The staff were lovely and welcoming, the bathroom was good and the room in general was nice. The main downside was that despite it being the 1st June, and 26 degrees during the day, the aircon was not ‘working’ as the hotel restricted its usage because it was ‘not in season’. They first told me it was a government local policy, then backtracked when my husband queried it. We asked for a fan but they did not have any available. It was pretty hot! (Bearing in mind that we had stayed in Milan, lake Como and Parma that same which where aircon was available in all hotels! The stairs are loud and room soundproofing is not great for when guests walked up and down the stairs late at night. The breakfast quite fairly average, but the coffee was not great. All in all, an okay stop.

I come here every year with family because we really enjoy staying at this hotel. The staff are lovely and are happy to help with whatever requests you have. The food is delicious and there’s something there for everyone. The rooms are very specious and clean and the beds are really comfy. The pool is big and clean. There is changing facilities beside the pool. They do massages and I had a massage and I really enjoyed it. There is also a Sauna and steam room. It is advisable to book the massage in advance as well as the Sauna and steam room. It’s very easy to get to only 30km from Bologna Airport and it’s only 15 mins outside Bologna city.

The hotel is beautiful, very clean, and they exceptional service. The staff was wonderful and friendly, and were very prompt when they were needed. The front desk were wonderful and respectful and helped in every way possible. They answered any questions, and were very patient in explaining everything. We were extremely pleased with our stay, just can’t say enough how wonderful we were treated, and will definitely come back to Relais Villa Valfiore in Venice.

We enjoyed one night at the Relais after landing in Bologna. The hotel was a 25 minute drive from the Bologna airport and was easy to find using Google Maps. It was nice to have covered parking for the car. Our room was the ground floor of a small outbuilding, and it was very charming. The amenities might be a little dated, but everything was clean and functioned well. We didn't use the pool as the weather was too cold during our visit. I don't think the pool is heated.
There was more traffic noise that I expected considering the hotel isn't off the highway, but the road by the hotel seems to service a popular gardening center and I think there's a good bit of agricultural vehicles driving by.
I arranged for us to have dinner at the hotel's restaurant. It was surprisingly packed (it's a large restaurant) with mostly Italian families. The food was good, but nothing out of the ordinary by Italian standards.
Overall, considering the price point, the hotel is good value for money.

I have spent one week in this lovely hotel which is located 15 minutes drive from the city of Bologniq in the green fields of Sqn Lazzaro di Savenna. Rooms are spacious and very clean. Stayed in 402 which is in the middle of the wonderful Villas garden surrounded by huge trees grass and flowers. The staff are really top class and hotels management should be really proud of them. Cristina and Cesare especially tried really a lot to help us finding restaurants and have been always available and ready to help. Great professionals and sound examples of how hotel employees should treat their guests. ( Also the rest of the receptions staff are equally professional and friendly nevertheless I didn’t manage to keep their names as I haven’t have the chance to interact a lot with them) Well done to all! Restaurant is also highly recommended. Food selection and quality is great, service is very professional and the atmosphere very friendly. This is really a place I would like to visit again in the near future!

A short stop over on the way further south.. nice room with a balcony, small bathroom, especially the shower.. convinient with an Italian restaurant next door which served delicious plates and offered a wide range of wine. The pool area between the hotel and the restaurant was nice, but too crowed, seems like it was not only for hotel guests, and we were lucky to get a sun chair late afternoon. A stay of one or two nights is fine.

A lovely, secluded hotel. A couple of minor issues that the staff tried to be proactive on. Some units do not have air-conditioning, was offered a unit on an upper floor that did, but stairs, for me, are a challenge. Staff put a dehumidifier that provided some relief.
There was a large party that closed the dinning room and the staff provided a list of nearby eateries to visit. The problem was that when the hotel guest returned to the property all the parking was taken and we ended up having to walk 300-400m in the dark back to the hotel. (Reserving 5 or 6 spaces would have been a good plan).
The kitchen cooks a great meal and is not to be missed. The food is paired with private label wine, that works well and is priced reasonably.
For a quiet get a way, this location is perfect.
