We have just returned from a great holiday as a family of 4! The views from our apartment were incredible and my boys loved looking out at the boats and Gibraltar Rock. The apartment was clean and spacious, our towels and beds were changed on day 5 and day 9. The resort was high up on a rock front, which gave the views but also meant that that we were a fair distance from the shops etc. We hired a car as other reviews recommended and I agree that this is essential. The supermarket on site has some essential items as you arrive but I wouldn’t rely on this and you will probably need a bigger supermarket. The cooking facilities are functional but a bit limited. There is a hob, kettle and microwave. We managed to cook some lovely food but we definitely missed having a toaster for the mornings! A lovely welcome cleaning pack is left which includes cleaning cloths, dish soap, anti bac cleaner and some dishwasher tablets. Just take your own tea towel! There are two pools. One is adults only and the other for families. There was a queue each morning to get into the family pool area to reserve sun beds. If you went down later than 10 you were unlikely to get a spot. The atmosphere around the pool is lovely with a lifeguard on duty. There was occasional entertainment throughout the day to get involved with too! There is evening entertainment but we didn’t go to much of it. My son loved the pool party though! If you are looking for an escape from the busy world then this is really an ideal place to relax and have family time!

The rooms are very nice and so is the staff. However people go early in the morning to the pool and place towels on the chairs and leave them there all day, therefore no space to sit when you come to the pool. Not very convenient and uncomfortable.

The hotel is located in the hills so the views are amazing! We could see The Gibraltar Rock from our balcony. We stayed for 11 nights, but the cleaning team only clean on the 7th day, we had to ask for fresh towels and toilet roll, I think a 3/4 day clean would be better. The Animation Tean are excellent, loads of different activities for adults and kids everyday, except a Tuesday. The quizzes and bingo are all done via your phone and great fun for all ages. Shout out to Sergio, who my son really liked! You do need to get taxis if you want to visit the other local towns, but it's only €10 and worth it to see Sottogrande, Duquesa and Estepona. The weather was lovely everyday, and perfect for pool fun and/or chilling with a book and a cocktail. Would recommend this hotel for families.

The rooms were OK they could definitely use a toaster the place is in the middle of nowhere taxi is good about 14 euros to the port the mini market is ok but you need to go shopping the pool is lovely opens dead on 10 get there about 9.40 and Kew up they could definitely do with more than 1 bar with some English speaking staff very ignorant some of them buffet you can get for 23 euros each but I wasn't impressed not worth it there is a curry house in the port shanaz I think it's called absolutely amazing food must try it . The place is OK but there are lots of steps you definitely need a car if you want to get out and there is no shuttle bus to the beach which was very annoying

We have just arrived home from our week’s holiday. The hotel was lovely and the staff were all polite and helpful. Especially the ladies who work in the shop. If you stay at this hotel you will need to hire a car as there is nothing close by, you will be stuck at the hotel the whole time. We found taxi’s were expensive and we had to have 2 taxi’s as there was 5 of us. We went self catering but had to buy all of our meals from the on site shop, we found it reasonably priced and managed to buy breakfast, lunch and dinner for around €30. The only thing I would say that needs improving is the cleaning, our room wasn’t cleaned once nor did we receive any clean bedding or towels for our whole stay. The toilets by the pool/bar were filthy, there wasn’t any soap or toilet roll and only 1 cubicle door would lock. There was a queue every morning for the sun beds and some people were running to get them, but if people reserved them and didn’t use them within about 30 mins then the life guard would remove the towels from the beds to allow someone else to make use of them which is a great idea as some people would put their towels on the beds and then sit at the bar all day or go out. All in all we had a lovely family holiday.

Thief's!! I left my wedding ring which was also my grandfather's in my bathroom beside the sink as I was going to the pool with my family and didn't want to lose it !! on my return I seen cleaners hovering outside my apartment and I went in my ring was gone !!! I informed reception and a lady who spoke English said she would contact head of cleaning and check all key cards of who has entered and I said I would return next morning when I did the lady hid and sent a man out who also spoke English and he was rude and obnoxious and just gave me the impression that they done there investigation and found out I was rite and tried covering it up absolutely disgraceful completely ruined the whole holiday on my second day and I've still 2 more to go avoid this place or guard your valuables no cameras or nothing for me to prove any of this !!!

We had a nice & relaxed family holiday here for 8 nights. The views were to die for, they were just exceptional. The apartment itself was very spacious & clean upon arrival. It consisted of two bedrooms, two bathrooms (one of which was an ensuite to one of the bedrooms), the kitchen/living room area was very big, as was the balcony area. The staff were very friendly, helpful & accommodating. The swimming pools were fantastic, and our kids really loved them. The bar generally closes by 23:00 every night after the entertainment finishes. The entertainers really do their best to ensure that fun is being had! As we are primarily English speakers, I found that most of the staff were not as bilingual as I initially thought, but this is only a minor issue, as they had the bare amount of English to get by & to help. We were fully aware of the €200 deposit before arriving, so this was no issue for us. There was a separate charge of €5 per night (€40 total for us) for parking. Having a car is essential for staying here, as it opens up where you can go every day, be it to the shops or going to another town for dinner. As we had a car, we travelled to Gibraltar (approx 30/40 mins away), and to the most of the towns/ports, it also allowed us to go to different areas to do some food shopping for our apartment. Taxis are readily available I believe on a call but I do not know the costings for them. The cleaning of the rooms was non existent, during our time there, no one came to change the bed sheets, and we went to reception to get some new/fresh towels. They really need to improve on this. The sunbeds by the pool was another issue that can be improved upon, the pool opens at 10:00, and there are generally queues of people waiting in line at the gate ready to pounce & claim a sunbed, then they disappear. This really needs to be watched by staff as it is leaving many families no where to go/sit. They could really do with more sunbeds also! Overall, we had a nice & relaxed family holiday, we knew what to expect with regards deposits, and the need of a car. Take heed to the Tripadvisor reviews as they are fairly accurate feel of the place as a whole.

Our stay at the resort was okay and the view was really nice. It was close to some lovely places for sightseeing and food - if you have access to a vehicle. We were initially put in a room on the ground floor which was not very nice. It wasn't clean, it had no view of the surroundings and didn't feel very safe for the kids. We asked to be moved and the staff were helpful and put us in a first floor room with amazing views of the rock of Gibralter and the surrounding bay. Our biggest issue with the resort was giving over a 200 euro deposit on arrival which we were not notified about and then at departure they told us we would recieve the deposit back in 4 to 5 hours back into our bank account. We have now been back off holiday for 6 days and we still haven't recieved our deposit back. The phone numbers for reception don't work and we have emailed the reception but had no reply. We have complained to love holidays - who are trying to help.
