We stayed 5 nights and really enjoyed our time at Zamparina. The staff recommended us really nice restaurants nearby and helped us make reservations. Everyone was also very friendly with our 2 months old baby However, there were a few things that we were not happy with and could be improved. Cleanliness: - our room was not made until 1pm for two days in a row despite that we were resting at the pool from 9am onwards - our bed sheets were not changed after three nights (only once we requested the staff to change it) - upon checking in we noticed that the private balcony area did not look cleaned up: the bar table still had glass stains on it from previous guests and also the other surroundings / furniture did not look like it was arranged for new guests to arrive - the pool had lots of insects in the water already at 8am and was only cleaned upon asking the staff to do so, or we had to do it ourselves Room: - the minibar was very noisy cooling down during night so we had to unplug it during our stay - the whirlpool didn’t heat up properly and the staff had to reset it which meant we couldn‘t use it when we wanted to - 1 water bottle / day is provided by the hotel but no water glasses (we had to ask for it) - 2 amaretti are provided as a complementary snack in the room but were not refilled after the first night (only upon asking) Breakfast: - The breakfast was excellent and offered a wide range of sweet baked goods as well as different savoury dishes such as breakfast eggs or cheese and ham. - However, the service could be improved quite a bit for example removing empty plates from ones table or asking if one would like another coffee. We had to go inside ourselves to ask for a new coffee. Pool: - we were lucky as we were almost the only guests staying at the pool. If all guests would like to stay at the pool area there would not be enough space as there are only 5 pool-beds (hotel has 6 rooms in total). When checking out we shared our feedback with the receptionist but did not receive an apology or whatsoever. Hence, for a hotel in this price category I would rate it 4/5.
