detto che quella era la temperatura in camera e per farla abbassare dovevamo spalancare la finestra! L'abbiamo fatto ma il termostato ( non è un termometro!) non si è abbassato . Ci e stato detto di togliere la scheda che comanda l' accensione per resettare tutto, ma non è successo niente...è rimasto tutto acceso. Altra nottata soffocante. Ho letto altre vecchie recensioni che lamentano lo stesso problema...evidentemente in diverse stanze funziona male l'impianto. Forse invece che far finta di nulla sarebbe meglio ripararlo. La successiva colazione ancora buona.
