連住了4天，總體還是非常滿意的。 首先是地點，離旁邊的聖地亞哥會展中心非常近，還可以從一樓直接去會展中心，7分鐘直達； 其次是環境，帶海景，一樓有兩個游泳池；從一樓出去，大概citywalk 兩公里，沿着海邊就可以走到勝利之吻標誌打卡地 酒店衞生/設施、服務都挺不錯，還有中文前台接待 唯一不足的地方：價格貴了

La verdad es muy mala relación entre precio y calidad, es un hotel muy caro y las instalaciones están bastante normalitas, el servicio es de regular a malo ( si necesitas preguntar algo o algo se descompone tienes que ir a la recepción o a buscar ayuda porque nadie contesta el teléfono y lo puedes dejar sonar 1000 veces y eso nos pasó a nosotros y a varios de las personas con las que íbamos), y lo peor es que es súper ruidoso, día y noche suenan las tuberías y si te toca alguien arriba sus pisadas suenan fuertísimo. Definitivamente no regreso.

Jennifer Rivera-Nichols 1/5 just now on Google I arrived with my mom to check in at this worst San Diego hostel at 1am...ridiculously exhausted. My mom had just paid to park 2 blocks away and we carried armfuls of belongings with us to the hostel. When we arrived, the clerk was like, ”Reservation?” like my mom was speaking Greek. She said nothing and just walked away. Minute later the owner came in and told my mom that I was not allowed to stay there because I'm under 18. She was talking to my mom like a bully. My mom explained to the owner that our room was already paid for, that she had booked it thru hotels.com as a minor + adult, and that it was 1am already...we're exhausted and where else are we gonna get a room at that hour. I kept falling asleep on their staircase during this time because I was so tired. The lady was arguing with my mom about their rules. Meanwhile, the clerk keeps saying to my mom, ”She's just trying to help you.” That's a lie. If they wanted to help, they could have...but they did not. After a heated conversation, the owner says she will allow me to stay. I was relieved. Then 3 seconds later I just heard her tell my mom, ”Nevermind. I don't like your attitude. You need to get off my property.” WTH Really? This mean lady was gaslighting my mom, bullying her, and was mad at us for just for walking thru the door. She could have approached my mom saying, ”Hi, I'm So-and-So, the owner. It looks like there is a discrepancy with your booking. Because we have shared bathrooms here, we don't allow children. I know it's 1am, and hearing this is really stressful, but let's see what we can do to figure this out. Would you be able to accompany your daughter to the bathroom?” Instead she treated my mom really bad like she had done something wrong. We've stayed at plenty of hostels. None of them had a policy saying I could not be there. I was starting to feel really scared that I would not have a place to sleep since I heard my mom on the phone trying to find a new hotel. They were all full or $300. This Gaslamp Hostel owner is anti-children, anti-family, and made me feel like I had caused my mom so much hassle :-( After we wasted an hour trying to check in and get our money back, I tried to cheer my mom up. I was hugging her while she sat on the phone with hotels.com. I told her I could sleep in the car so she would not have to spend more money or be more stressed, but my mom said it's not safe to sleep in the car, and she didn't know where we could park to do that anyway. My mom was crying when we left. We ended up sleeping in a gross motel smoking room. I saw a bug on the table when we walked in. The owner of this cheap San Diego hotel is not a human being. A big hotel with excellent water view! It it dynamic and with a lot of activities within the hotel.

I was impressed with my stay and had a comfortable night. Bed was super comfortable and woke up refreshed. Will definitely consider staying again on future visits

Clean, comfortable and affordable. The location was excellent! Little Italy, easy walk to the trolley. Safe and clean area. In an area with great bus service, too. Staff were welcoming, friendly and funny. The common room had a nice pool table, some games and books and two comfy sofas. There is a wonderful outdoor space as well. Washer/dryer available (coin op). Very nice bunks with black out curtains, a cubby to store things, a lamp and both USB and electrical outlet charging. In the room, there are large underbed storage units that can be locked with a padlock. I would advise against using these, as it can be inconvenient for your roommates (a little loud and they take up the entire floorspace when pulled out). There are other lockers in the hall and I would recommend using them instead to avoid bothering your bunkmates. Bathrooms were a little worse for wear but were clean. Bedding is provided. Towels are provided for free (but are first come first serve). No wash clothes or toiletries are provided (some hostels do this, some do not). Kitchen is very spacious and well equipped. Really happy with my stay! Guests were off all ages, which was nice because, at 45, I often feel out of place being the oldest person in a hostel. This (thankfully) was not a ”party” hostel. Guests were fun and friendly but were not loud or rowdy.

It used to be a Comfort Inn that we have always stayed at for over 10 years but now a Best Western. Very nice upgrades, great and friendly staff, love the location, A good place to stay. Close to downtown, Old Town, Zoo, and 5 minutes to the beach and shopping and golf just 5 minutes away also.

Super happy with my experience. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. The room was ultra clean. The staff was efficient and kind, even gave me a cookie. I didn’t come with a pet, but would definitely bring my dog with me in the future. Cheers!
