Lands in Love / Animal Love is a true beautiful sanctuary!!! If you love animals, the rainforest, fresh healthy food, and a meaningful experience, you must come here!!! The owners are 16 friends who have dedicated their lives to taking care of the over 1000 animals here, cats, dogs, birds, horses, goats, sheep, and more! They don’t turn any away, and instead provide the care necessary to save all the animals even if it costs them a fortune. I was so moved by their dedication! You can also volunteer here and stay for free for two weeks. We are so grateful for this stay. It was so special to wake up every morning to a gorgeous view of lush rainforest, then go eat a yummy breakfast, and embark on our adventure for the day! Highly recommend the tours (we did canopy tour, ATV, and canyoning) and make sure you visit all the cute animals and show them love!!! Truly a special place!

Lior Esh from ‘Lands in love’ planned our 3 weeks trip to Casta Rica . We had a great time and she accompanied us through the whole trip. The final point in our journey was’Lands in love’ . Great people and great place. The atmosphere was amazing and they were always willing to help. We also visited the animals shelter that they built and it was inspiring. Cannot say enough about how wonderful my 82nd birthday trip was to this special place in March. My daughter and I spent a week dining on the best! vegan food, booking excursions through the hotel, walking dogs at the animal sanctuary and enjoying a room that had the artistic elements found throughout the hotel. Fluffy towels, tons of hot water and a visiting kitty. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The hotel is spacious and comfortable. What you see online is not what you always get. But everything exceeded my expectations. Took a tour of the animal sanctuary and after 50 years in animal rescue believe it is the Rolls Royce of sanctuaries.

We stayed in the Lands in Love Resort for 2 nights in November. Me and my spouse both love vegan food, this place was an excellent choice due to their fully vegan menu. We had all our meals during our stay at this restaurant. We had the opportunity to try out a lot of items in their menu. They have excellent variety in the menu, but we particularly loved all Israeli and Costa Rican dishes. The resort was also located amidst beautiful scenery with trails and waterfall within the property. We also did adventure activities booked through the resort and they took us canyoning and zip-lining in the cloud forest around the resort.

What a wonderful place! Friendly staff and AMAZING food. We only stayed two nights but wanted to work our way through the whole menu which is extensive (not something vegans are used to!!) The chef, one of the owners, came out to speak with us and was so friendly. She told us of the history of the place and the great work they do here operating a no-kill sanctuary for hundreds of dogs cats and other animals that have been discarded for one reason or another. The rooms were clean and large. The shower decent and the bed very comfortable. The lounge is airy and whilst the furniture may not be to everyone’s taste, it was comfortable. The pool was clean and at a lovely temperature, cool enough to be refreshing but warm enough not to have that oooh moment when getting in! The hotel also helped us with transport both from the airport and onto our next hotel and there were several guests doing a variety of tours/activities. There are a lot of dogs who happily bark at any human going near them. Whilst this is audible from the main reception, the rooms are no doubt purposefully located at the other end of the resort and therefore this did not affect our sleep. Would highly recommend both for vegans and non-vegans as the menu is designed to be palatable for meat eaters but without killing any animals. A perfect place to relax and be at one with nature. Lior Esh - lands in love- is the best !! We just came back from an amazing trip in Costa Rica - one of the best we ever had. Lior Esh organized it for us. She and her team are top professionals, always available, and very kind. We had a private guide most of the time.

Lands in Love is a completely unique experience, and something I am so incredibly grateful to have done in my lifetime. Spending a week here was magical - from the delicious food, to the wonderful staff, to the adventure activities scheduled daily - and it all comes with the knowledge you're supporting the no-kill animal sanctuary that gives a second chance to so many animals in need. Getting to spend time both in the native wildlife on forest tours and with the friendly animals roaming the grounds was an absolute pleasure. I don't want to go anywhere that doesn't have a free from reception cat anymore! It's a beautiful spot in itself, but also only an hour from La Fortuna too - we took a day trip to the thermal springs with a free day and it was the best of both worlds. I am in love with Lands in Love and I'm sure you will be too!!

What an amazing experience. In the middle of the national park and only 30 minutes from Arenal Vulcano, it is this amazing place. The resort is inside a vast private mountain/jungle, managed by Naama and her friends with amazing atmosphere, great food all made in-house with fresh healthy ingredients, and nature to die for.
