Hotel Caravel

Fantastic hotel, well maintained and very clean. Staff friendly and helpful, lovely choice of food and evening meal is waiter service. Angelo the Restaurant Manager was welcoming and super efficient and Maria stood out for her excellent customer service skills and wine knowledge.

Dear Hotel Caraval, Thank you so much for the most enjoyable week we spent with you. The reception staff Giorgia, Luca & the others, sorry, I can't remember your names, were welcoming, friendly & helpful. Angelo & his team Antonnio, Rosà, Peppe, Tonio & those of you I also can't remember were both polite and efficient. The service was superb, I even got to find out the brand of coffee served at breakfast. The room was spacious & comfortable with a balcony view of Vesuvius. Kept spotlessly clean by the maids. The food we enjoyed for breakfast & evening meal was outstanding. The Hotel Caraval Red wine is superb. The pool, though not used on our stay & its surround is kept very clean & tidy. Useful free shuttle bus to Sorrento town, though it's only a 20-minute walk. I'm very sad to have left you. Thoroughly recommend this hotel. Angelo e il suo team Antonnio, Rosà, Peppe, Tonio e quelli di voi che non ricordo erano entrambi educati ed efficienti. La camera era spaziosa e confortevole con un balcone con vista sul Vesuvio. Tenuto perfettamente pulito dalle cameriere. Il cibo che abbiamo apprezzato per la colazione e la cena era eccezionale. Il vino rosso dell'Hotel Caraval è superbo. La piscina, sebbene non utilizzata e i suoi dintorni, è mantenuta molto pulita e ordinata. Utile bus navetta gratuito per la città di Sorrento, anche se è a soli 20 minuti a piedi. Sono molto triste di averti lasciato. Consiglio vivamente questo hotel.

Our stay in april at the Caravel was a wonderful experience. Situated just outside the hustle and bustle of Sorrento in the small town of Sant d'Agnello and close to the Bay. So no hills to climb in a lovely quiet district with great views. Sant agnello also has its own rail station so travel to Pompeii and naples could not be easier.The hotel was very, very comfortable in pleasant grounds and with very pleasant staff, all willing to help. Also a regular hotel courtesy buss to Sorrento. Meals were excellent with brilliant service. Overall a great holiday for us.

A very friendly welcome on arrival, which complemented the excellent food quality, The restaurant manager and all staff were friendly, polite and excellent in their attention to everyone. The bar staff too, provided a very good service, as did the reception staff. The hotel was well situated to the town with complimentary mini bus or a walk into the centre.

We have just arrived home from our 10-night stay at Hotel Caravel . . . and we want to go straight back! Having carefully studied reviews prior to booking, our expectations were high . . . the whole team at the Hotel Caravel surpassed them. From the moment we arrived to the final goodbye, everything was simply perfect. The room (upgraded to a balcony with a fabulous view) was ideal, the whole hotel was immaculately clean, every member of staff was an ambassador for the hotel, always with a smile and a happy to help approach. The food was ample and excellent, and the restaurant team, led by the incomparable Angelo were simply magnificent. This is a beautiful part of the world, but the joy of spending it in the company of this fabulous group of people made it an unforgettable experience. Thank you to the whole team . . . we will be back Angelo!

This hotel and its staff go above & beyond.. nothing is to much trouble for them ...always got a smile on there faces...the food is brill ..the courtsey bus into sorrento is a pleasure if you dont want to walk ...cannot recomend this hotel enough ...the hotel is spotless...

After a 6 night stay we were very pleased to find that the trip advisor reviews that aided us in this choice of venue were all accurate, as we found all the facilities excellent but all the staff really made such a difference to our stay . All were welcoming and friendly. The reception staff very helpful and informative in our queries re the area and route to walk into sorrento . The restaurant staff headed by Angelo and Pepe that their waiting staff, Rose Mariu, Tonino treated us so well, all ensuring that our evening meal was memorable. The menu each day was delicious and variable, we enjoyed this so much. The bar staff Giovanni and Ibrahim were lovely and friendly also We aim to return in the future .

A lovely holiday.Beautiful hotel in a good location.Excellent service from the staff.All the positive comments id read on here before going are absolutely true.I wish we'd stayed longer but would love to return.Highly recommend. We ate in the hotel on one occasion and the food was of a high standard.

Very nice hotel not quite in the hustle and bustle of Sorrento so quieter at night, but close enough to walk if needed. There is a regular mini bus service as well which is more convenient but does require more planning and pre booking if you go at a popular time. Our extended tour group was staying across 3 main hotels. The other hotels which I won't name but are close by, while still nice seemed to not match the Hotel Caravel in terms of menu choice, facilities and overall staffing I had family in one of the other hotels so had first hand as well as second hand confirmation of this. Others in our group were stunned at the difference when I gave them a tour of the Hotel Caravel or showed them our menu selection vs their own so I imagine they will feed that back to the tour operator as they paid the same as us for less. Angelo in the restaurant provides a very welcoming and excellent level of service. Going above and beyond to sort out food for you if the menu of the day is not quite to your liking just ask (Typically 5 choices of starter, main and dessert for dinner changing every day, breakfast is a buffet style with plenty of choice). Generally the level of English spoken by staff, especially at reception is enough to get what you want across and understood. Some staff may not be as fluent, more so in the restaurant but its never an issue and you are in Italy after all. I'd highly recommend a stay here if you are visiting Sorrento.
